Chapter 30: Trigger
“Sister…”
Su Yu suddenly woke up from his dream. The smooth and cold fabric was soaked with sweat and was clinging to his curled-up back. He let out a few breaths of the turbid air that had accumulated in his chest. In the silent darkness, he could even clearly hear his own breathing.
“Why?”
His pale and chapped lips parted, and a few dazed murmurs escaped. The sound waves hit the wall not far away and then slowly bounced back, as if an echo were lingering in his ear.
It was another desolate and silent darkness, but he could barely hear a single sound. He was sure that this was not that old and cold, abandoned warehouse. He could even feel a faint airflow brushing against his cheek, maintaining a suitable temperature in the enclosed space.
A basement, and it might even be very spacious. How much effort and money would it take to build such a place? The huge conspiracy had turned into a ferocious monster in the darkness, tightly binding his desire to escape.
His heart sank, as if a huge stone were pressing on him, making it hard for him to breathe. How could he escape from such a completely enclosed basement? Unless the owner of this place was willing to… let him go.
The memory before he had fallen into darkness had last stopped at the gentle and soft smile on the woman’s lips. It had even made him naively think that this would be the end of this nightmare that had almost made him collapse.
He shook off those useless fantasies and tried to twist his body. His arms were bound behind him with a strong and soft rope. Under him seemed to be a soft and fluffy sofa cushion. He couldn’t find a single point of support for his entire body and could only lie on his side on the sofa. His cheek was pressed against the cushion for a long time, and saliva was uncontrollably flowing out, creating a small puddle of liquid.
A small flame suddenly ignited in Su Yu’s heart. His legs were actually not bound by a rope. The other party seemed to have thought that he would not wake up from the sedative effect of the drug so quickly, and even the binding was done hastily.
He tried to shake his body, trying to find a point of support with his feet on the ground. But he had still overestimated this body, which was still under the effect of the drug. His blind struggle accidentally made the sofa cushion under him slide away. He lost his balance, and his entire body fell from the sofa, hitting the cold floor hard. The flesh and blood and the white porcelain tiles collided, and a dull echo resounded in the darkness of the secret room.
Fortunately, the sofa was not high. He just grunted in pain and continued to struggle to get up from the ground. His arms, which were behind his back, grabbed the sofa to maintain his balance. He carefully adjusted his angle and struggled to stand up from the ground with the support of the sofa behind him.
Any turn of events in the darkness of despair was enough to make one go crazy with excitement. But that joy only lasted for a few seconds. The sound of footsteps above was like a heavy hammer, striking hard against his frail, battered heart.
The footsteps were light and cheerful, with a crisp sound, like the sound of thin-soled high heels hitting the ground. It should be a slender woman. This physical condition almost completely overlapped with the face with the gentle smile in his memory.
He tried his best to stay calm and carefully approached the place where the footsteps were coming from above. The sound was getting closer and closer, and it slowly descended from above, and finally it was almost at the same height as him. He hid in the darkness, and his rapid breathing was a little harsh in the quiet environment.
The footsteps suddenly stopped when they were closest to him. It vaguely gave him the illusion that he was only separated from the other party by a wall. The heart in his chest was hitting his ribs with pain. He held his breath, not daring to leave a single trace that he had already woken up.
The footsteps seemed to have stopped for too long. Su Yu frowned tightly. His wet and sticky long hair fell down, and it was a little prickly to his eyes. He endured the various discomforts of this weak body, like a terminally ill lion, lying in wait in the dark, just to make one last fierce attack.
The air in the tense atmosphere was fermenting and becoming more and more viscous. The silence stopped for a few more seconds, and the click of the mechanism in the lock suddenly sounded.
The door hinge turned slightly, and a dim, warm yellow light seeped in along the gradually widening gap. The darkness, which had been tormenting his spirit, shrieked and retreated to a corner. Strength was slowly accumulating in his muscles, and the suffocating feeling of holding his breath for too long made Su Yu feel a little dizzy.
“Thud!”
He vaguely saw a delicate and small ankle in a narrow-soled high heel elegantly landing on the white porcelain tiled floor in the dim yellow light. He held his breath, and his strength suddenly erupted at that moment. He used his shoulder to hit the woman who had just walked into the room.
The familiar neroli fragrance lingered at the tip of his nose, which almost confirmed his guess. The rich and fragrant scent still disturbed his mind. At the last moment, he held back a little of his strength, naively thinking that this would be enough to knock the unprepared woman down hard.
He lowered his neck. It was a desperate struggle with no way out. He had almost thought that his attack was foolproof, but in the woman’s eyes, it was just a ridiculous and futile resistance, like a mischievous little beast that hated the shackles of a cage. Even if it was covered in scars, it would still whimper with a pitiful whimper.
Gu Zhi’s lips curled up, and a very alluring bright red bloomed in the darkness. Her palm accurately rested on the boy’s shoulder, and the beautiful muscle curve on her forearm, which was hidden under her loose sleeve, was tensed.
Her movements had a few systematically learned fighting techniques. She slightly shifted her body and easily deflected the other party’s seemingly strong force. The next moment, she suddenly locked the boy in her arms, held his wrist, and her slender calf suddenly bent, and she kicked the boy’s knee.
That moment was so fast that the pain had not yet reached his nerves from the periphery. Gu Zhi suddenly let go, and the little guy in her arms lost his support and fell at her feet, groaning in pain.
Gu Zhi slowly squatted down in the boy’s terrified eyes. The corners of her lips were always curved into a gentle and soft smile, as if the violent means just now were just an illusion.
She reached out and lifted Su Yu’s chin, her fingertips lovingly caressing his cheek. “So naughty… I’m not satisfied with your expression.”
Gu Zhi chuckled, her voice without a hint of blame. Whether it was in the old warehouse or in this secluded basement, the boy’s every action that had overstepped the bounds of a pet’s instinct had not provoked her anger.
She was so happy. If it wasn’t for the fact that it was contrary to the calm and composed demeanor a master should have, she was so excited that she wanted to roll on the ground.
She had naively thought that breaking the original relationship of brother and sister might make her sad, but she found that she was wrong. This kind of forceful possession could also bring her an unparalleled sense of happiness.
Everything about the other party belonged to her, from every strand of hair to every pore, from body to soul, all of it was her possession. She would bind these things with a few ropes, and from then on, she would firmly control the other party’s thoughts.
Gu Zhi, on the one hand, pityingly caressed the boy’s furrowed eyebrows from the pain, and on the other hand, she couldn’t help but laugh out loud from excitement. A certain indescribable desire was growing wildly in her heart.
“So pitiful… I feel so sorry for you. Don’t cry, okay?”
She held the numb and dazed boy in her arms, her sharp teeth resting on the back of his neck. Her wet and sticky tongue gently licked his fair skin, leaving a trail of ambiguous and charming water marks.
“Be good. From now on… just look at your master.”
The hunter had finally pulled the trigger, delivering a fatal blow to the prey.
