Chapter 10: Eileen’s Abilities

Fortunately, Eileen’s strength as a Mid-Rank Apostle was quite impressive. She was always able to detect the armies of the Three Kingdoms Allied Forces in advance and carefully evade them.

Throughout this process, the Bullet Comments appeared intermittently. Amelia knew the audience was likely only seeing partial transitional scenes.

At noon, they hid in a forest and ate some meat Eileen had prepared. In the afternoon, they continued moving through the mountains.

Gradually, night fell.

By this time, Eileen had finally carried Amelia to the vicinity of Falcon City.

‘To think it took this long. It seems we won’t be able to break through the encirclement when chaos erupts among the Three Kingdoms Allied Forces tomorrow. Fortunately, this kind of chaos will last for many days, and letting it ferment for a few days will be even better. We still have ample time.’

Amelia thought silently.

Taking this time to acquire the Bard’s Bow Mindscape Diagram wasn’t a waste of time. Although it wasn’t a route directly north, it didn’t deviate too much and could be considered on the way.

“Eileen, how do we get into the city next?”

Amelia lay on Eileen’s back, breathing in the natural fragrance of Eileen’s hair, her gaze looking ahead.

Falcon City wasn’t dark at night. Quite a few lights could be seen, along with people coming and going.

Even though night had fallen, a line of people was still waiting to enter at the large city gate. However, everyone entering the city seemed to undergo strict inspection. In particular, guards would repeatedly compare their faces against a wanted poster.

“Let’s get closer and look for an opportunity.”

Eileen instinctively lowered her voice, then carried Amelia closer.

They didn’t head for the city gate but chose a spot far from it.

Although there were patrols on the city walls, they weren’t densely packed. Their numbers were somewhat sparse, so as long as they were careful, they wouldn’t be discovered.

As Eileen approached, Amelia looked at the Bullet Comments that had appeared and found they didn’t offer any better methods for entering the city.

After reaching the base of the city wall, Eileen said quietly, “Miss, I will jump directly inside next. Please prepare yourself mentally.”

“Jump inside? Is your jumping ability that strong?” Amelia looked at the roughly ten-meter-high wall and asked.

The patrol on the wall had already walked far away. Their current location was deserted for the moment. If they could jump directly inside, it truly didn’t seem to be a problem.

The main issue was that the Three Kingdoms Allied Forces personnel were scattered throughout the Steele Kingdom. They were short on manpower, and the number assigned to guard the city was too few.

“No problem, Miss. When I became a Trainee Apostle, the ability I grasped was Jump Enhancement,” Eileen explained.

As Eileen explained, the Bullet Comments also started talking about her abilities. A single glance allowed Amelia to understand the situation.

Trainee Apostle, Low-Rank Apostle, Mid-Rank Apostle… Every time an Apostle elevated their Rank, they could receive a blessing from God in the unseen, obtain Divine Power to strengthen themselves, and gain an ability.

Each Rank granted one ability, and the ability obtained varied depending on the person’s focus.

The effects of the acquired abilities were not fixed but would strengthen as one’s own power grew. Therefore, even abilities obtained during the Trainee Apostle stage could not be ignored.

The ability Eileen obtained as a Trainee Apostle was Jump Enhancement, a passive ability that greatly enhanced her jumping power.

The Bullet Comments also revealed the abilities she gained at the Low-Rank Apostle and Mid-Rank Apostle stages.
