Lu Ningshuang pressed the switch.

The air purifier at the top buzzed to life, dispersing the lingering entanglement of pheromones in the room.

The Alpha leaned against the headboard, her gaze casually fixed on some point ahead. But upon closer inspection, that look was dazed, utterly unfocused.

She had briefly entered… her sage time.

The rustle of the bedsheets sounded as Qin Yushu rose from beside her.

As an Omega, her condition was completely different from Lu Ningshuang’s. A faint blush colored her cheeks and skin—obvious to anyone with eyes—and her brows and the corners of her eyes brimmed with seductive charm, like a demoness who had fully absorbed the essence of life.

The Alpha’s pheromones… probably counted for something, right?

As soon as she moved, Lu Ningshuang snapped back to attention.

But with just one glance, the Alpha immediately averted her eyes again.

This drew a soft laugh from the Omega.

How interesting.

They had clearly done everything under the catalysis of pheromones just moments ago.

Yet now that it was all over and things had calmed down, she was suddenly shy again, not even daring to look.

Qin Yushu pulled on a piece of clothing and draped it over herself. She didn’t press the Alpha too hard. “I’m going to take a shower.”

Lu Ningshuang hesitated for a moment before doing so.

Qin Yushu arched a brow lightly.

“Not like that!”

Lu Ningshuang hurried to explain. “I mean your heat period, the heat period issue!!”

“Generally, after an Omega is marked by an Alpha, the effect lasts at least a month. During that time, there are no discomfort symptoms from the heat period. But why…”

Her gaze involuntarily drifted to the back of Qin Yushu’s neck.

Qin Yushu followed her line of sight and touched that patch of skin with her fingertips.

The fully healed skin and the glands beneath had been torn open once more, forcefully injected with the Alpha’s scent. This time, it was completely satiated.
