“Is that dirty?” Su Jiuyue replied. “Drop the ‘love’ part—’like’ sounds just like ‘fuck you senseless’ if you squint at it.”
Jiang Xiaoyi mouthed it silently: “I have superpowers, I super fuck you senseless…”
???!
Su Jiuyue giggled. “But it’s all about talk that makes the other person feel good. If you can’t pull off the naughty stuff, just heap on the compliments. As long as it makes them happy, it’s fine.”
Ding—the elevator doors slid open. Jiang Xiaoyi looked up, cheeks burning with embarrassment, and locked eyes with Meng Chuning.
Standing beside Meng Chuning was a long-haired woman in professional attire. The two of them were murmuring about work matters.
Jiang Xiaoyi hurriedly hung up her call. Seeing Meng Chuning out of nowhere made her far more flustered than she’d imagined. It had been five days, and Meng Chuning looked even more beautiful—if a touch wearier around the eyes, her aura cooler and more aloof.
Meng Chuning’s gaze flickered lightly when she spotted Jiang Xiaoyi. “Xiaoyi?”
Then she turned to Director Wu beside her. “You go ahead with your work. I’ll call you if I need anything.”
Director Wu nodded. “Got it, President Meng.”
“Come with me, Xiaoyi.” Meng Chuning led her toward the office, pushing the door open to let her in. “Weren’t you supposed to rest at the hotel? Aren’t you tired after the flight?”
“Not tired at all. I got bored on my own, so I came over.” Jiang Xiaoyi accepted the warm water Meng Chuning handed her. “Sis, am I bothering you?”
Meng Chuning gazed at Jiang Xiaoyi. “No, but I’m swamped today. I might not have time to show you around.”
“You’re busy, Sis. Don’t worry about me.”
“Alright, then wait here in the office for a bit.”
“Mm.” Jiang Xiaoyi clutched her cup while Meng Chuning pored over a mountain of documents at her computer.
The office here was much smaller than the one at headquarters. Jiang Xiaoyi sat on the sofa not far from Meng Chuning’s desk, sipping her water slowly, her mind still replaying Su Jiuyue’s compliment talk.
Not sure if it’d actually work.
An hour later, during a break, Meng Chuning glanced up. “Still drinking water?”
“Yes.” Jiang Xiaoyi gushed shamelessly, “I love drinking Sis’s water. It’s the only way I can survive.”
As soon as the words left her mouth, Jiang Xiaoyi bit her lip. Was that too over-the-top?
“…” Meng Chuning touched the side of her neck, her cheeks heating up unbidden. Did Jiang Xiaoyi have any idea how much that sounded like something else?
Jiang Xiaoyi: “?”
Why was Sis’s face red? Did the compliment talk actually work?
After a few minutes of silence, Meng Chuning covered her mouth and cleared her throat. “I’ll take you to the break room.”
Once she’d poured a full glass of water and they returned, Jiang Xiaoyi stood beside Meng Chuning. “Sis, do you have to go through all these documents?”
Meng Chuning nodded. “Yeah, and there are tons more over here. A week won’t even be close to enough.”
Seizing the chance for more talk, Jiang Xiaoyi praised, “You’re amazing, Sis. You’ve been working nonstop, but your body’s still in such great shape. Still, make sure to rest—you don’t want to wear yourself out.”
Meng Chuning looked up at her, puzzled. Five days apart, and Jiang Xiaoyi seemed like a completely different person—not just chasing her all the way to B City, but with a mouth sweeter than honey.
“W-What’s wrong?” Jiang Xiaoyi asked. She didn’t think she’d said anything off.
Meng Chuning smiled faintly. “Nothing. Keep going.”
She likes hearing it?
Suddenly, a WeChat voice message popped up on Meng Chuning’s logged-in computer. She picked up her phone to answer it, and Jiang Xiaoyi’s gaze drifted inadvertently to the screen.
The profile pic of the pinned contact at the top looked familiar.
Jiang Xiaoyi blinked. No mistake—Meng Chuning had her pinned at the top.
“…” Meng Chuning ended the voice chat, closed WeChat, and explained, “I pinned you in case you messaged me on the way here. That way I could see it right away.”
That made sense.
