Chapter 43: Dog and Master

Jiang Ci blinked her eyes, thinking that the nets at Miaoqu Pavilion weren’t even fully set yet, so how had this person found her already. She asked, “Are you here looking for me?”

Cui Wangshu glanced faintly at Jiang Ci, her gaze saying plainly, What do you think?

Jiang Ci: “……” I’m done with you. Just say no if it’s no—what’s with that look?

Cui Wangshu said, “Yunyu Fang is one of the venues for the Myriad Nations Conference. I have to come inspect it.”

Jiang Ci’s mind seemed to short-circuit for a moment. With clear eyes, she asked, “Something this minor requires you to come personally? Didn’t Li Cong assign you any staff?”

Cui Wangshu’s brow twitched. She sighed and looked at Jiang Ci helplessly. “If Li Cong’s people are following me, how can I find her?”

Jiang Ci was choked speechless. She hadn’t expected Cui Wangshu to have “fallen” this far. After a long pause, she finally squeezed out, “Will you die if you don’t pull that ‘the ruler skips morning court’ routine?”

Cui Wangshu’s lips curved slightly. She raised a brow. “I’m not discussing this with someone who has no nightlife.”

Jiang Ci: “!!!” Is she sick!??

Fuming, Jiang Ci pointed toward the door and cursed, “Out, out, out! My little temple can’t accommodate a big Buddha like you. I have things to do—don’t waste my time here.”

This person is such a jerk!

Cui Wangshu was chased out by Jiang Ci once again. This time, there was no shock on her face like the first time. Instead, she felt a familiar ease, like returning home. She brushed off her sleeves and continued her inspection.

The next day at noon.

Cui Wangshu sat in the study, writing something on a sheet of paper while waiting for Jiang Chenbi.

That morning, she had sent an invitation for Miss Qian of Yellow Path Palace to visit her residence. By now, the guest should have arrived.

A maid entered from outside the study.

“Minister, Miss Qian of Yellow Path Palace has arrived,” the announcing maid said respectfully.

Cui Wangshu looked up. “Bring her to the study.”

“Yes.”

Cui Wangshu lowered her gaze and continued organizing. Soon, the maid brought Jiang Chenbi in.

Once the guest arrived, the maid left, as the Minister had specifically instructed that no one was needed to serve.

Jiang Chenbi leaned against the doorframe, staring at Cui Wangshu. She wore a veil, revealing only her smiling, narrowed eyes.

Cui Wangshu looked at Jiang Chenbi and said, “Have a seat first. I’ll be done soon.”

The corners of Jiang Chenbi’s lips curved upward beneath her veil. “Sure, then I’ll wait for Minister Cui to finish her official duties.”

Though her words were agreeable, Cui Wangshu felt that her tone didn’t sound like she intended to behave.

Under Cui Wangshu’s watchful eye, Jiang Chenbi sat obediently on the soft couch, stirring the black pieces in the chess box with a clattering sound. Cui Wangshu’s brow twitched, and she shook her head.

Jiang Chenbi removed her veil, propped her chin on her hand, and stared fixedly at Cui Wangshu.

Today, Cui Wangshu wore a black casual robe, its collar embroidered with gold thread. She bent over her work, her back straight, her expression serious—distant and untouchable.

Jiang Chenbi narrowed her eyes. But what she loved most was pulling the ever-proper Minister Cui down from her pedestal.

To see her hair disheveled, desire clouding her eyes.

Jiang Chenbi quietly approached Cui Wangshu’s side and glanced at the desk. It was preparations for the Myriad Nations Conference. She curved her lips, leaned down to wrap her arms around Cui Wangshu’s neck, and draped herself over her back.

Cui Wangshu’s pen paused. In a low voice, she said, “Have you considered the consequences of teasing me, Miss Jiang?”

Anyone else might have stopped there, but Jiang Chenbi was no ordinary person.

Her palm slid downward, stopping at Cui Wangshu’s chest. Breathing warmly against her ear, she said, “What are you talking about, Minister Cui? I’m not teasing you. Go ahead and handle your business.”

