Chapter 2: The Chaebol Heir’s Canary — Wants to Take the Kitten-Like Omega Home to Raise

Listening to the alpha’s gentle coaxing, Shi Yu found she wasn’t scared anymore. She clung tightly to the other’s neck, docilely resting against her shoulder.

She’d never been clever and didn’t know if this was right, but she didn’t want to stop.

If it was a mistake, then she hoped no one would ever come to correct it.

A sting on her earlobe. Warm, damp breath scattered everywhere, making her already pounding heart race even harder.

The alpha kissed and soothed her, betraying nothing but gradually roughening breaths.

Shi Yu lifted her head to look at her, tracing the line of her jaw with her fingertip, drifting from the tip of her chin to her neck, pressing lightly against a barely perceptible Adam’s apple.

The alpha caught her hand and looked down at her. Those burning eyes churned with dark undercurrents: desire, barely contained.

Those pitch-black pupils were like whirlpools. The longer Shi Yu stared, the deeper she sank.

This alpha is just too beautiful. I must be bewitched by her looks.

Shi Yu made excuses for herself, her fingers lightly brushing the skin before her as she tilted her chin up and pecked the alpha’s lips.

Light as a dragonfly skimming water, once, twice, three times, teasing Jiang Qiuyan until she could barely stand it.

“Seducing me like this, have you thought about the consequences?”

Jiang Qiuyan’s voice was hoarse as if scorched. With every word, her gaze darkened further until it was pinned entirely on Shi Yu’s lips. As the last syllable fell, her mouth covered hers.

Her kiss was urgent and fierce, like autumn wind sweeping fallen leaves; Shi Yu couldn’t keep up.

Lips and tongues tangled, breaths mingling. Rich floral scent and crisp pine-and-cypress fragrance intertwined, driving both their temperatures ever higher.

Moisture hung thick in the air. A thin sheen of sweat broke across Shi Yu’s skin, evaporating her pheromones into an ever denser, ever more pervasive haze.

Jiang Qiuyan lifted her up the way one might pick up a house cat, letting her drape across her body, one hand cupping the back of her head while the other wrapped around her waist.

That waist was so slender it didn’t even take a full arm to encircle. Calling her a little kitten wasn’t wrong at all.

“Mm~”

Shi Yu let out a dissatisfied hum and bit the alpha’s lower lip.

Jiang Qiuyan looked up at her. “What’s wrong?”

Shi Yu buried her face in the crook of her neck and whispered, barely audible: “Stop teasing. Hurry up…”

Saying it was mortifying. The more she spoke, the softer her voice grew until Jiang Qiuyan almost couldn’t hear, though she could tell from the kitten’s expression that she was urging her on.

Jiang Qiuyan’s kisses trailed from her cheek downward, pausing at the side of her neck to nibble on her collarbone while the hand behind her traced the line of her spine…

Shi Yu arched her back slightly, round eyes brimming with tears, pitiful to behold.

“Does it hurt?”

Shi Yu shook her head and pressed down on the hand that was about to retreat.

Jiang Qiuyan gathered her into her arms and kissed her eyelids, the touch full of tenderness and preciousness.

Under the combined assault of pheromones and alpha possession, Shi Yu couldn’t stop crying. Every time tears spilled, Jiang Qiuyan licked them away and covered her face in kisses.

Shi Yu stopped crying. She was still being kissed.

Jiang Qiuyan had never been in a relationship before and didn’t know how to treat an omega. Shi Yu looked fragile and breakable; if she wasn’t gentle, the girl seemed like she might shatter at any moment.

Shi Yu pouted and tilted her face up for a kiss. Jiang Qiuyan kissed her fiercely, leaving her without the strength to breathe, dizzy and flushed.

Shi Yu had never eaten well in her life. Severely malnourished, her whole body curled up into a tiny bundle. Jiang Qiuyan held her close, never wanting to let go, wishing she could taste every inch of her.

Two figures pressed together without a seam between them. Shi Yu could hear the alpha’s heartbeat clearly, not knowing whether she was driven by heat fever or moved by this very moment.

Shi Yu’s hand drifted unconsciously over Jiang Qiuyan’s chest, sending the alpha into a frenzy again. She ducked her head and bit down on the soft flesh over Shi Yu’s heart, her lips mimicking the girl’s teasing strokes.

