Unlike their “first time” kissing, Shen Han kissed her very politely. She lightly licked and nibbled, slowly pried open her teeth, then sucked deeply.
She sucked so deeply, yet so considerately toward the other party. It felt very comfortable, as if she particularly liked her.
Su Mi felt a bit shy from the kiss and obediently tilted her head back to let her kiss.
In just a few minutes, her tongue tip withdrew from the middle. Their lips rubbed intimately against each other, their damp breaths intertwining.
Shen Han looked deeply at her once, rubbed Su Mi’s wet lip corner with her fingertip, then tried to pull away.
However, Su Mi’s fingers were still touching Shen Han’s neck ring. As they suddenly parted, she accidentally hooked the edge of the neck ring.
Shen Han was tugged along and let out a soft hum. She lowered her eyes to look at Su Mi, captured her lips, and kissed her again.
“Even with the neck ring on, I can’t withstand you pulling like that,” she teased, her eyes filled with amusement. “I just went to pick this up earlier. The production schedule was tight, so I waited there a bit.”
Su Mi quickly let go, her face heating up as she said softly, “Sorry.”
Shen Han paused, then said, “Why be so polite… I like it when you touch my gland.”
Her words had just trailed off when Su Mi tilted her face up in confusion, looking at Shen Han.
The next moment, Shen Han leaned down and bit the girl’s warm, soft cheek, leaving a shallow tooth mark. That mark was soon pressed by Shen Han’s slightly cool thumb, which rubbed it clockwise with a force that wasn’t too light or too heavy, as if trying to melt her away.
Shen Han lowered her eyes, gazing at the tooth mark, and said gently, “It feels particularly good, but I’m just afraid I’d go too far with you, and you wouldn’t be able to accept it so quickly, so I need to hold back a little.”
Su Mi felt a bit uneasy and said softly, “W-We… we’re already living together. Haven’t I accepted it fast enough?”
She was very sincere about it.
Shen Han chuckled helplessly. The deep color in her eyes didn’t fade, and her heart throbbed along with the gland at the back of her neck.
She leaned down, murmuring from her throat in a husky voice, “Mm, Baby is great.”
The cheek under her fingers instantly flushed red. Shen Han’s fingertip slid down the delicate cheek, touching the lips that had only been kissed briefly earlier. Time hadn’t been long enough, so those lips bore no marks from her—just a faint tender pink.
But her acceptance was very high. She could do whatever she wanted.
Shen Han lowered her eyes, found a suitable spot, and was about to kiss again when she heard Su Mi’s stomach growl loudly.
The sticky-sweet atmosphere that had nearly bubbled over shattered.
Shen Han turned her head away and laughed. Her shoulders visibly shook.
Su Mi flushed with annoyance and pushed at her shoulder. “I said I was hungry! Why did you have to do all that!”
She had only padded her stomach with a little food at the hospital around noon. If she played pitiful, it was almost like she hadn’t eaten anything proper all day.
Shen Han rubbed her head. “Mm, you go serve the rice first. I’ll put my things away.”
She released Su Mi, picked up the silver case beside them, and put it in the utility room.
She washed her hands in the private washroom between the living room and dining room, dried them with a cloth nearby, carefully wiping between every finger joint before tossing it into the bamboo basket.
Facing the large mirror, she adjusted the neck ring around her neck with an indifferent gaze, tightening the strap a bit more before walking out.
Su Mi was holding a white rice bowl, standing by the dining table. When she saw Shen Han come over, she hurriedly asked, “Sister, how much rice do you want?”
Shen Han walked over and naturally took the bowl. “I’ll do it myself. Aren’t you hungry? Eat first.”
Su Mi: “Hehe.”
She sat down at the dining table and looked at the colorful, aromatic dishes on the table. She couldn’t help swallowing.
Her chopsticks zeroed in precisely on the sweet-and-sour ribs and happily shoved one into her mouth.
Wow! So good!
It had been so long since she’d eaten Mama Zhang’s cooking. Suddenly tasting it again, Su Mi felt tears welling up.
It made Shen Han across from her want to laugh again.
Su Mi had just used a rib to scoop up a big mouthful of rice when she heard a half-laughing, half-mocking hum from across the table. She lifted her eyes indignantly, trying to intimidate Shen Han with her powerful gaze.
But she forgot her puffed cheeks, still chewing the delicious food. She could only furrow her brows fiercely, lifting her round eyes in a show of defiance.
Shen Han set down her spoon, laughing so hard she held her forehead. After a moment, she said, “As long as you like it. Mama Zhang will come make food every day from now on. Add her contact, and tell her whatever dishes you like. She can make anything.”
Su Mi swallowed her food with a muffled sound and said okay.
Shen Han propped her cheek, watching Su Mi eat. She herself slowly drank a bowl of soup before scooping half a fist’s worth of rice.
