Lu Jia had heard the sound of heels earlier. Only one person.
She could tell it wasn’t Sheng Shubai’s footsteps, and she knew that woman wouldn’t come looking for her, so she didn’t turn around. She just assumed it was another guest coming out for some air.
An entire glass of wine spilled squarely onto her light-colored shirt.
Lu Jia froze for a moment and took the initiative to speak. “Sorry, I didn’t notice.”
The woman in front of her had striking, voluptuous features, with an indescribable meaning lingering at the corners of her brows.
Her gaze was fixed intently, making Lu Jia involuntarily step back half a pace.
Seeing the woman pull out a wet wipe from somewhere and raise her hand to press it against Lu Jia’s shirt, she said, “I should be the one apologizing. I dirtied your clothes. Let me help you—”
“No need.”
Before Lu Jia could politely refuse, a familiar cool female voice spoke first.
She turned her head toward the voice and found Sheng Shubai standing by her side at some point, gripping the woman’s wrist.
Sheng Shubai chuckled lightly. “A trick that’s been worn out for ten years already. Miss, your acting skills need work.”
“Hey, isn’t it first come, first served?”
The woman shook her hand but couldn’t break free, so she awkwardly withdrew it and said irritably.
She had been watching the girl in front of her for a while and saw that she was always alone, so she had approached with full confidence.
She’d tried this move several times before, and it always worked. But tonight, some woman had swooped in out of nowhere.
“First come, first served?”
Sheng Shubai’s tone lifted slightly.
She tilted her head slightly and glanced at Lu Jia’s shirt, which was soaked over a large area—right at the chest, where the shape of her undergarment showed through clearly from the wetting.
She adjusted the girl’s coat for her, her voice cooled by the wind as she lowered her eyes and asked, “Go with her, or go with me?”
“I want to go with you.”
Lu Jia subtly hooked the woman’s pinky finger and leaned into the arm wrapped around her waist, softly calling, “Miss Sheng.”
With her shirt splashed like that, she naturally needed to change it.
Fortunately, she’d encountered this kind of ploy many times before, so Sheng Shubai always kept spare jackets and shirts in her car.
She gave the woman a light, dismissive glance, then led Lu Jia inside while casually texting the boss to have her car parked in the staff-only underground area.
“No one will come here at this hour. Don’t worry.”
Sheng Shubai took out a shirt and handed it to Lu Jia along with wet wipes and a box of tissues, gesturing for her to handle it in the back seat.
“The windows have anti-peep film. I’ll wait outside and call a car to send you back later.”
Her tone was very calm, a complete contrast to the way she’d stood in front of Lu Jia and confronted the stranger not long ago.
Sheng Shubai had already regained her composure.
She didn’t know what had come over her just now. She’d clearly cut ties with Lu Jia, yet…
When she’d entered the terrace from the side door, she saw the girl leaning against the railing.
She’d wanted to turn back, but then she spotted a woman holding a wine glass, heading straight toward Lu Jia’s position with obvious intent. She could see the pickup attempt from a mile away.
She should have left, but her feet felt rooted to the spot.
When the woman tried to wipe the wine stain for Lu Jia, she couldn’t hold back and intervened.
One thing led to another, and now they were in this situation.
Sheng Shubai snapped back to reality, only to see Lu Jia not taking the items. Instead, she propped her head against the other side of the car seat, her pretty brows slightly furrowed.
“Drunk? Or did the wind make you uncomfortable earlier?”
Sheng Shubai sighed, got in, placed the shirt beside Lu Jia, and poked her cheek. “Hm?”
The touch felt a bit hot, though she wasn’t sure if it was from the alcohol kicking in.
She knew Lu Jia was usually very obedient to her, especially clingy when drunk.
Sheng Shubai softened her voice, pulled out a tissue, and held it in front of the girl. “Wipe first. Change your clothes, or you’ll catch a cold.”
The next second, her wrist was tugged lightly.
But Sheng Shubai couldn’t break free. She watched as Lu Jia pulled her wrist over and placed it on her soft chest, even pressing it down a bit further.
“Sister, I have no strength left.”
Lu Jia’s eyes held a clear drunken gleam as she said softly, “Can you help me wipe?”
This was the first time Lu Jia had called her “sister” outside of bed.
Her fingers, forced against the collar, tightened unconsciously. Sheng Shubai narrowed her eyes, her voice deepening. “On purpose?”
She pressed her fingertip slightly, sensing the rapid heartbeat beneath the skin.
A familiar frantic rhythm.
Just the night before last, she’d been led to feel the same tempo, but her mind had been too chaotic then—she’d hastily brushed the hand away without savoring it.
Her approaching breath and pressure bore down together. Lu Jia curved her lips into a smile.
It was the lightest of laughs.
In the enclosed space, it floated languidly, tugging at Sheng Shubai’s heart and stirring a faint itch like ripples.
“Yes.”
Seeing her still unmoving, Lu Jia simply lifted her other hand to unbutton her shirt, exposing her beautiful curves.
No lights on, but she could see the faint clear stain on her chest from the spilled wine.
Lu Jia hooked her neck. “I did it on purpose. Will you hate it?”
She hadn’t lied to Sheng Shubai.
In those few minutes while waiting for the car to be parked, perhaps because someone who made her feel safe was nearby, or maybe from moving from the cold wind back indoors, the drunkenness surged back fiercer.
The wet shirt was uncomfortable against her skin, and her head throbbed, but it was far from the point where she couldn’t wipe herself.
She was doing it on purpose.
Not just because of the possessiveness in that woman’s gaze earlier, but also recalling the two words that stuck deepest from Shi Mengxi’s whisper in her ear before leaving: “seduce.”