Cui Wangshu’s lips hooked up. Ignoring it, she continued working.

A flash of triumph slid through Jiang Chenbi’s eyes, and she grew even bolder—poking Cui Wangshu’s cheek one moment, nibbling her earlobe the next. When Cui Wangshu moved to stand, she pretended nothing had happened and retreated innocently.

After teasing for a long while and seeing Cui Wangshu still writing, Jiang Chenbi narrowed her eyes, her gaze falling beneath the desk.

She crawled under the table and knelt before the chair, tilting her head up to stare fixedly at Cui Wangshu.

Cui Wangshu looked down, narrowing her eyes. She pinched Jiang Chenbi’s chin and rasped, “Thirsty?”

Jiang Chenbi’s eyes darkened heavily. Without answering, she proved it with actions.

Cui Wangshu exhaled sharply twice, her jawline tensing. She reached down to press Jiang Chenbi’s head. Throughout, Jiang Chenbi’s gaze never left her face, seemingly quite satisfied with the desire staining it.

This woman’s technique was truly awful. Cui Wangshu’s temple vein throbbed. Unable to stand the dawdling, she pulled back abruptly. The chair scraped harshly against the floor.

Cui Wangshu lowered her gaze, her pupils dark and dilated. She stared sinisterly at Jiang Chenbi, desire and frustration suppressed in her eyes. The tip of her clean shoe hooked Jiang Chenbi’s chin as she growled, “Do you need me to teach you, Miss. Jiang?”

Jiang Chenbi licked her glistening lips and crawled out from under the desk, smirking wickedly. “But I’m full now.”

Cui Wangshu stared at her face, narrowing her eyes in a cold laugh. “It seems Miss Jiang hasn’t mastered her craft if she doesn’t even know if she’s full. Let me teach you properly.”

Excitement brewed in Jiang Chenbi’s eyes. She raised a brow. “How will you teach me, Minister Cui?”

Cui Wangshu picked up the belt from the floor, tied a deft knot, and looped it around Jiang Chenbi’s neck. Leaning back, she eyed her coldly and commanded, “Crawl over here.”

Jiang Chenbi stared at her in a daze, her breathing quickening. She had never seen Cui Wangshu like this—as if the chair beneath her weren’t ordinary, but a throne, and she herself a dog groveling at her feet, tail wagging pitifully.

Cui Wangshu tightened the belt slightly. Tugged forward, Jiang Chenbi knelt and crawled closer, kneeling before the woman’s legs. She looked up at Cui Wangshu’s face again.

Her usually aloof brows and eyes were now tinged with desire, a surging dominance in her gaze that left no escape. Jiang Chenbi lowered her head, her hands caressing the woman’s thighs, lifting those long legs onto her shoulders.

Cui Wangshu closed her eyes, tilted her head back, threaded her fingers through the woman’s soft hair, and pressed down, not letting her rise.

A long while passed.

Jiang Chenbi sat in the chair, pursing her somewhat swollen lips, her tongue root aching.

Cui Wangshu leaned against the edge of the desk, staring at her. She leisurely retied her belt. When Jiang Chenbi’s eyes caught on it, her ear tips flushed, and she shyly looked away.

Just now, she had been like a woman possessed—Cui Wangshu’s every command met with willing obedience, sweet as honey.

Though… the feeling of being a dog was pretty thrilling, it was still embarrassing afterward.

Seeing her bashful, Cui Wangshu curved her lips in a soft laugh. “Wasn’t it Miss Jiang who started this? Why are you the shy one now?”

Jiang Chenbi swallowed, her tongue too sore to speak.

Understanding flashed in Cui Wangshu’s eyes. She pulled Jiang Chenbi from the chair, wrapped her arms around her waist to hold her close, and said, “It seems Miss Jiang can’t handle a kiss right now.”

Cui Wangshu cupped her cheeks and pecked her lips lightly, her lashes brushing Jiang Chenbi’s face, tickling. Jiang Chenbi parted her lips to respond, but Cui Wangshu pulled away.

Jiang Chenbi frowned at her, eyes questioning.