She never had much appetite for dinner. Whatever Su Mi picked up, she followed suit, putting the same dish into her mouth in sync with Su Mi’s movements.
After one round like that, Su Mi naturally noticed.
“…” Su Mi coughed lightly, blushing a bit, and couldn’t help asking, “Can’t you pick your own food?”
Shen Han’s eyes held a smile. “Feels like yours tastes better.”
Su Mi blurted out subconsciously, “It’s impossible when eating…”
She stopped midway, realizing she’d thought crooked.
Because across from her, Shen Han’s smile turned teasingly intimate. “If you want to, I wouldn’t mind.”
Su Mi angrily lifted her leg and kicked Shen Han’s calf. “Don’t talk when eating!”
This time, she was the one who said it first.
Mama Zhang had made three dishes and a soup, luckily not too much of each. Otherwise, the two of them would eat till the end of time and still not finish.
Su Mi finished the rice she’d scooped and only then realized that because she’d been too hungry, she’d eaten too fast in one go.
She didn’t want to take digestive pills on her first day moving in!
Su Mi bravely leaned back in her chair, her hand sneaking to her stomach to rub it secretly.
Mindful of the Alpha in front of her, she didn’t dare make a sound.
Shen Han took her bowl and chopsticks to the kitchen, set the dishwasher timer, and when she came back out, her sharp eyes still caught Su Mi’s movement.
So before Su Mi could react, in her post-meal daze, she suddenly noticed a familiar cool, crisp scent approaching.
She turned her dazed eyes and saw Shen Han squatting beside her, eyes narrowed slightly, the corners upturned in a way that screamed ulterior motives. “Want me to?”
“…”
Alarms blared in Su Mi’s mind. She looked down at the hand now resting on the back of hers—long fingers with neatly trimmed, rounded tips and subtly protruding knuckles. She subconsciously swallowed.
A full belly leads to lustful thoughts.
Su Mi’s mind raced. On one hand, she knew her defenses against Shen Han were zero—if those hands really touched her, would she half-heartedly agree to something improper?
On the other, maybe the susceptible period wasn’t fully over. She wasn’t sore or weak-legged anymore, but looking at Shen Han’s hands, Su Mi inexplicably thought of other places.
Th-This was only the second day! And she’d said they’d try it out? Would that resolution not even last till tomorrow?
Su Mi removed Shen Han’s hand from hers, stammering, “I think… how about we set some ground rules?”
Shen Han: “Mm?”
Su Mi: “To prevent getting carried away… we need a daily limit. Once we exceed it, no more getting close… intimate.”
Otherwise, they’d probably stick together all day.
Shen Han pursed her lips, looking disappointed. “What kind of limit?”
Su Mi racked her brains. “Like three times… yeah, three times. One in the hospital room today, two at the entryway earlier. That’s enough.”
As she spoke, Su Mi braced against the table and stood up, trying hard to ignore her flushed face. “That’s it.”
Shen Han: “But we only seriously kissed once at the entryway. Does brushing lips count as one?”
Su Mi stubbornly held her ground. “…I say it counts, it counts.”
Utterly unreasonable.
But Shen Han lowered her eyes, who knew what she was thinking, and agreed.
Su Mi breathed a sigh of relief, then remembered there was still proper business. She pointed inside.
“I’ll go ahead and study then? Haven’t finished prepping for tomorrow afternoon’s class.”
Shen Han nodded. “Go on. I’ll probably be in the study later. If you need anything, just push the door open. Come find me before bed.”
Su Mi’s face, which had finally calmed, suddenly flushed even deeper. She asked in shock she couldn’t hide, “Why?”
Shen Han: “…”
She apparently hadn’t expected Su Mi to misunderstand this too. Shen Han paused meaningfully for a moment.
As Su Mi grew more tense, Shen Han slowly said, “Your mental power.”
“…” Su Mi laughed awkwardly. “Oh, haha.”
Su Mi felt ashamed of her own mind.
Shen Han wasn’t someone who thought about that stuff all day. She was the one who always thought crooked.
Su Mi mentally scolded herself harshly, slipped back to her room, and continued prepping for tomorrow’s classes.
Freshman courses weren’t too numerous or difficult, but Su Mi wanted to delve deep into her major, so she needed good grades from the start. Thus, she worked hard.
She didn’t fuss over her study environment. Even on her first day in this room, it wasn’t long before she forgot her earlier mood and studied seriously.
The professor had recommended some optional extracurricular books. After finishing her prep, Su Mi saw it was still some time before her usual 11 p.m. bedtime. She picked an interesting science popularization book to read.
Until the door was lightly knocked on.
“Su Mi.” Shen Han’s voice, clear as mountain spring water, came through the wooden door. But the soundproofing was too good, so by the time it reached Su Mi, it wasn’t very clear.
