A girl ran through the dark forest, afraid of being caught by the monster chasing her. She hid behind a tree, covering her mouth, not daring to breathe, her survival instincts keeping her silent despite the chilling wind.

“Hey~ Sister, where are you? Are you playing hide-and-seek? I just wanted to ask, who was that girl in your room this morning~?”

A playful, sweet voice echoed through the forest, but to the girl, it sounded like a predator’s call. She froze, sweat dripping down her forehead.

“Sister, I know you’re here. Come out, don’t hide from me. I’m not going to kill you~”

The girl hiding behind the tree was Luo Yuxi, completely bewildered. Everything had been fine last night, but this morning, Ling Shuang had become incredibly possessive, accusing Luo Yuxi of betrayal and threatening to kill her.

“Sister, I see you~ Come out, I really won’t kill you~”

Hearing the footsteps fade away, Luo Yuxi finally relaxed, looking at the panel before her with a sigh. She hadn’t even had enough time to cuddle the little loli in her arms before being chased out by Ling Shuang.

Luo Yuxi grumbled, wanting to escape. If she was caught, she would be torn to shreds. She saw a familiar, small, blue figure in the distance, a 1.2-meter-long blade glinting in her hand.

“Better to be blown up by magic than hacked to death by a knife…”

Luo Yuxi muttered, trying to sneak away, but she stepped on a branch. The loud snap in the silent forest made her want to cry.

“Found~ you~”

Luo Yuxi turned stiffly and saw Ling Shuang, a sinister smile on her face, her eyes glowing red. With a single swing of her blade, she cleanly sliced a tree in half.

“No! Magic is prohibited! What’s with that monstrous strength?!”

Luo Yuxi ran, but the distance between them closed rapidly. Ling Shuang leaped, her blade embedding itself in a nearby rock.

“Sister, don’t run~ I just wanted to ask the name of the girl in your arms this morning, and maybe cut your Achilles tendon~”

“Only an idiot wouldn’t run!”

Luo Yuxi, terrified by the usually docile Ling Shuang’s transformation, scrambled to her feet and ran towards a distant light. Ling Shuang tried to follow, but her blade was stuck.

“Tsk…”

Luo Yuxi, after running a good distance, finally stopped, gasping for breath. She looked around at the desolate forest, the dark sky, the blood-red moon, and the cawing of crows. It was like a scene from a horror movie.

“This must be a dream, a dream. I have to wake up, wake up. Maybe I’ll wake up if I’m killed…”

Luo Yuxi looked at her hands, scratched and bruised from her fall. She saw a light in the distance.

“Maybe there’s something there that can help me…”

She dragged herself towards the light, reaching a dilapidated cabin. She glanced at the dark forest behind her, then knocked on the door, taking a few steps back in case she needed to run.

“Is someone there…?”

The door opened, revealing a familiar figure in silver and gold-trimmed bishop’s robes. Luo Yuxi was relieved, remembering the panel’s message about receiving help from Church personnel. This person would surely help her escape, or at least hide.

“I need some help, I’m being chased, please, anything, just let me hide inside for a while~!”

“Really? That’s terrible, come in, I’ll protect you…”

Luo Yuxi entered, relieved, looking at the cozy interior, the soft bed, the warm fireplace. She relaxed.

“Thank you so much, I’m so glad I found you!”

“It’s okay, come in.”

Luo Yuxi hadn’t noticed before, but as she approached, she recognized the voice. It was strangely familiar. She turned and saw Ann, the Seat of Justice.

BAM!!!

Realizing who it was, Luo Yuxi ducked just as a hammer slammed into the wall above her head.

“Really, Master, I love you so much, and you betrayed me? I’m so sad, so sad, so sad~”

Luo Yuxi looked at Ann, biting her finger, a yandere blush on her face, and realized how accurate the rules about “all witches you’ve interacted with” were.

“I don’t need your help, get away from me!”

Luo Yuxi kicked Ann, who fell back, but her hammer hit Luo Yuxi’s leg, a sharp pain shooting through her. She stumbled and fell.

“My leg! My leg! Ah!”

“Really, Master, why are you running? You haven’t touched me in so long. I won’t let you have anyone else, you’re mine alone~”

Ann stood up, her hammer raised. Seeing Luo Yuxi try to crawl away, she struck again, and Luo Yuxi’s other leg went numb.

“Aaaah!!! It hurts! It hurts so much!”

“I told you not to run, why don’t you listen, Master? You’re not cute at all~”

A metal collar was placed around Luo Yuxi’s neck. Ann pulled on the chain attached to it, dragging her towards the cabin. Luo Yuxi struggled, but it was useless.

“No, no, don’t go in there, let me go, it hurts!”

Ann, ignoring her pleas, dragged her inside. Even as the door closed, Luo Yuxi’s struggles continued, then faded.

Ling Shuang, dragging her blade, walked past. Luo Yuxi held her breath, not daring to move, even as the blade grazed the tree bark.

Ling Shuang disappeared into the forest, her blade glinting in the moonlight. Luo Yuxi cautiously peeked out.
