Chapter 18: Lying, Huh~ Part 2

Mu Shanyi took a bottle of water from the minibar and walked unhurriedly to the sofa at the foot of the bed, sitting down and casually placing the bottle on the side table.

Miao Zhu heard her use that tone again. “Can you sit on my lap?”

Sure, sure, anything was fine. There was no need for coyness between them anymore.

Miao Zhu lifted her skirt hem, knelt one knee on the sofa, placed her hands on Mu Shanyi’s shoulders, parted her legs, and obediently sat down.

Mu Shanyi leaned back, her shoulders and the back of her head resting against the sofa backrest, her chin tilted up slightly. She raised her hand to stroke Miao Zhu’s cheek, sliding into her hair roots along the skin. Her warm palm cupped Miao Zhu’s ear, rubbing it slowly.

Under the light, Miao Zhu hovered above Mu Shanyi’s line of sight, her chest rising and falling, red lips slightly parted, eyes closed as she trembled faintly.

Her ears were very sensitive.

From this Angel, Mu Shanyi could see every expression on Miao Zhu’s face. She watched lazily for a moment before her fingers slid to Miao Zhu’s nape, tracing down her spine and lifting the skirt hem.

This was an intimate position, one that allowed Mu Shanyi to take even more control.

“Lying, huh?” Mu Shanyi chuckled softly. “Xingran doesn’t know you’re on your period?”

Miao Zhu had no energy to discuss how well Sheng Xingran knew her at a time like this. She lowered her head and took the initiative to kiss Mu Shanyi. Mu Shanyi let her, responding with intermittent kisses.

Her lips moved to Mu Shanyi’s neck. Perhaps due to the alcohol, Mu Shanyi’s body temperature was higher than before, her breathing heavier too.

She tugged open Mu Shanyi’s collar, brushing light kisses against the skin.

Mu Shanyi tilted her neck, offering more access. She wasn’t in a rush for anything to happen. Her hand even withdrew from under Miao Zhu’s skirt first, interlacing fingers with hers, then playing with them.

“Your left and right hands are different.” Her tone was languid. “The fingertips on your left have calluses? A bit harder than your right.”

“Mm~” Mu Shanyi smelled so good. Miao Zhu inhaled the fragrance wafting from her neck. Though tonight’s Mu Shanyi wasn’t fully focused, Miao Zhu rather enjoyed this close, chatting intimacy.

“Because of the cello?” Mu Shanyi pulled Miao Zhu’s left hand to her lips and kissed the fingertips.

Miao Zhu: “Mm.”

Mu Shanyi: “Did you cry sometimes as a kid practicing the cello?”

They both recalled that afternoon years ago—Miao Zhu, after class, standing on the street corner with her instrument case on her back, tears streaming down.

Miao Zhu straightened up, looked at Mu Shanyi, hesitated, and nodded slightly before quietly correcting in a small voice, “Often.”

She cried often.

The long, repetitive daily practices were tedious. Her fingers hurt from the strings, her shoulders ached from the case weight. The teacher was strict, her mom always sternly scolding her… and she had to perform for different people.

Mu Shanyi: “Do you like the cello then?”

“…I guess so.” Miao Zhu felt a bit dazed. It seemed no one had ever asked her that. It had been so long; the cello had become an integral part of her, the source of her confidence and glory. Everyone naturally equated her with it.

“What else do you like?” Mu Shanyi leaned closer.

Miao Zhu’s thoughts followed her lead, shaking her head slightly.

Mu Shanyi: “Do you like me kissing you?”

Miao Zhu’s face flushed hot as if on fire. Mu Shanyi’s casual, meandering tone could still make her tingle all over. …It was ridiculous.

Mu Shanyi had her answer.

She lightly sucked on Miao Zhu’s plump, rosy lips—they had a full shape perfect for kissing. When Miao Zhu parted her lips, she slipped her tongue inside.

The situation shifted back under Mu Shanyi’s control.

Tip of tongue met tip of tongue, oxygen depleted in the uninterrupted deep kiss. Miao Zhu loved this kiss; it wasn’t overly intense, just tender. She was kissed until she lost all strength, softly collapsing into Mu Shanyi’s arms. Her mind felt like the tide was rising, waves surging through her limbs.

Lost in the heated kiss, they had no sense of time. The tingling sensation lasted who knew how long before Mu Shanyi turned her face away, pausing the kiss.

She picked up the water bottle from the side table, twisted off the cap, took a sip, and passed some to Miao Zhu.

The cool, sweet liquid flowed down Miao Zhu’s kiss-dried throat.

Mu Shanyi: “Want more?”

“Mm~” Miao Zhu hummed softly.

Mu Shanyi handed her the bottle.

Miao Zhu tilted her neck back to take small sips. Her neck was slender and graceful, flushed red, the thin skin revealing the subtle movement of soft cartilage beneath. Strands of hair stuck to her skin, damp with sweat.

Mu Shanyi’s palm pressed against it. Miao Zhu trembled, swallowing faltered, and water overflowed from the corner of her lips, dripping onto the back of Mu Shanyi’s hand.

Miao Zhu finished the water and set the bottle down.

Mu Shanyi’s fingertip glided slowly across her warm, moist lips from left to right, wiping away the traces.

“Want to take a shower?”