Su Mi didn’t hear. So the door opened, and light from outside poured in, finally catching her attention.
She lifted her head from the light screen and turned to look, nearly freezing.
Shen Han had already finished showering and changed into a deep blue silk nightgown that clung to her body. The light poured from behind her, falling into Su Mi’s eyes—it made the pale skin exposed at her shoulders and neck seem to glow.
The neck ring around her neck seemed to be a different style, thinner, with a glint at the front of her throat, like a star pendant.
Just like their first meeting, her thick, semi-wet long hair was swept to one side, framing her exquisite, aloof features, as if she didn’t care whether anyone gazed at her or not.
At their first meeting, that gaze had only brushed faintly over her. Back then, only Su Mi had nearly drowned in that icy mist.
But now, Shen Han only looked at her, gazing intently for a moment before chuckling lightly. “Studied yourself silly? Why not turn on more lights inside.”
“Or want to do it another day? How about going to sleep with Sister first?”
Su Mi hurriedly cast aside her stray thoughts. “Coming right now.”
Shen Han led her to the study first.
There was a sofa in the study, styled like a luohan bed against the wall. Shen Han had her sit, then turned to play some gentle classical music.
Su Mi’s gaze followed her, feeling even more like it was that first day they’d met.
Her heart swayed full, carrying some indescribable emotion.
When Shen Han came over, Su Mi followed her instructions and closed her eyes first.
Shen Han seemed to have studied seriously how to guide out mental power. She spoke unhurriedly, guiding words that had Su Mi imagine along with her.
Then, Su Mi’s face was cupped, and their foreheads touched at the center.
Shen Han’s breath was light, carrying her unique cool scent. She patiently guided, teaching Su Mi how to draw out the latent mental power.
But Su Mi couldn’t help it—her thoughts drifted because of Shen Han’s closeness, brushing against those semi-dry strands of hair. With Shen Han’s movements, the tips swayed like a cat’s tail, lightly brushing Su Mi’s cheeks and the hollow of her neck.
The person in front of her paused slightly, noticed the oversight, and quickly tucked the hair behind her ear.
The sensation vanished.
Yet it didn’t fully vanish, like a haughty cat passing by. Though just passing, its raised tail deliberately swished across your calf.
The tingling itch spread through her body, impossible to dispel.
Shen Han was helpless and said softly, “Focus a bit.”
Su Mi: “…Mm.”
She followed Shen Han’s words to concentrate. She didn’t know how much time passed, but suddenly her thoughts converged.
It felt like something not her own existed at her forehead.
Like her forehead had suddenly been poked through by something, scalding hot for an instant, then quickly itching, as if some ethereal thing had broken through the soil, urgently needing something.
And the other person’s forehead pressed to hers was cool as cold stone—the perfect antidote, almost like it was tailor-made for her.
Su Mi couldn’t help leaning closer, her consciousness gathering at her forehead too. Her head rubbed chaotically against it, her body tilting forward, craving more of the other’s abundant energy.
The place with more energy surprisingly indulged her as well, letting her tug at its shoulders and rub against it freely.
Until Su Mi felt that the unspeakable spot between her brows seemed to have absorbed enough energy.
The forehead she touched was dodged by the other person.
Su Mi opened her eyes, still unsatisfied. She murmured dazedly, “I want more…”
Her nose tip twitched slightly. Su Mi caught the cold fragrance she loved most emanating from the person before her. Her mind hadn’t caught up yet, but her body leaned forward first.
She wanted to kiss it with her mouth, rub against it, smear her own scent all over it, and sneakily rub off some of that cold fragrance.
Her hazy, unfocused gaze locked onto those two lips. She was just about to kiss them.
Before she could, a slender finger suddenly pressed against her mouth, refusing to yield.
Su Mi blinked, then opened her eyes wide, trying to focus seriously.
Shen Han half-reclined against the sofa back, pushed backward by her puppy-like nuzzling. Her long hair draped behind her head, her beautiful jawline tilted up as she stared at Su Mi’s lips with a half-smile that wasn’t quite a smile.
She was clearly aroused beyond measure. Her other hand pressed against the neck ring around her neck, but she still remembered what the little dog had said after dinner.
So she acted utterly indifferent to whether they kissed or not. Right in front of Su Mi, she licked her own thin lips—the ones Su Mi was staring at—and slowly curled the corner of her mouth upward.
A glistening sheen appeared. Su Mi, right in front of her, instinctively darted her tongue out to lick her own lips.
But she ended up licking Shen Han’s fingertip instead.
The little dog’s tongue tip jerked back as if startled. Then the finger pressing against her lips shifted to rubbing and pinching.
Shen Han’s voice came out slightly hoarse as she asked languidly, “Didn’t you say three times a day?”
