Chapter 42: Reunion with a Powerful Enemy
Luo Yuxi walked briskly, pulling Xia along, but the dark Luo Yuxi followed closely behind, impossible to shake off, no matter how fast they walked.

Xia looked at Luo Yuxi, confused. She had been talking to an invisible person. Xia had scanned their surroundings, but there was no one there.

Luo Yuxi looked at the cliff before them. The forest below should have been a sea of green, but it was now filled with craters of varying sizes, forming small lakes.

Xia picked up Luo Yuxi and teleported to the forest below, landing before a massive crater. Luo Yuxi was shocked by the cleanly cut earth and the perfectly severed trees.

As Luo Yuxi examined the surroundings, she noticed a powerful holy aura emanating from the distance.

Xia tugged at Luo Yuxi’s clothes, her voice pleading. Luo Yuxi felt the ground tremble, realizing going to the Church’s main force was a bad idea.

As Luo Yuxi was thinking of how to bypass the army and enter the Witch Kingdom, a voice made her heart sink. She turned and saw a white-haired figure standing behind her. Xia was frozen in place.
“The Time Witch!!!”
“I tore you to shreds, scattering you across time, how are you still alive?”
Luo Yuxi’s mind went blank. This witch had already killed her once, why was she still here? A primal fear washed over her, and she collapsed.
“Strange, how can someone torn apart by time still be alive?”
“Don’t come any closer!”
Luo Yuxi was terrified. If she died again, whether she returned to the divine realm or her original world, neither outcome was desirable.
“What if I tear you apart again?”
The Time Witch approached, like a demon from hell. Luo Yuxi, forgetting all her plans, just wanted to reach the Church’s army.
“Why is this happening to me?! She already killed me, why is she still here?!”
Luo Yuxi ran towards the glowing barrier, fueled by adrenaline, forgetting about the immobilized Xia. She just had to reach that barrier.

As the smoke cleared, Luo Yuxi felt Doris’s familiar embrace and couldn’t hold back her tears. Doris’s usually vibrant silver hair now looked dull and lifeless.