Shi Yu gasped and reached to push her away, but her arms were limp and weak, making it seem more like playing hard to get.

Jiang Qiuyan glanced at her through half-lidded eyes before returning to her task, wet, slick sounds rising between her lips.

Shi Yu was tormented to the brink of death, drenched in sweat, her reason burned to ash.

Gradually, she felt her strength failing.

“No… no more…”

Her voice was smothered in her mouth. Sweet liquid slid down her throat. She thought the alpha was finally going to let her go, only to realize the real beginning was just ahead.

Rain began to fall outside, a soft pattering that was barely distinguishable. Tree shadows swayed. The temperature that should have dropped showed no change as pheromones fermented in the damp, sticky air, growing richer and more intoxicating.

Shi Yu buried her face in the pillow, hands clutching the bedsheets. Her eyes ached but couldn’t produce tears.

A wide patch of the white pillowcase was soaked through with her tears, hanging at the edge of the bed on the verge of slipping off.

The blanket had fallen long ago, back when Shi Yu couldn’t take it and tried to flee.

She’d been in this world barely over a month, and had only just figured out the basic worldview. She’d thought alphas, betas, and omegas weren’t that different from ordinary people apart from having glands and pheromones.

Only now did she realize how foolish that thinking had been.

Just catching a whiff of the alpha’s escaping pheromones was enough to turn her limbs to jelly and scatter her reason. Let alone in a situation like this, where that bone-deep itch was impossible to resist. She could only become a slave to desire.

If she’d known, she should have left when the other told her to go…

Shi Yu felt a pang of regret.

A hand reached from behind to cup her chin. Warm breath soon ghosted over her gland, making her body stiffen involuntarily.

“What are you thinking about? Am I not working hard enough? How can you be distracted at a time like this?”

Shi Yu opened her mouth to speak, but her lips were seized. The alpha’s distinctive, crisp fragrance swept over her, giving her scattered mind a brief respite.

The alpha’s pheromones smelled of winter pine and cypress, a very faint woodsy green scent, cool yet brimming with vitality.

Shi Yu turned her head to kiss her. After a long while, her neck and shoulders ached all over. The alpha casually wrapped an arm around her waist and lifted, and she was in her arms.

Sweat became the bond gluing them together. On the vast bed, they were inseparable.

Shi Yu tilted her head up to look at her. Round, bright almond eyes rimmed with red, nose twitching with each breath, utterly adorable.

“Let me go. I’m so tired…”

Her voice was hoarse and barely above a whisper.

Jiang Qiuyan’s expression shifted at those words. She planted a hard kiss on the girl’s rosy cheeks, her tone carrying a hint of excitement.

“You make it sound like I’m bullying you. Isn’t this something we both enjoy?”

With that, she nuzzled Shi Yu’s ear with her nose to divert her attention and conceal her true objective.

By the time Shi Yu noticed, it was too late.

The alpha seemed to really love kissing. She wouldn’t let Shi Yu go until the girl had not only lost her voice but the feeling in her lips and tongue as well.

Those cherry lips turned a vivid red, like a ripe strawberry begging to be tasted. Jiang Qiuyan stared at them for a while, then silently looked away.

Any more kissing and the little kitten would cry.

She settled for second best and lowered her head to kiss somewhere else.

Shi Yu’s eyes flew wide, pupils constricting. She tremblingly tried to push the alpha’s head away, only to have her hands caught and pecked.

“What? Want to do it yourself?”

Shi Yu didn’t even have time to say no before that wretched alpha took her hands and started making mischief.

Shi Yu’s tears broke through the dam, and she cried with such aggrieved misery.

Hearing Shi Yu’s crying, the heat in Jiang Qiuyan’s brain receded and reason returned in part. She hastily pulled back and gathered the girl into her arms to comfort her.

“I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have ignored Baby Little Yu’s words. Stop crying, okay?”

Shi Yu’s emotions came and went quickly. With the alpha being this gentle, she held back her tears.

She thought it was strange that she was like this, not realizing that omegas were instinctively dependent on alphas, especially during heat.

