Chapter 29 p2: The Cannon Fodder A Who Has a Crush on the Female Lead O (26)
Jiang Mengyu obediently sat on the edge of the bed. The next second, Chi Jingyan directly pressed her shoulders and pushed her back. Jiang Mengyu fell onto the bed with the force of Chi Jingyan’s push. Her body briefly sank into the covers, and was quickly pressed down by another person.
Chi Jingyan was not coy. She swung her long leg and sat directly on Jiang Mengyu’s body, her eyes sparkling with anticipation. “Let me bite you once, and I’ll forgive you.”
She was still thinking about being temporarily marked by Jiang Mengyu.
Jiang Mengyu stared at Chi Jingyan’s eyes. “Are you serious?”
Chi Jingyan’s robe had completely slipped off and was piled at her waist. However, she couldn’t be bothered with that anymore. Hearing that Jiang Mengyu’s tone seemed to have loosened, Chi Jingyan couldn’t help but bend down slightly, her hands propped on either side of Jiang Mengyu’s head.
“When have I ever joked with you?”
Jiang Mengyu’s long hair was spread out messily on the bed. She tilted her head and showed Chi Jingyan her slender white neck. “Go ahead.”
Chi Jingyan gripped the bedsheet in her hand, her tone filled with a hint of disbelief. “Are you really willing?”
Jiang Mengyu closed her eyes. “Instead of waiting for you to mark another Omega, I’d rather you mark me.”
The excitement in Chi Jingyan’s heart slowly subsided. So Jiang Mengyu wasn’t really willing; she just wanted to get ahead of Chu Muyao.
Chi Jingyan ground her teeth. She lowered her body again, her cheek close to the back of Jiang Mengyu’s neck. The faint airflow from her breath stirred up an itch. Chi Jingyan felt the person in front of her tense up, her long lashes trembling, clearly enduring.
She sneered, tilted her head, and instead of biting Jiang Mengyu’s gland, she bit her shoulder.
Jiang Mengyu’s eyes suddenly flew open. Her shoulder hurt, but her eyes lit up.
Only after Chi Jingyan let go did Jiang Mengyu ask in a hoarse voice, “Why didn’t you mark me?”
“If I really did that,” Chi Jingyan raised one hand and carelessly traced Jiang Mengyu’s features, from the tip of her pert nose all the way down to her lips, “would you hate me?”
“No,” Jiang Mengyu stared at her without blinking. “I love you, so you can do whatever you want to me.”
Chi Jingyan’s fingertips stopped. She looked at Jiang Mengyu with an unreadable expression. “If… the person who saved you back then wasn’t me, would you still like me?”
“There are no ifs.”
Jiang Mengyu said, “I wouldn’t mistake my own savior.”
But she had mistaken her now.
Chi Jingyan’s mood suddenly became very annoyed. Looking at Jiang Mengyu’s determined expression, she only felt sarcastic.
“Alright,” Chi Jingyan rolled off Jiang Mengyu’s body. “I’m tired.”
She didn’t want to discuss this issue with Jiang Mengyu anymore.
Chi Jingyan laughed at herself in her heart. She actually had a day where she would avoid facing something.
Chi Jingyan lifted the covers and lay down in front of Jiang Mengyu. She closed her eyes, and after her vision went dark, her hearing became even more sensitive.
She heard Jiang Mengyu sit up. She had originally thought that the other person would get up and leave, but who knew that the space beside her soon sank down, and then a pair of arms wrapped around her waist.
Chi Jingyan opened her eyes. Her body relaxed with the other person’s closeness, but her mouth was still hard. “Who let you on my bed.”
“Didn’t you tell me to come over?” Jiang Mengyu held Chi Jingyan in her arms. She reached up with one hand and covered Chi Jingyan’s mouth, stopping her from continuing to speak.
“Anyway, this isn’t the first time we’ve shared a bed.”
“Just take pity on me, okay?”
Chi Jingyan closed her mouth.
Alright, since Jiang Mengyu had already said so, it wasn’t impossible for her to give her a little treat.