Cui Wangshu’s fingertip hooked her belt, her voice low and husky. “I was going to let you rest today, but you don’t seem tired. Now then, let me properly teach Miss Jiang…”

She whispered the rest in Jiang Chenbi’s ear. Jiang Chenbi’s eyes widened in shock. She turned to flee, but Cui Wangshu scooped her up by the waist.

She was tossed onto the bed. Cui Wangshu bent to remove her shoes, then knelt on the bed with her knees, advancing on Jiang Chenbi step by step.

Jiang Chenbi kicked at the bed, scrambling back wildly, only to be pinned by Cui Wangshu and stripped bare.

Cui Wangshu folded her legs up, fully exposing her view, lips curving in a wicked smile. She chuckled lowly, “That’s not how a dog does it. Let me show Miss Jiang what it’s like.”

She paused meaningfully. “To feel like the master…”

Jiang Chenbi gnashed her teeth. “Shut up!”

She grabbed a pillow and hurled it at Cui Wangshu’s face to stop the dog-and-master talk.

Cui Wangshu caught it steadily and tucked it under Jiang Chenbi’s waist. Before lowering her head, she smiled. “Thank you.”

Jiang Chenbi’s pupils shrank. Her hand plunged into Cui Wangshu’s hair…

A suffocating sensation surged. Unable to endure, Jiang Chenbi gripped Cui Wangshu’s hair tightly, pulling her scalp painfully.

Cui Wangshu hissed. She lifted Jiang Chenbi’s hand away, interlacing their fingers and rubbing her thumb over the web of her hand in reassurance.

Soon, the near-death feeling arrived. Flashes of bizarre scenes passed before Jiang Chenbi’s eyes.

She recalled once venturing for the Liuhe Ji that Mountain Lord wanted. She had nearly died on Kunlun Snow Mountains.

Wolves had chased her then, one clamping her clothes so she couldn’t move—just like Cui Wangshu now gripping her waist tightly.

Luckily, though gravely injured, Jiang Chenbi had stayed conscious enough to kick the wolf free and roll down the snowy slope, saving her life.

Finally, Cui Wangshu lifted her wet face and teased, “I’m not thirsty. Miss Jiang doesn’t need to be so enthusiastic.”

Jiang Chenbi closed her eyes in utter mortification, unwilling to face the embarrassing scene. She kicked Cui Wangshu’s shoulder. “Shut up, Cui Wangshu.”

Seeing her use her full name, Cui Wangshu knew she was truly annoyed. She chuckled lightly, got up to pull the covers over her, and went to clean her face.

When she returned, Jiang Chenbi hadn’t moved. Cui Wangshu knew she hadn’t recovered yet.

She knew Jiang Chenbi’s body better than her own. Without Jiang Chenbi, she had no time for such things, no need to please or explore.

Looking at her, Cui Wangshu thought of something. She lifted the covers and circled her fingertip gently.

Jiang Chenbi glared. “Again?”

Cui Wangshu’s expression was serious and earnest. “I heard that starting the next round before the afterglow fades feels different.”

Jiang Chenbi, nearly passed out from one round, naturally refused. “Where’d you hear that nonsense? No!”

Cui Wangshu lowered her gaze, unclear if she listened.

Suddenly, Jiang Chenbi’s breath hitched. She knew it—Cui Wangshu hadn’t listened at all!

Practice proved it wasn’t nonsense. Jiang Chenbi writhed pitifully as Cui Wangshu had never seen.

Minister Cui gazed thoughtfully at the wet stains on the sheets, then at her hands. Who knew these hands, untouched by spring water, would one day wash bedsheets.

As for Jiang Chenbi, she lay on her side, motionless, as if she’d entered nirvana and become a monk—her expression carrying a monk’s detachment from worldly desires.

Embarrassing things—she’d done two in a row.

The first aside, the second was straight-up…

Jiang Chenbi covered her face, speechless before the pitiful sheets.

Cui Wangshu lay on her side and poked her cheek seriously. “Did it feel different?”

Jiang Chenbi: “!!!”
