Chapter 20: Mid-Rank Apostle

Eileen’s weapon was the sword she had used during her time in the Royal Guard. Naturally, it was a piece of Alchemical Equipment called “North Wind,” its streamlined blade incredibly tough and sharp.

Now, facing the crowd charging toward her, Eileen wasted no time. She channeled her Divine Power into North Wind, then raised the sword and slashed it horizontally through the empty air before her.

With her motion, a brilliant flash of white light burst forth, transforming into a thick Sword Aura that spread outward. It was over ten meters long and moved too fast to dodge.

The charging group didn’t even realize what was happening before the aura swept through their bodies, cutting them in half at the waist. They collapsed with a series of thuds, their blood staining the earth.

In the blink of an eye, only Amelia, Eileen, and Eden remained standing.

This was one of his Alchemical Equipment pieces, capable of strengthening the abilities he used.

Without hesitation, Eden unleashed a bright ball of fire, sending it shooting into the sky. If the fireball burst in the air, it would alert more of his people.

He had other Apostles under his command, but they weren’t nearby. If his subordinate Apostles saw the signal and arrived, the situation could shift in his favor.

But just as Eden’s fireball rocketed upward, a cyan arrow flew in from afar, striking the fireball directly.

“Boom!”

The fireball exploded the instant it touched something else.

The blast created a massive gust of wind that forced Eden stumbling backward, a startled look appearing on his face.

Was that the power of wind just now? But wasn’t that an Elf’s power?

“Don’t let him send a message.”

Before Eden could figure it out, a female voice rang out.
