Chapter 14

Sang Lu’s actions were, in some ways, easy to understand, but at other times, they would leave others bewildered.

After putting Xia Weishuang down and settling her like a young animal, she turned and left.

Xia Weishuang and Xia Qingxue lay side by side, looking at each other without a word.

Suddenly, a figure appeared in the darkness ahead.

In the nick of time, a shadow suddenly flew in from outside the window and pierced through the zombie’s head.

The frantically attacking zombie stopped. Xia Weishuang pushed it, and it fell to the side with a thud.

Mi Lele stood there, holding the chair and trembling all over. Suddenly, she screamed and ran back, shrinking back to Xia Qingxue’s side. She crouched by Xia Qingxue’s leg, covering her mouth and crying.

Xia Weishuang scrambled to her feet, her back covered in dust and scratches.

Sang Lu was crouching on the windowsill, looking at her. She reached out and handed her a piece of clothing.

It was an old work uniform that had been dug up from somewhere. Xia Weishuang took it and put it on.

She had just said a word of thanks when Sang Lu reached out and patted her on the head.

Suddenly, the image in front of Xia Weishuang rippled like water. She saw Sang Lu suddenly open her mouth wide, revealing her cold fangs, and bite down on her.
