125. Stop! I Forbid You from Wiggling!
The next day, just as dawn broke.
Ruo Xiaoxi was watering Little Radish at the doorstep.
Little Radish had moved a small wooden stool to the cottage door. Her two small hands rested obediently on her lap, sitting upright, waiting for Ruo Xiaoxi to water her.
Ruo Xiaoxi, half-understanding, held up the watering can, standing still.
“So… I just pour it down like this? Give you a shower?”
“Mmm-hmm, remember to start pouring from the top of my head.”
“L-like this?” Ruo Xiaoxi held the watering can, tentatively pouring the water from it gently over Little Radish’s head.
The little flower on her head seemed to sway happily, looking like a girl dancing and wiggling her waist on a cool, rainy day.
Little Radish also looked very comfortable, even humming a tune happily, her two small feet lightly tapping the ground to the rhythm, like a naive and romantic child.
Does just watering her make her this happy?
Ruo Xiaoxi thought as she held the watering can. This radish spirit is truly excessive! Not only does she need to eat, but she needs someone to water her, and she has to sit outside the cottage to sunbathe a little in the morning.
But what was also amazing was that the water, after being poured, slowly flowed down Little Radish’s body from her head, and was gradually absorbed by her skin.
After being watered, the little flower on her head bloomed even more vividly, and her smile became even sweeter.
“Thank you! Cythia usually doesn’t have much patience to water me.”
Is this what a real plant-type girl is like? Do I really have to water you with a watering can? By the way, wouldn’t it be easier to just take a bath and absorb the water that way?
“No, it won’t work. Water absorption needs to be gradual, and when I shower, I can never get the little flower on my head to absorb water well.” Little Radish pointed to the top of her head.
Ruo Xiaoxi looked at Little Radish and had to admit that this loli with a little flower blooming on her head was a bit cute.
After watering Little Radish in the yard, Cythia also walked out of the cottage, still dressed in yesterday’s high-cut denim leather shorts, though this time she seemed to have some short-bladed knives at her waist.
“Ready? Then let’s go.” Cythia tightened her belt. Her healthy and toned long, fair legs looked exceptionally plump and dazzling in the sunlight. She walked with light steps towards the back of the yard.
Behind the yard, a military-green off-road vehicle was hidden by a pile of weeds. Today, they were going to search for supplies in the ruined city’s supermarkets, and they needed to transport them, so they would drive.
It was quite difficult to find a working vehicle in this ruined city.
“Let’s go. Cythia is taking us to the ruined city. We need to stay alert and constantly watch our surroundings, otherwise, we can easily be ambushed by the Beyond Beasts wandering in the city.”
“Okay…” Ruo Xiaoxi nodded, following behind Cythia with Little Radish.
She also thought she should bring some weapons to arm herself, but after searching, she couldn’t find anything useful. She still carried the camera in her arms and got into the car with them.
Cythia sat in the front passenger seat of the off-road vehicle. Ruo Xiaoxi and Little Radish sat together in the back.
Little Radish also reminded them to close the car windows tightly, as the road might be bumpy later.
The sunlight only lingered on the ground for a short while, then was quickly obscured by large clouds and thick fog. Ruo Xiaoxi looked up at the still hazy and dim sky, getting into the car returning to the ruined city.
Along the way, watching the rapidly passing scenery outside the window, she felt a sense of desolation.
And this desolation seemed to suffocate people, stifling all life. The road was dilapidated, and the ride was extremely bumpy.
The weeds by the roadside were withered and yellow, like a Gobi Desert, with nothing but dust as far as the eye could see.
Many abandoned things were piled together. Some tattered fabrics were scattered everywhere. Illegible billboards lay smashed on the ground, run over by speeding vehicles.
This place might have once had bustling streets and a vibrant city, but now, due to war and enemy invasion, it had returned to its original desolation.
Listening to Little Radish talk along the way, she said that on the other side of the ruined city, there was an ocean. At night, one could hear the waves crashing against the shore and the sound of splashing water, but it was very far from here.
This made Ruo Xiaoxi feel a slight longing. Perhaps, at least, she could still see the shimmering ocean under the moonlight?
“We’re about to enter the ruined city. You should all have your seatbelts fastened, right?” Cythia, sitting in the front driver’s seat, warned the two girls in the back.
There was only one seatbelt in the back that went across the waist. The others were broken, but it was barely enough.
From a high vantage point in the sky, an off-road vehicle sped along a straight road, getting closer and closer to a city of tall, uninhabited buildings. Its speed suddenly increased, leaving a trail of rolling dust in its wake.
Cythia floored the accelerator, reaching 150 km/h. The vehicle shot up a makeshift ramp, soaring through a large hole in the high wall and into the city.
“Ahhh!” Ruo Xiaoxi and Little Radish clutched each other’s hands to brace for the violent bumps.
Following the marks made on the map last night, Cythia sped through the city, taking sharp turns in this city without traffic lights. When they encountered beasts on the road, they simply crashed into and ran over them.
Outside the car, the large bodies of wild dogs thumped as they flew by, all crashing hard behind the off-road vehicle.
This continued until they turned off the main street into a different section, and things gradually calmed down.
“So… so exciting… I feel like I’m on a roller coaster.” Ruo Xiaoxi was still a bit shaken.
“Right? So you need to keep the windows closed and be more alert…” Little Radish seemed accustomed to it, but as she spoke, her gaze suddenly landed on something strange.
The bumps and shakes inside the car made Ruo Xiaoxi’s body continuously jiggle.
Little Radish thought, When did the car get such a pair of big white balls? Bouncing up and down, swaying left and right… It’s so annoying to watch!
“Darn it, stop! I forbid you from wiggling anymore! My eyes are getting blurry!” Little Radish put her hands on Ruo Xiaoxi’s heaving chest, striking her again!
Ruo Xiaoxi froze slightly. She looked down at herself, then at Little Radish’s indignant face.
Hmm…? Oh, that’s what she’s talking about. It’s not like I want to wiggle.
And what are you doing?! You were pulled out of the ground! What makes you think you’re so great? If you were any bigger, you’d be stuck!
Just because you don’t have them, does that mean others aren’t allowed to have a big pair?
Hmph hmph~ Darn it, this feels so good. Seeing Little Radish’s envious and jealous expression, I inexplicably feel a sense of superiority, like a woman who has completely won in a comparison.
“I think you’re just jealous… Ow, that hurts! Let go of me! Little Radish, you’re not playing fair!”
“Alright, alright, no more talk about big or small. We’re here. Get out of the car.” Cythia, ignoring the girls’ squabble in the back, stepped on the brakes with an indifferent expression. The vehicle stopped in front of an abandoned supermarket.
