After entering the alley, Amelia turned around and, with a loud tear, ripped Eileen’s skirt open.
Eileen: “…”
“Don’t misunderstand, Eileen. I plan for us to disguise ourselves as vagrants to infiltrate the slave owner Eden’s mansion. But our clothes aren’t ragged enough yet, so we need to make some… adjustments.” Amelia explained the situation.
“I understand.” Eileen sighed in relief.
The two spent quite a while fussing in the small alley before emerging.
When they came out, their clothes were tattered and torn. Any exposed skin was deliberately smeared with ash, making them look grimy and utterly unappealing.
Their faces were the same, covered in dust and dirt, making it difficult to see their original beauty.
After emerging, they quickly made their way forward and joined the many other vagrants, lining up in a queue.
[Amelia’s mind is so sharp, figuring out a plan that quickly. Was she always this clever?]
[Yeah, Amelia has been surprisingly impressive since this show started. First, she decisively killed Head Maid Molly, as if she’d known Molly was a traitor all along. Then she chose to have Eileen, who knew the Royal Capital and castle better, help her escape. After that came the decision to head north, and that attempt to pray to the Elf God.]
[I have to say, a character with actual intelligence is quite likeable.]
[Panda Studio’s shows are usually pretty reliable.]
[Speaking of which, has anyone reported the issues with this series to Panda Studio? The single episode, the seemingly endless progress bar, the inability to skip to unwatched parts — any answers on those problems?]
[It seems someone did report it. Panda Studio’s answer was that they have no idea what’s going on, said they never made this series, and are investigating but have no leads.]
[Hahaha, Panda Studio is getting more and more humorous. They must be teasing us on purpose.]
[I admit it, Panda Studio, you’ve got my attention.]
As Amelia stood in line, she was also reading the bullet comments.
She felt a bit embarrassed when she saw everyone calling her clever. After all, she was only acting on a kind of foresight granted by the comments.
The later discussion mentioning Panda Studio also made Amelia thoughtful. That must be the anime company that produced “Vengeance of the Fallen Kingdom’s Sword Saint,” but her current situation probably had nothing to do with them.
“Miss, it’s almost our turn.” Noticing Amelia seemed slightly distracted, Eileen whispered a reminder.
Amelia snapped back to attention and looked ahead, realizing that she and Eileen had almost reached the front of the line without noticing.
Eden was simply trying to trick people into becoming slaves; the registration wouldn’t be overly detailed. It was just a simple process of jotting down names and general physical descriptions.
It wasn’t long before it was Amelia and Eileen’s turn.
The person in charge of registration was a man with a pointed chin and eyes that were merely slits. He looked the two over and asked for their names. Both Amelia and Eileen gave the fake names they had come up with.
“Alright, you two can go in now.”
The man didn’t give it a second thought and had someone lead Amelia and Eileen into the mansion behind him.
The mansion was very spacious. Soon after entering, they were led towards a large, domed building that covered a vast area. As they drew closer, they could faintly hear the clamor of noise coming from within.
Amelia only glanced at it; her gaze shifted to another warehouse situated next to the domed building.
There it is.
Amelia immediately stopped walking and shot Eileen a look.