Jiang Xiaoyi felt a little thrill at being someone’s top pin. She wondered if doing the same would make Meng Chuning happy too.
She quickly opened WeChat, fiddled with the settings, and showed her phone to Meng Chuning. “Sis, you’re my top pin now too. You’re the only one.”
Meng Chuning nearly choked on her words. “The only… one?”
It sounded a bit off when repeated.
Jiang Xiaoyi nodded anyway. “Yeah.”
“…” Meng Chuning propped her fair cheek on her hand, murmuring an “Mm” after a long pause.
Why was Sis blushing again?
Jiang Xiaoyi replayed her recent words in her head—the ones that made Sis blush.
Drinking Sis’s water… only pinning Sis…
Jiang Xiaoyi sucked in a breath.
Very dirty.
Aaaah, what had she just said?
She set her cup down in a hurry. “Sis, I need some fresh air.”
Once Jiang Xiaoyi was out, Meng Chuning’s ears turned red too.
…
Outside the office, Jiang Xiaoyi bit her tongue. Talk about lethal.
But even that level of dirty talk hadn’t cleared the task. Sis must not like this stuff.
She’d be careful next time.
“Is the designer around?” Director Wu stepped out and called. The other offices were empty.
Jiang Xiaoyi replied, “They all went for lunch, I think.”
“What do I do?” Director Wu fretted. “The poster logo needs a new cutout—the client’s waiting.”
Director Wu looked desperate, so Jiang Xiaoyi offered, “If it’s just a cutout, I can help.”
“Really?” Director Wu’s eyes lit up. “You know how?”
Jiang Xiaoyi nodded. “I’ve done it before.”
Director Wu ushered her into the office. “That’d be a huge help—thank you!”
“No problem.” Jiang Xiaoyi sat at her computer, downloaded the toolkit, opened the poster, and followed Director Wu’s instructions. In under two minutes, she’d removed the wrong logo and patched in the right one.
Director Wu gaped at her speed. “You’re incredible! Our designer’s not half as quick—I redid it half an hour ago and it was still wrong.”
“Thanks.” Jiang Xiaoyi stood, turning to see Meng Chuning at the office door. “What are you two up to?”
Director Wu jumped in. “President Meng, she’s your friend, right? Thanks to her, the new poster’s done.”
Meng Chuning looked pleasantly surprised. “Really?”
Director Wu raved, “She’s a pro. President Meng, didn’t you say you had two messed-up posters too? Maybe your friend could handle those?”
Helping Meng Chuning? Perfect.
Jiang Xiaoyi piped up, “Sis, I can do yours too—I’m really good at cutouts.”
“…” Meng Chuning spun on her heel. “Come with me.”
The office door clicked shut. Jiang Xiaoyi pulled out the swivel chair, gesturing for her to sit.
Jiang Xiaoyi obediently sat and looked up at Meng Chuning. “Sis, why is your neck so red…”
“Shut up.” Meng Chuning took a deep breath.
A System chime rang in Jiang Xiaoyi’s mind.
Ding-dong—
【Host, you’ve delivered Dirty Talk that satisfied Meng Chuning. Time to put it into action.】
Jiang Xiaoyi: 【???】
How was it done?
She hadn’t even said anything.
And what action?
“Sis, does your computer have the cutout tools installed?” Jiang Xiaoyi blinked at her in confusion.
Meng Chuning perched on the desk, facing Jiang Xiaoyi. They stared silently for a few seconds.
“Didn’t you say you’d help me…?” Meng Chuning gazed straight at her. “That you’re really good?”
“…” Jiang Xiaoyi sensed she’d caught on to something.
“Do you remember everything you’ve said since we got in here?” Meng Chuning leaned forward slightly, her pale fingertips pinching Jiang Xiaoyi’s chin. “No need for cutouts. Just… cut in…”
“…” Jiang Xiaoyi shot up, clapping a hand over Meng Chuning’s mouth to stop that word from escaping.
So that’s what the System meant—those words satisfied Sis. But how was she supposed to act on it?
Meng Chuning’s warm lips pressed against her palm. Jiang Xiaoyi eased her hand away only once she was sure Sis wouldn’t continue.
Jiang Xiaoyi swallowed hard, her chest burning like fire.
Meng Chuning settled back, a faint smile playing on her lips. “Can’t handle it?”
