The clear sound of mountain streams crashing against rocks.
A race car losing traction on a rain-slicked track…
Xiong Yibai turned off the showerhead and wrapped Feng Miwan in a bath towel, wiping the water droplets from her body.
Feng Miwan leaned into her embrace and mumbled,
“…Next time, I’m definitely winning it back.”
Xiong Yibai dried her back and replied upon hearing this,
“Mm, I’ll be waiting.”
After helping Feng Miwan get dressed, Feng Miwan flopped straight onto the bed, sinking into the covers and closing her eyes, not wanting to move a muscle.
Xiong Yibai tidied herself up, and when she turned back, she saw a lump on the bed—that person still had damp hair.
She picked up the hairdryer and walked to the bedside.
“Little Honey, be good and get up, okay? Let’s dry your hair before sleeping.” Xiong Yibai gently nudged her.
“Don’t wanna…”
Feng Miwan buried her face in the pillow.
“So sleepy… I’ll dry it tomorrow…”
Xiong Yibai: “No, sleeping with wet hair will give you a headache tomorrow.”
“Mm… Just this once…”
Feng Miwan shrank further into the covers.
Xiong Yibai had no choice but to set down the hairdryer. She leaned over, sliding one hand under Feng Miwan’s neck and scooping up the back of her knees with the other, fishing her out from the blankets.
Then she sat at the head of the bed herself, letting Feng Miwan lie sideways on her lap.
“Huh?”
The sudden weightlessness made Feng Miwan open her eyes, only to find herself relocated, her head pillowed on Xiong Yibai’s thigh.
Her first thought was:
So soft…
So fragrant…
Can I stay like this until I die…
She was sinking into this gentle paradise when the sound of the hairdryer buzzed in her ear. Xiong Yibai’s fingers threaded through her hair strands.
The warm air and tender touch were too comfortable. The bit of alertness Feng Miwan had just mustered was swiftly drowned by sleepiness again.
She closed her eyes, about to drift off.
Halfway through drying, Feng Miwan suddenly opened her eyes and demanded in a soft, sticky voice,
“Yibai, kiss.”
Xiong Yibai looked down at the lover on her lap, bent over, and planted a light kiss on her lips, pulling away immediately.
“There, now be good and don’t move. It’ll be dry soon.”
Satisfied with the kiss, Feng Miwan closed her eyes again, truly falling asleep this time.
After finishing the hair, Xiong Yibai lifted Feng Miwan’s head, shifted her back onto the pillow, and tucked her in.
Only then did she grab the hairdryer to quickly dry her own long hair, turn off the main light, lift the covers, and lie down to sleep deeply.
The next morning.
Xiong Yibai woke up without fully opening her eyes, already feeling herself tightly entangled.
Feng Miwan was practically draped over her entirely, arms hugging tight, legs pinning her down.
Xiong Yibai didn’t rush to get up. She lifted her head to glance at the electronic clock on the nightstand.
This movement woke Feng Miwan. She slowly opened her eyes and looked at Xiong Yibai:
“What time is it?”
“Eight.”
“Eight…”
Feng Miwan’s brain seemed to still be booting up. She blinked and asked,
“You’re on afternoon shift today, right?”
Xiong Yibai patiently answered, “It’s Saturday today.”
“Oh…”
Feng Miwan buried her face back into the crook of her shoulder and mumbled,
“You’re off then… That’s fine, let’s keep sleeping.”
Xiong Yibai was amused by her righteous bed-lounging demeanor and reached out to gently pinch her cheek:
“I’m off, but Little Honey, don’t you have training?”
“Mm…”
Feng Miwan responded sluggishly,
“Right now… still a bit weak… I’ll go in the afternoon.”
She fumbled around the pillow for a while before finally grabbing her phone.
“I’ll tell my brother…”
Not long after sending the message, her phone dinged.
Feng Miwan squinted at it, then turned the screen toward Xiong Yibai:
“See, he agreed.”
With that settled, she tossed the phone onto the nightstand and snuggled back into Xiong Yibai’s arms:
“All good… Sleep…”
Xiong Yibai watched this series of operations, finding it both funny and helpless.
She had planned to get up for breakfast or read a book, but looking at the clingy little puppy in her arms, her heart softened.
“Fine, I’ll sleep with you a bit longer.”
The room fell quiet again, but the peace didn’t last long.
Xiong Yibai felt the hand on her waist starting to get restless.
At first, it just lightly traced over the fabric of her sleepwear. Xiong Yibai kept her eyes closed, ignoring it.
After a while, that hand began to roam slowly over her side waist and abdomen.
Xiong Yibai still didn’t move, curious to see what she was up to.
Receiving what felt like tacit permission, Feng Miwan grew bolder.
Her hand slipped under the hem of the sleepwear, directly touching the skin of Xiong Yibai’s abdomen.
Xiong Yibai finally couldn’t hold back and asked, “Didn’t you say we were sleeping? What’s your hand doing?”
Feng Miwan’s mischievous hand paused.
“Just touching… Just a little touch…”
Xiong Yibai didn’t respond, which counted as permission. As long as it didn’t go too far, she let her be.
The hand started off proper enough, lingering around the waist and abdomen.
But the boundaries of probing always expanded inch by inch.
Gradually, that hand ventured upward, finally climbing to that soft peak.
Xiong Yibai’s arm around her tightened slightly, her breathing hitching.
She was about to push this overreaching troublemaker away a bit when Feng Miwan lifted her face and whispered in her ear:
“Sister… Kiss.”
This “sister” utterly disarmed Xiong Yibai; she had no resistance against Feng Miwan at all.
So she lowered her head and leaned in.
The kiss started gentle, but soon Xiong Yibai realized today’s rhythm felt off.
Usually, she took the lead in kisses, but this time, Feng Miwan was exceptionally proactive.
Not only did she respond enthusiastically, she even turned the tables, deepening the kiss.
At the same time, the hand that had paused on the peak resumed its movements, no longer content with mere coverage.
The kiss and the hand’s actions synced perfectly, with Feng Miwan fully seizing control.