The person in her arms finally quieted down. Jiang Mengyu also felt a little tired. She sniffed the sweet wine scent on Chi Jingyan’s body, and her heart became exceptionally peaceful and calm.
“A-Yan,” Jiang Mengyu found Chi Jingyan’s hand under the covers. She ignored Chi Jingyan’s slight struggle and forcefully intertwined their fingers.
“An Alpha who has been marked also needs comfort. I need your pheromones.”
Chi Jingyan: ?
Chi Jingyan’s eyes widened. “When did I mark you?”
“Just now,” Jiang Mengyu had no shame in being a rogue. “Your bite mark is still there. Are you trying to deny it?”
Chi Jingyan’s face turned red with anger. “I didn’t even bite your gland.”
“But it hurts a lot.”
This sentence immediately silenced Chi Jingyan.
She remembered that when Jiang Mengyu was standing in front of her just now, there seemed to be a faint green mark on the calf exposed beneath her nightdress.
It should have been from her kicking her that night.
Chi Jingyan recalled that she had indeed not been gentle with Jiang Mengyu. Not only did she curse at her, she had even shot at her twice.
For Jiang Mengyu to regard someone as her savior because of a piece of candy and a piece of bread showed that she herself actually longed to be treated gently.
Chi Jingyan suddenly became worried. She didn’t seem to be the type that Jiang Mengyu would like. If it weren’t for Jiang Mengyu mistaking her for her savior, she definitely wouldn’t like her.
It seemed that she would have to be a little nicer to Jiang Mengyu in the future. At least she couldn’t lose her temper so easily.
As Chi Jingyan was thinking, she suddenly heard the person behind her ask softly, “A-Yan, am I really not dreaming?”
Chi Jingyan subconsciously replied, “Then you’re quite amazing, starting to dream before you’ve even fallen asleep.”
After saying that, Chi Jingyan froze.
She bit her lip in annoyance.
But Jiang Mengyu didn’t seem to mind. Instead, she let out a soft laugh. “I know.”
Hearing that she didn’t seem to be really angry, Chi Jingyan finally felt relieved. But after reacting, she couldn’t help but feel a little awkward.
Why did she care so much about whether Jiang Mengyu was angry or not?
Chi Jingyan forced herself to close her eyes and stop thinking about Jiang Mengyu. She would just treat the person behind her as a large bolster pillow that smelled of jasmine.
She had just barely calmed her mood when she suddenly felt the person behind her move. Soon, a soft touch landed on her shoulder.
It was Jiang Mengyu’s lips.
“Good night, A-Yan.”
Chi Jingyan: …
Chi Jingyan was completely sleepless.
…
The people in Class 9 suddenly found that the atmosphere in the classroom was a little strange today.
For the entire morning, Chu Muyao and Chi Jingyan hadn’t said a word to each other. The two of them seemed to be having a tiff, you ignore me, and I’ll ignore you.
But looking closely at Chi Jingyan’s expression, she didn’t seem to be angry. In fact, she would occasionally show a hint of an inscrutable expression.
Among them, Xie Xun felt it the most.
Because she had personally seen Chi Jingyan glance at Jiang Mengyu several times.
When Chi Jingyan subconsciously looked at Jiang Mengyu again, Xie Xun finally couldn’t hold back and asked in a small voice, “Sister Chi, did that annoying person make you angry again?”
Otherwise, why would Sister Chi keep glaring at Jiang Mengyu?
Chi Jingyan was startled, a hint of guilt from being caught. But she was very good at pretending, and her face still had a faint expression. “She’s not an annoying person.”
But Jiang Mengyu had indeed made her unhappy.
She had said that they still had to go to class today, so she couldn’t kiss her so hard. But Jiang Mengyu had still bitten her mouth until it was swollen. If it weren’t for Chi Jingyan ruthlessly pushing her away at the last moment, Jiang Mengyu might have done something even more excessive.
Although it wasn’t much better now.
Chi Jingyan averted her eyes awkwardly.