Jiang Xiaoyi’s thoughts still scattered— she’d said the words, yet she was the last to clock their meaning.
The office fell quiet.
Jiang Xiaoyi’s cheeks flushed. She neither agreed nor refused.
People started trickling back to the floor. Director Wu knocked. “President Meng, lunch together? That junior’s still waiting in the cafeteria for you.”
Jiang Xiaoyi glanced at Meng Chuning.
“Got it.” Meng Chuning told Jiang Xiaoyi, “I ordered food for you at the hotel. Eat up and rest well.”
With that, she followed Director Wu toward the cafeteria.
They chatted as they walked.
Director Wu said, “The junior mentioned she’s a former athlete.”
Meng Chuning humored her. “What sport?”
Director Wu: “Weightlifting. Great arm strength. What do you think, President Meng?”
Meng Chuning nodded. “Not bad.”
Director Wu’s voice faded. “So tonight, President Meng…”
Jiang Xiaoyi’s mind blanked. Why did Meng Chuning need a junior with strong arms? And what were they planning for tonight?!
Putting it together with their office talk—and that soft “wo” from Meng Chuning before Jiang Xiaoyi covered her mouth…
No way Meng Chuning was going to…
“Wait, Sis!” Jiang Xiaoyi couldn’t bear the thought. Her body moved before her brain, dashing to the elevator and blocking the doors. “Sis, I can do it.”
Director Wu blinked. “Do what?”
Meng Chuning was clearly stunned too. Once she recovered her senses, she remembered the question Jiang Xiaoyi had answered back in the office—the one she’d asked her.
“…” Meng Chuning’s fair fingertips pressed a floor button just before the elevator doors slid fully shut.
Jiang Xiaoyi clearly heard Meng Chuning say, “Go wait for me in the office. I’ll be back soon.”
Her heart pounded like thunder.
Jiang Xiaoyi stood rooted to the spot. She had actually said yes. Today had been too surreal from start to finish, with events unfolding far too quickly. Before she could even sort out her thoughts, only one idea dominated her mind: she absolutely could not let Meng Chuning do anything with that junior classmate.
Ding! The elevator doors opened again.
Still dazed in place, Jiang Xiaoyi looked up to see Meng Chuning. “Sister, why are you back?”
“Not hungry.” Meng Chuning seized her wrist and pulled her into the office, shutting the door and locking it in one smooth motion.
How could she possibly hold out until after eating and returning? What if Jiang Xiaoyi changed her mind by then?
Meng Chuning pulled an alcohol wipe from the drawer, tore the packet open, then gently wiped Jiang Xiaoyi’s fingers while holding her hand.
Jiang Xiaoyi watched her movements, a cool sensation spreading across her skin. Her long, straight lashes trembled. “Sister…”
Meng Chuning looked up at her. “Hm?”
Jiang Xiaoyi voiced the most mortifying question. “Will this make you happy, Sister?”
“…” Meng Chuning sometimes found Jiang Xiaoyi both so innocent and so direct. She nodded gently.
Jiang Xiaoyi drew in a slow breath. As long as Sister was happy, that was enough.
“Then, Sister…” Jiang Xiaoyi’s lashes fluttered downward, her face flushing uncontrollably. “Lift your skirt up to your waist.”
Meng Chuning’s entire body went rigid. She perched on the edge of the desk, hiked her skirt up with a muffled rustle, then looped her arms around Jiang Xiaoyi’s neck and whispered, “Xiaoyi, why are you being so forward and proactive today?”
Jiang Xiaoyi caught a hurried glimpse of the black lace trim beneath the skirt. She squeezed her eyes shut, recalling Su Jiuyue’s advice. “Because I want to give you whatever you desire, Sister. I just want to make you happy.”
“Is that so?” Meng Chuning heard nothing amiss in the words. So did that mean Jiang Xiaoyi had finally realized it and was the one seducing her now?
“Sister, do you have… any hand lotion?” Jiang Xiaoyi’s voice quivered as she swallowed hard.
Meng Chuning let out a soft chuckle. “No need.”
“…” Jiang Xiaoyi ducked her head, burying her scorching cheek in the crook of Meng Chuning’s shoulder and neck. Her clean fingers parted the lace and slipped inside with ease.
