“Someone might be filming before you get in the car. CEO Shen, let me support Miss Xu.”

It was a perfectly reasonable suggestion, yet the secretary spoke with a distinct lack of confidence amidst the soft, stifled sounds that drifted over from time to time. After all, her ears were so red they hardly felt like her own anymore.

In the past, it had always been the secretary who helped carry back those lovers who were dead drunk and unconscious.

How could CEO Shen possibly stoop to doing something like this?

Shen Yi didn’t notice anything unusual, extending the hand she had been shielding toward the secretary.

This pushing motion caused Xu Yinian, who had been focused only on her own comfort, to suddenly regain a bit of clarity.

Realizing that the other was about to hand her over, those eyes instantly welled with tears again. She shook her head and pleaded in a soft, aggrieved voice:

“I want… I want you…”

“Be good.”

Shen Yi’s tone left no room for refusal.

But the secretary knew that such comfort was already the softest language in CEO Shen’s dictionary.

The innate docility in Xu Yinian’s bones offered no resistance; she currently lacked the strength to even stand on her own, leaning weakly in the secretary’s arms.

The discomfort seemed cumulative. Where there had once been only heat and emptiness, a gnawing itch like crawling ants now surfaced in specific spots, a sensation too embarrassing to put into words. With just a few prodded steps, it became slick and sticky there. Overwhelmed by an instinctive shame and fear, she pressed her legs together, trying to hide the strange sensation.

The secretary’s temperature was higher than Shen Yi’s, and she lacked that familiar cold fragrance that brought a sense of security. But right now, Xu Yinian was refusing no one; she simply needed someone. After a moment, Xu Yinian sought out the coolness of the secretary’s formal suit and pressed herself against her.

Shen Yi’s gaze never left Xu Yinian.

Seeing the girl forget her the moment she turned around, only to use the exact same clumsy tactics to pester her secretary, Shen Yi’s already cold expression darkened further.

The secretary felt as if she were sitting on pins and needles, hurriedly and discreetly ushering the person aside. She dared not even look at that face—one so vibrant with youth that it made her heart pound with trepidation. The private elevator went straight to the underground parking lot, where the car had been waiting for some time, ready to depart at a moment’s notice.

The secretary ushered her into the back seat. The moment the door closed, she distinctly heard that noble, condescending voice, still cold as ever:

“Didn’t you want me?

Then get on top yourself.”

The secretary didn’t dare imagine what they were going to do in the car. Shaking her head, she went back to deal with the mess and, sure enough, found a camera in a corner facing the workstation’s dining area.

It was likely for real-time monitoring to see if Shen Yi had consumed the drug.

When Shen Yi came to her own hotel for business, she indeed had the habit of working and resting in a suite, usually ordering coffee or tea in advance.

The other party had clearly been observing her for a long time and was quite familiar with her routine.

Since there was a camera, the other party naturally knew the plan had changed and would likely call it off immediately; they wouldn’t be foolish enough to send someone else to walk right into a trap.

The camera and the leftover drinks and desserts on the table were packed separately as evidence.

She also found a phone on the ground.

Guessing it belonged to Xu Yinian, the secretary sent a message to Shen Yi, but there was no reply for a long time, so she could only keep it with her for now.

Bai Ran had just finished a transoceanic video conference for the overseas division. Her face was deathly pale from several days of jet lag and pulling all-nighters.

She certainly wouldn’t surrender what was already in her grasp for nothing.

However, when Bai Ran checked the surveillance today, she discovered that Xu Yinian—who usually spent this time reading or preparing for bed—was nowhere to be seen at her desk. All signs indicated that she hadn’t even returned yet. With such a heavy rainstorm, how could she still be outside?

Bai Ran’s breathing suddenly quickened as she opened Xu Yinian’s phone location history.

Why did she leave campus so suddenly?

Seeing that the location where she had stopped and remained until now was the Kaihua Hotel, Bai Ran knew that it was a property acquired by the Shen Group.

Today, the financial aid ceremony was being held at Kaihua.

Suddenly, something occurred to her. She dialed a number, her voice thick with a completely uncontrolled, crazed gloom:

“Look into the financial aid Xu Yinian applied for at X University, especially the one from Shen Group.”

The journey to the main residence was not long. Although it was raining heavily, fortunately, the high ground kept the area from flooding.

Following that sound, Xu Yinian followed the lead of Shen Yi’s fingertip as it lightly tapped her knee and leaned down onto the woman’s lap.

But it clearly wasn’t enough. In the next second, Shen Yi easily scooped her up, and she collapsed right onto her. The place that was already a sodden mess was suddenly jolted, and tears instantly welled in her eyes. She instinctively tried to close her legs, but only ended up clamping down on Shen Yi’s leg.

It felt so… good.

That intensifying, devouring ache actually eased slightly in this moment.

For the first time, Xu Yinian had opened the door to a new world. So… so it could be… like this.

Her involuntary sounds became even more fragmented.

Sensing what Xu Yinian was doing, Shen Yi allowed her to act without restraint. Knowing this was the result of the drug’s effects, Shen Yi—who had always valued mutual consent—disdained taking advantage of someone in a vulnerable state. But since Xu Yinian was the one initiating it, she naturally wasn’t going to stop her.
