Chapter 19: Dark Winds, High Moon

Amelia’s hand gently swept over the art-like bow, and her fingers found a word carved into its body.

Once the bundle was full, the two walked out of the warehouse.

A palpable, murderous atmosphere naturally spread.

A multitude of figures stood outside, pairs of eyes fixed directly on the two who had just emerged from the warehouse.

At their head was a pot-bellied man — none other than the Slave Owner, Eden Newman!

Seeing the situation outside, Amelia’s expression immediately changed.

When had these people arrived?

“What an unexpected situation. To think my own house would be targeted by thieves. Could it be that my name, Eden Newman, isn’t well-regarded enough here in Falcon City?” Eden’s gaze swept over Amelia and Eileen with a hint of ferocity.

The reason he had discovered the situation here was related to a Barrier he had hired someone to place on the Bard’s Bow Mindscape Diagram. The moment the Mindscape Diagram was opened, the Barrier would be broken, and he would naturally know there was a problem here.

However, for now, he only believed his home had been burgled and hadn’t considered anything else.

“Move in. Seize these two little thieves,” Eden commanded with a wave of his hand.

As Eden gave the order, the people accompanying him rushed forward. These men were all hired thugs Eden had raised. Though not even Apostles themselves, they were numerous in force and more than sufficient for dealing with ordinary residents on a normal day.

“Miss!”

Eileen moved closer to Amelia.

“Don’t worry about me, Eileen. Show me your true strength. Take them all out,” Amelia said after glancing at the bullet comments.

Judging from the bullet comments, Eden and his men’s strength was extremely limited.

While Eden himself was a Mid-Rank Apostle, he was a businessman by nature and lacked combat experience. Eileen, born from the military and rich in battle experience, would find no difficulty in dealing with him.

“Understood, Miss.”