Shi Yu knew the alpha’s gentleness would vanish soon. Once she lost her reason, she would become insatiable again. Yet she wasn’t afraid.

She looked at the alpha beside her. The alpha was looking at her too.

Just one look, and four lips met. The kiss deepened and grew fervent, other things following naturally.

Time seemed to crawl. No matter how long she waited, dawn wouldn’t come.

She was held in the alpha’s arms in a pose like holding a child during potty time. The alpha kissed and sucked at the gland on the back of her neck, itching to leave a bonding mark.

Shi Yu whimpered and dodged, which only earned her more relentless treatment.

Even though she didn’t understand this world well, she knew the gland couldn’t be casually touched, especially by an alpha.

An alpha could mark many omegas, but an omega could only be marked by one alpha. Once marked, her life would be over.

Jiang Qiuyan watched the little omega dodge about and couldn’t help but laugh.

So cute. I want to take her home and raise her. She’d get along wonderfully with the cats at home.

The alpha was lost in heat, devoid of any reason, driven only by greedy possessiveness. In this moment, she didn’t care about the omega’s identity or intentions. All she knew was that this omega was hers.

She planted a kiss on the back of Shi Yu’s neck and kneaded the soft, doughy belly like she was playing with a cat.

Shi Yu curled deeper into her arms, winding into a tiny ball of cotton candy. She hummed unconsciously, voicing her displeasure at the alpha’s relentless demands.

The alpha pecked at the tip of her ear, voice laced with amusement.

“Little Yu, did you forget what I just told you?”

Shi Yu’s head was dizzy. She turned and kissed her, voice syrupy sweet: “You said I should call you by your name too.”

Jiang Qiuyan chuckled and nuzzled the corner of her lips. All night, the omega hadn’t said her name once, and that bothered her slightly.

“Remember. My name is Jiang Qiuyan.”

This was the third time she’d said it.

Shi Yu’s consciousness was hazy. She echoed blankly: “Jiang… Yan?”

Jiang Qiuyan had no time to correct her, because seeing this adorably blank omega sent her spiraling into madness once more.

The rain grew heavier. Wind-driven droplets hammered against the windows. The air in the room turned even more humid and hot. The pheromones seemed to grow denser still.

Not A Stupid Beauty [Quick Transmigration]

才不是笨蛋美人[快穿], Definitely Not a Foolish Beauty [Quick Transmigration]
Status: Completed Native Language: Chinese

After dying in a car accident while saving someone, Shi Yu was caught in a temporal storm and became a cannon fodder side character in minor worlds.

World One: The Chaebol Heir's Canary

Shi Yu is an illegitimate daughter who can never see the light of day. Her mother treats her as a pawn to climb the social ladder, and her father uses her as a foil to highlight her elder sister.

Everyone in the Shi family can bully her.

At her sister's engagement banquet, she encounters the alpha who once used her to get through a heat period. She thinks, perhaps this is an opportunity.

That night, she knocks on Jiang Qiuyan's door.

World Two: River God's Bride

There's a long river beside Star River Village, home to the "River God" who protects the villagers.

One day, the river suddenly surges with massive waves, the murky waters threatening to swallow the village whole.

The ignorant villagers, believing the shaman's words, bind up the prettiest girl, Shi Yu, and force her into a wedding dress, sending her off on the bridal barge.

The slumbering giant dragon is awakened. Seeing the bright red wedding dress on Shi Yu, it speaks with contempt: "Bride?"

Later, a massive dragon tail coils around Shi Yu, and the noble divine dragon bows its head, murmuring again and again: "My bride."

World Three: The Big Shot's Plaything

Shi Yu becomes a ghost in a horror game with stunning looks but zero combat ability, serving primarily as decoration.

She hears that a certain player has off-the-charts combat power, fighting all the way from the first level to the last.

No sooner has she finished gossiping than that person stands right in front of her.

Shi Yu trembles and tugs at her sleeve, gazing up with a carefully crafted innocent and pitiful look.

"Don't kill me. As long as you don't kill me, I'll do anything."

Even in the dim light, her beauty can still bewitch anyone.

The big shot looks down at her with an amused gaze: "Really, *anything*?"

Shi Yu nods repeatedly.

The person's expression shifts, and she says in a low voice: "Then... warm my bed."