Would it work?
Lu Jia hadn’t been sure at first, but seeing the shift in the woman’s eyes, she felt… this step was right, and dangerous.
Her slender, cool fingertips reached behind, deftly unclasping the undergarment that bound her curves.
Lu Jia shrank back a little, but where could she hide in the car seat?
Sheng Shubai easily pinned her, covering her with the wet wipe and carefully wiping with lowered eyes.
Her expression was serious, but when passing over the reddened spot, her pad pressed down with a kneading twist.
Soft, urgent breaths spread between them.
She wiped once with the wet wipe, then cleaned it thoroughly.
She signaled Lu Jia to cooperate in removing the shirt. Sheng Shubai hadn’t planned to do anything more in the car—just help her change into the clean one.
“Shubai-jie…”
Her senses sharpened by the alcohol, after just that brief kneading, Lu Jia hooked her hand, her brows already misty with desire.
Her hand hooked, stroking downward inch by inch.
Sheng Shubai didn’t move, letting Lu Jia guide her fingertip to tease. Her tip curled slightly, pressing just right, making the girl leaning against the seatback shudder again.
“Sure about here?”
Her answer was Lu Jia’s lips meeting hers proactively.
Sheng Shubai was glad she’d driven the SUV today—the back seat was spacious enough.
The two shirts were long crumpled together in the corner, and other things tossed aside in the seat.
Lu Jia clung to her shoulders, her words shattered into near-continuous whimpers by the pressing force, yet she chose this moment to speak:
“Miss Sheng… so what are we… now?”
Sheng Shubai nipped the soft flesh below her side neck. “Must you ask right now?”
She deliberately slowed her movements.
She’d been avoiding this question all along, and tonight’s recklessness was beyond her expectations.
She didn’t know where this kid got her stubbornness from.
Two rounds already, and now sitting limp-waisted on her lap without strength to move, yet still pressing relentlessly.
Retreating to just her index finger, light and slow, drawing out slick wetness, her touches feather-light.
“Still asking?”
Sheng Shubai bit her earlobe, breathing out.
Lu Jia was teased to the edge, tempted to bite the woman’s shoulder.
But the skin was so smooth and delicate; she couldn’t bear to really do it. She could only mutter sulkily, “You’re bullying me.”
Sheng Shubai couldn’t help laughing. “Yes, I’m the bad woman, bullying you.”
She simply withdrew her last finger too, glancing down at the seat soaked with who-knew-how-much wetness, with no time to care.
This time, lying down. No hands needed.
From lips to jaw, thoroughly wet. Sheng Shubai was too lazy to wipe, lifting her chin to let Lu Jia lean in and lick-kiss it clean bit by bit.
She hadn’t lost much clothing herself—at most, her top hiked up and mouthed.
After a simple tidy, she fetched a dark shirt to help the girl change into it, then carefully wrapped her coat around her.
Just that brief wiping for Lu Jia had easily stirred new urges. But the car wouldn’t do— not enough space to spread out.
She got a reply to the message she’d sent the boss earlier.
The boss’s business wasn’t just the bar; the upper floors were a hotel, convenient for guests too drunk late at night to check in seamlessly—one-stop service.
Sheng Shubai frequented the place and often stayed past midnight instead of heading back to her apartment, so she had a permanent room.
It had been a while since she’d used it, so she’d just confirmed it had been cleaned recently.
With affirmative confirmation, she took Lu Jia upstairs, running into the boss in the hallway.
He saw her arm around the same girl from before and gave an understanding, teasing smile.
Just inside the door, Lu Jia tugged her knit top’s hem up, and Sheng Shubai let her.
Her slender, pretty waist and abdomen exposed to the air. The heating had just started, so the room still held winter’s chill.
A scorching palm temperature covered it.
A comfortable warmth. Sheng Shubai accommodated her kneading caresses, leisurely asking, “Still got energy?”
As if she hadn’t been the one slumped exhausted against her earlier.
Lu Jia pursed her lips, showing a hint of soft displeasure. “Mm.”
She knew asking Sheng Shubai wouldn’t help—the woman wouldn’t give answers if she didn’t want to.
Might as well vent the frustration directly. It wasn’t like they hadn’t done it before.
Sheng Shubai was happy to let her take the lead. Their outer clothes fell to the carpet, and she gripped the girl’s soft waist, rubbing slick sensations along her own defined abs.
Already three or four times in the car earlier.
Lu Jia ground just once before going limp on her, their beautiful curves pressed together, squeezing out creamy softness.
As she tried to kiss downward, she was flipped and pinned beneath.
“You…” bullying me again.
Before Lu Jia could finish, her lips were blocked. Two fingertips lightly swallowed her words whole.
Meeting a pair of watery eyes brimming with desire, softened in the warm light.
Lu Jia realized something and waited for Sheng Shubai’s next words.
“I really can’t trust others.”
Sheng Shubai stroked downward while leaning close, nipping her earlobe as she spoke. “Not even you, Lu Jia. I can’t just accept your feelings all at once.”
“Even if you like me?” Lu Jia asked.
Sheng Shubai paused. “Even if I like you.”
It was the first time she’d admitted it, her tone softening a bit. “Lu Jia, give me some time, okay?”
Seeing the girl nod, she straightened up again, sinking her hips down against Lu Jia’s defined lower abdomen.
Her hair tips draped over her shoulders, half-obscuring her soft curves.
Lu Jia raised a hand to brush it away, but Sheng Shubai caught it, pressing it to her own fast-beating heart. “Then now…”
She clasped Lu Jia’s hand, interlocking their fingers and pinning it beside them. “Lu Jia, you should focus.”
