Xuefei quickly realized that today was the day she would lay the dragon egg. Thank goodness she’d prepared in advance; otherwise, who knew what kind of chaos might have ensued.
Over the nearly month-long pregnancy, Xuefei had made every possible preparation.
At first, she simply lay quietly in the Dragon Nest, but it was dreadfully boring. So from the start, she pulled out the little trinkets she’d stashed in her pocket—a whole pile from Gathering Dragon City—and admired them one by one.
In the past, Xuefei hadn’t belonged to this world at all, nor had she been the Evil Dragon. But these toys were genuinely hers, pilfered from who-knows-where, and combined with the Evil Dragon’s hoarding obsession, they made for a perfect way to pass the time.
She dubbed them her “treasures.”
Eventually, after playing with every last “treasure” and even cycling through them several times, boredom set in again. Normally, she’d seek out more from the outside world.
But in her current pregnant state, venturing out was out of the question.
In the end, Xuefei had to make do with some oddball books: tomes chronicling ancient history, biological texts on racial physiologies, magical bestiaries that offered nothing practical but plenty of amusement, and the bizarre storybooks full of taboo romances that Leia had kindly provided…
And then there were those peculiar little erotic novels—hobbies from Leia’s human days that had somehow survived intact, even proliferating over time. That, in itself, was something of a miracle.
Though…
Had that woman always wanted to turn me into a girl?
Lost in these thoughts, Xuefei felt Leia’s hand glide over her belly. The moment it touched her taut abdomen, the Little Dragon Girl let out another adorable cry, tempting Leia to start playfully dancing her fingers across it.
“Mmm-ah… wuuu…”
“Come on, take it slow—no need to rush. It’s Xuefei’s first time, after all. Trust me, it won’t hurt much.”
“Awoo…”
Leia wrapped an arm around Xuefei’s shoulders, helping her carefully roll onto her back. Xuefei’s chest heaved with quick, ragged breaths, her eyes growing hazy.
Human childbirth was said to be agony—draining every ounce of strength through trials akin to eighty-one tribulations before the baby finally emerged.
But dragons were different.
Right now, aside from her body feeling as if she’d downed one of Leia’s custom pink potions, Xuefei found that straining did absolutely nothing.
“Leia, I can feel it… it’s coming out… but, but I’m so scared, so scared, wuuu…”
It was just laying an egg—why be afraid?
That had been Xuefei’s initial thought. But as the egg inside swelled larger and larger, until it filled her entire belly, she thought no such thing anymore.
Something that huge coming out of her body? She’d die for sure!
And so, even as the dragon egg shifted downward, Xuefei instinctively clenched up, trying to block its relentless advance.
“Don’t be scared—I’m right here~”
Leia lay on her side next to Xuefei, gently pinning her thighs with her own legs.
She reached out, probing the edge of the swollen belly, then—riding the internal pressure—gave a subtle downward nudge. Xuefei felt the warmth of Leia’s touch mingling with the egg’s rapid descent, something inexorably pushing its way free from her body!
“Wuuu-awoo…”
“Don’t be scared—I’m right here~,” Leia said, clasping Xuefei’s small hand and pouring warmth into her.
The Evil Dragon’s body was incredibly tough.
But such comforting words scattered like mist before the dragon egg’s erratic thrashing. All that remained was the flush blooming across Xuefei’s cheeks and the tremors wracking her frame.
Still, she knew full well that Leia was tenderly aiding her through this egg-laying. Any cursing or reluctance would only betray that kindness.
So Xuefei channeled her distraction into a flurry of coquettish whimpers, as if enduring some inhuman assault fiercer than the nightly passions she faced day in and day out. Her arms flew up over her head.
Those scarlet, diamond-shaped pupils—symbols of supreme malevolence—grew vacant, as if she might faint at any moment.
“Just hang in there a little longer, Xuefei. You’ll get used to the feeling soon enough.”
“Mmm-ah…”
Wait—did she just hear something outrageous? Did Leia actually enjoy watching her lay eggs?!
However, Xuefei’s thoughts were interrupted by Leia’s gentle caress. The dragon egg protruded a little more, nearly causing her to faint on the spot.
She gripped the soft cushion beneath her fiercely, as if that might divert the overwhelming sensation. But the special material prevented it from sustaining any real damage.
Why did laying an egg have to feel so… so unforgettable!
“It’s almost out, Xuefei. You can do it!”
“Where’s the… you can do it… awoo…”
It was all entirely under Leia’s control!!
Fortunately, Leia didn’t take advantage of her defenseless state to do anything excessive. In a way, Xuefei was already deeply grateful for that.
Suddenly, Leia’s hand exerted force once more, but this was the last part she could assist with. From here on, Xuefei would have to manage on her own.
“Ahh… awoo!”
Her face flushed red as she quickly grasped the reality.
“From now on, it’s all up to you, Xuefei.”
“I… wuah, got it… wuu…”
At this point, she had no choice. Long ago, she had even felt some repulsion toward this.
The next step wasn’t difficult. It marked the true arrival of the crystallization of their love—and Xuefei’s final retaliation for being pinned beneath the Evil Dragon during their struggle.
Right now, if there was one thing Xuefei wanted to do, it was to sink her teeth into something!
“Mm ah… aaah~”
“Pewf.”
After a soft (meow meow~), Xuefei felt the warm presence inside her finally empty out smoothly. Her heavy belly returned to normal. She didn’t glance at the dragon egg between her legs right away. Instead, she covered her eyes and panted weakly.
“Liar… big fat liar… wuu…”
Whoever said laying an egg wasn’t exhausting!
It had felt endlessly long!
But after the egg was out, why did her belly feel so inexplicably empty?
It was like the treasure that had accompanied her for so long had left her body. Regret and helplessness flooded Xuefei’s mind, but she paid no mind to how shameful her actions might seem. With anticipation brimming in her eyes, she lifted her head slightly to gaze at the “result” of all her hard work.
A purple egg.
It resembled a smooth crystal, its surface etched with patterns like the Starry Sky and the deep sea—the textures forming brilliant galaxies, emanating a tiny but [Eternity]’s glow.
Some unknown protective fluid coated its surface, soaking the cushion beneath.
So beautiful…
She should have been celebrating. She should have been filled with joy.
But after enduring the debilitating pregnancy and the grueling labor, Xuefei stared blankly at the sparkling dragon egg. The emptiness in her belly grew even stronger…
If she were apart from Leia, she’d have to go through this alone…
Right now, she craved companionship more than ever.
“Leia… wuu wuu wuu.” Tears streamed down Xuefei’s cheeks—perhaps from the reward of her efforts, or from the warmth of companionship and the wonder of their love’s crystallization entering the world, or simply from the void within… She broke into sobs, her face streaked with tears like pear blossoms battered by rain. With eyes full of grievance, she looked up at the grinning Leia.
“You… you said… you’d take responsibility, right?!”