Xie Xun was at a loss for words. She suspected that there might be something wrong with her ears, otherwise how could she have heard a hint of protectiveness for Jiang Mengyu in Chi Jingyan’s words?
Seeing that Chi Jingyan didn’t want to say more, Xie Xun didn’t ask again. Her gaze slid down and landed on the band-aid on Chi Jingyan’s neck. “Sister Chi, what happened to your neck?”
Chi Jingyan’s face stiffened slightly. “I was bitten by a dog.”
“Huh?” Xie Xun was stunned.
When did Sister Chi get a dog?
No, what kind of dog was so fierce?
It was one thing to dare to bite its owner, but to bite a vulnerable place like the neck?!
Xie Xun’s face showed worry. “Sister Chi, you can’t indulge it. You have to teach it a harsh lesson. Otherwise, if there’s a first time, there will be a second.”
Chi Jingyan’s tone was perfunctory. “I know.”
Seeing that she was absent-minded, Xie Xun thought for a moment and, in the end, didn’t say anything else.
After school at noon, everyone was packing their things to go to eat. Chi Jingyan glanced at Jiang Mengyu. Unexpectedly, Jiang Mengyu was also looking at her. After the two of them had looked at each other for two seconds, Chi Jingyan still got up and walked toward Chu Muyao.
She left with Chu Muyao.
Seeing this, everyone finally breathed a sigh of relief. As expected, their cold war was only temporary.
Jiang Mengyu lowered her eyes and said nothing.
Chen He’an was holding her meal card, preparing to go to eat. Seeing that she hadn’t left yet, she asked casually, “I’m going to the cafeteria. Are you going?”
Jiang Mengyu shook her head.
She waited for a while longer, and a new message suddenly popped up on WeChat.
[Come to the art studio.]
It was from Chi Jingyan.
…
Chi Jingyan guessed that Jiang Mengyu probably hadn’t gone to eat yet. She had specially ordered two meals and was waiting for Jiang Mengyu in the art studio.
After waiting for an unknown amount of time, just as Chi Jingyan’s patience was about to run out, the art studio door was suddenly pushed open from the outside. Chi Jingyan turned her head and saw Jiang Mengyu’s figure appear in front of her.
“Come and eat.”
Chi Jingyan let out a breath. She withdrew her gaze and remained seated.
The sound of footsteps gradually approached, but strangely, Jiang Mengyu didn’t speak.
Chi Jingyan knitted her brows. She looked up again in confusion and found that Jiang Mengyu had already walked in front of her.
The Alpha’s face was cold and gloomy.
Chi Jingyan: “What are you doing…”
Before she could finish her sentence, Jiang Mengyu suddenly placed her hand on the back of her chair. Chi Jingyan sensed that something was wrong and held her breath slightly.
Jiang Mengyu bent down and approached Chi Jingyan, her eyes fixed on the person in front of her. “You told me not to talk to Chen He’an.”
Her face had no expression. “But you were happily chatting with someone else.”
“What was that Alpha’s name again?”
“Xie Xun?”
Chi Jingyan was first unhappy, then her expression slowly became smug.
“Jiang Mengyu.”
“Are you jealous?”
Jiang Mengyu didn’t speak, only looking at Chi Jingyan with dark eyes. The colder she acted, the more pleased Chi Jingyan became.
“You’re even jealous of a classmate?”
Besides, she had only said a few words to Xie Xun today.
Jiang Mengyu didn’t answer, but retorted, “What about Chu Muyao?”
“What did you say to her just now?”
As she spoke, Jiang Mengyu leaned closer, the tip of her nose only a finger’s distance from Chi Jingyan’s.
“A-Yan, didn’t you say you’d see how I perform?”
Chi Jingyan knew that she cared a lot about this matter. She was about to explain when something else suddenly appeared in the corner of her eye.
Chi Jingyan’s face froze. Her gaze passed over Jiang Mengyu in front of her and looked at the art studio door.
A figure had appeared at the previously empty doorway at some point, quietly looking at them. She didn’t know how long she had been watching, her expression so calm that there was not a single ripple in her eyes.
It was Chu Muyao.
