Chapter 17: Dinner
=====================
“They say they want to have your babies.”
Hearing this, a series of question marks popped up in Bei Queting’s head. Then she saw He Jingsu take out her phone and open the school forum, showing her the squeals of excitement.
Bei Queting was speechless.
She found it rather amusing. “They’re just joking.”
“Of course, I know they’re joking,” He Jingsu huffed. If they weren’t, she would have to go and lecture them. At such a young age, what were they thinking!
Her Beibei would never have babies with anyone else!
While the two were chatting happily, Li Ao and his friends walked into the classroom with dark faces. Seeing the two of them, especially Bei Queting, Li Ao gritted his teeth and said with a gloomy look, “You’re ruthless. Just you wait.”
She had directly called the dean to take them out. And what was the result? A phone call straight to their parents, with no chance for them to explain.
“Who are you telling to wait!” He Jingsu stood in front of Bei Queting, looking at the dark, thin boy with a scrunched-up face. “Aren’t you the one who stopped us this morning?”
Hearing her words, Li Ao almost coughed up blood. So after all that this morning, she still didn’t remember him clearly?
Bei Queting tugged He Jingsu to her side, then looked up at the boy, her voice calm. “If you want to make me look bad, you’d better be prepared to pay the price yourself.”
Her tone was light and calm, but her words made everyone frown, wondering what other tricks she had up her sleeve.
He Jingsu stood by Bei Queting’s side, watching her cold attitude toward others, her eyes sparkling like they were filled with stars, looking even more like a fangirl.
Li Ao’s face turned as black as the bottom of a pot. He then looked at He Jingsu, who hadn’t even spared him another glance, and almost gritted his teeth to pieces.
“Hmph, don’t be too arrogant!” Li Ao snorted, walking past them back to his seat. However, he obediently refrained from any more flippant actions like leaning back in his chair.
The moment he left, He Jingsu paid him even less attention. She looked at Bei Queting and said, “That’s how you should treat them!”
With a cold and distant attitude, naturally, few people would dare to cling to Beibei.
Bei Queting couldn’t help but laugh. She ruffled her little face and said softly, “It’s almost time. You should go back to your classroom.”
He Jingsu looked at the time and, sure enough, nodded. “I told Mom I’d be home for dinner this afternoon. Wait for me here, okay?”
“Okay~” Bei Queting drew out her reply, her eyes full of mirth. This little panda cub must be craving food again.
In the afternoon, Bei Queting kept her promise and waited for He Jingsu in the classroom. The person she was waiting for arrived, but there was something unexpected.
It was normal for Qiu Si to be there, but who was the Hai Yuesheng with her? She looked at He Jingsu.
He Jingsu looked a little huffy. Meeting Bei Queting’s questioning gaze, she said indignantly, “She shamelessly refused to leave!”
Hearing her words, Hai Yuesheng giggled. “I’ve always heard that Junior He’s mom is a great cook. I thought this was the perfect opportunity.” As she spoke, she draped her arm over Qiu Si’s shoulder, as if to say, Don’t even think about leaving me behind.
Bei Queting was speechless.
A question popped into her mind. She was starting to doubt whether Hai Yuesheng was really interested in Qiu Si. How could she be so calm in front of Qiu Si’s elders?
Wait… Aunt Jing and Qiu Si were of the same generation, so she wasn’t an elder…
Bei Queting chuckled. “Since you’re all here, let’s go.”
By this time, everyone else in the classroom had left. The four of them went to a bathroom with no surveillance cameras and teleported straight home.
Upon arriving, Qiu Si let go of Hai Yuesheng’s hand. If she hadn’t been holding her, Hai Yuesheng would have been blocked by the barrier He Ying had set up.
Jing Dan, carrying a plate of food out of the kitchen, saw the four girls suddenly appear. Her expression didn’t change. She put down the dish and said, “Wash your hands. Dinner will be ready soon.”
The four girls lined up to wash their hands in the bathroom. When they came out, the table was already filled with food, and the two tall, beautiful women were still setting out the bowls and chopsticks.
“Mom, Mommy / Aunt He, Aunt Jing / Big Sister, Sister-in-law / Mama He, Mommy He.” The four of them spoke, managing to come up with four different forms of address.
Jing Dan and He Ying’s expressions didn’t change, as if they were used to it. “Have a seat,” they said.
At the rectangular dining table, the adults and the minors ended up sitting with two on one side and four on the other.
Seeing this, He Ying found it rather amusing. She looked at Hai Yuesheng with a gentle gaze and said softly, “You must be Junior Hai, right? It’s your first time here, but please don’t be formal. We’re not strict.”
With that, she winked, signaling her to relax.
In her gentle, smiling voice, Hai Yuesheng’s initially tense body gradually relaxed. Looking at the two faces that were almost unchanged from the variety show, she was screaming internally.
As expected of people called divine beauties! Seeing them in person, this close, they’re flawlessly beautiful!
“Mhm, mhm, I hope Mama He and Mommy He don’t mind my sudden visit,” Hai Yuesheng said, trying to appear calm. But as a young, underage demon, in the eyes of an expert like He Ying, her nervousness and awkwardness were plain to see.
“Since you’re Si Si’s friend, you can come over more often in the future. You’ll get used to it,” He Ying said with a light laugh, her gaze subtly shifting between her and Qiu Si, a thoughtful look in her eyes.
“Mhm, mhm, I just hope you don’t mind me coming over too often,” Hai Yuesheng said with a sheepish smile.
Qiu Si saw her suddenly obedient demeanor and smiled.
“He Ying, I want to eat that.” Jing Dan interrupted them just in time. She pointed to the plate of hairy crabs on the table, her gaze fixed.
Seeing her like this, He Ying couldn’t help but laugh. “Alright, I’ll peel it for you.”
This one was a glutton, but she always found things that needed to be peeled troublesome.
Jing Dan was satisfied and started to put He Ying’s favorite dishes on her plate.
Their natural interaction made Hai Yuesheng relax even more. Then she looked at the other three, who were all focused on eating, and wrinkled her nose in confusion. Is it really that good?
She also took a bite of a dish. It looked like a very ordinary home-cooked meal, but the flavor made her eyes light up, and her movements quickened.
Ooh, how did they make it? They managed to bring out and blend the flavors of every ingredient so well!
He Jingsu completely ignored what they were saying, eating the food in her bowl while her eyes were fixed on the dishes she wanted to eat.
Suddenly, a pair of chopsticks appeared next to the piece of meat in the dish she was staring at, and right before her eyes, the meat was taken away.
He Jingsu was speechless.
