Epilogue 7: Jin Can’s Story (End)
The curtains fluttered, and a gentle breeze blew in.
The bright morning light leaped on the young woman’s beautiful face, full of vigorous life.
She looked to be in her early twenties, and her long, brilliant-gold hair was clustered on her fair and full cheeks, and her lips were pink and moist, and her round eyes were clear and cute.
Very much like a Golden Retriever.
“Can…”
A woman’s weak voice suddenly sounded from behind.
Jiejie is awake!
Jin Can’s puppy-dog eyes suddenly lit up.
In her joy, two long, golden-haired, fluffy ears “swooshed” out from the top of her head.
She turned and ran toward the hospital bed, and her soft and limp, fluffy ears bounced with her.
The woman on the hospital bed was extremely beautiful, with an excellent bone structure.
Her frail illness could not hide her otherworldly beauty in the slightest, and when her thick, crow-like lashes trembled lightly, there was an unspeakable charm.
She must have been in a deep dream, for her chest was rising and falling, and the corners of her eyes were filled with a damp, sickly red.
Jin Can managed to brake.
So Jiejie wasn’t awake… it was just a sleep-talk.
With this thought, the little dog’s steps immediately became light and slow, and she slowly came to the edge of the hospital bed.
She lay half on the side of the pillow and, with her tongue, she soothingly licked the back of the woman’s hand. The blue veins spread under the pale and thin skin, and she traced them inch by inch.
After she had finished, she looked at her Jiejie’s sleeping face without a moment’s pause, and she could not get enough of looking at her.
Even the slightest movement of the tips of her lashes was extremely rare to the little dog, and she was afraid of missing a single moment.
Chi Yu was in a deep sleep.
Her dreams were floating, and fragments of her unremarkable life were scattered in them—
“You are Chi Yu, the ‘Yu’ for overstepping, and you live in the nanny’s building.”
“My name is Chi Yu, the ‘Yu’ for beautiful jade, and I was raised in the main residence.”
“Jiejie, we are clearly twins. Why are our lives so different?”
The girl, who looked similar to her, was in brocade clothes, and her cheeks were rosy, and she was showing off with a smug air.
Chi Yu was silent, her pale features as usual.
A cool breeze blew in from the wide-open door, and she pursed her lips and coughed lightly twice, and a sickly, thin mist appeared in her eyes.
Seeing that she did not speak, Chi Yu answered her own question.
“Actually, I secretly overheard something yesterday.”
“It turns out that before we were born, a master had done a divination and had said that one of the twins was a phoenix and the other was evil, and that the weaker one would seize the Chi family’s fortune. So, your birth was a transgression to the Chi family…”
Having been stained with a lot of filth, people seemed to become more and more superstitious.
The Chi family had previously committed a heinous crime for money, and in their guilt, they were even wary of the child who was about to be born.
And so, it was clearly just that the fetuses had been unevenly competing for nutrients in the womb. But after birth, the weaker one had been seen as an unlucky sign that “seized the fortune.”
Absurd and pitiful.
After hearing this, Chi Yu’s features were still peaceful.
Chi Yu’s brow furrowed.
Jiejie was always so gentle that she seemed to be able to tolerate everything. Or rather, she did not seem to care much about anything.
Before, no matter how she had been scorned by everyone in the family, she had never shown a single bit of annoyance, and had been as meek as a trapped beast that felt no pain.
Chi Yu both hated her Jiejie for not knowing how to struggle, and also hated her Jiejie’s body, which was full of an undisturbed freedom, and was like an elusive, lonely wind.
She hated her Jiejie’s stingy expressions the most. She was willing to curl her lips for a plain little flower or a blade of grass on the roadside, and was willing to curve her eyes for the words in a book, but she would never smile for herself.
Chi Yu was so angry that she gritted her teeth and cursed her, “You sickly person!”
Chi Yu was silent.
She continued to lower her head and read seriously, and no longer paid any attention.
…
The dream was chaotic, and the scene suddenly changed.
“How dare you use this same face to flirt with Little Yu and cause her trouble?”
“Don’t forget your name. Don’t overstep your bounds.”
A blunt knife cut her face, and her heart ached.
Chi Yu’s lashes fluttered, and she pursed her lips and did not make a sound, and her slender and weak neck seemed as if it were about to break at any moment.
The so-called flirting was just that she could not bear the girl’s apprehensive gaze and had accepted a love letter.
“To have exchanged this face for a little bit of shallow affection, and you are so grateful…”
“That’s right. After all, no one loves you.”
That person walked away with a big stride.
Chi Yu stood in front of a mirror and watched as the fresh blood flowed down her pale cheeks, a terrifying sight.
…
The scene changed again.
On the day she came of age, the head of the Chi family had said:
“The Chi family has raised you until you are eighteen, and we have done all we can. you can leave in a little while. Don’t even think of getting a share of the property, and you are not allowed to get close to Little Yu.”
As always, Chi Yu answered with a calm, indifferent air.
She had not had much luggage, and after she had packed, she had gone out to look for a place to live.
The generous prize money she had won in a competition at school was enough for her to live for a while.
On the way, people would always size up the terrible scar on her face and then, trying to cover it up, would quickly look away.
The landlord she had contacted had come to show her the apartment, and the moment he had seen her face, he had begun to find all sorts of excuses to refuse to rent to her.
Night fell.
Chi Yu stood by the side of a deserted road, her thin and slender figure melting into the deep blackness.
“Ying… ying…”
A pitiful and weak cry of a puppy cub suddenly came from nearby.
…
Chi Yu’s eyes suddenly flew open.
Her breathing was rapid, her gaze scattered.
“Jiejie, you’re awake!”
A light voice brushed past her ear, like the first ray of the morning sun in spring.
Chi Yu’s heart stirred, and her eyes slowly focused.
A gentle breeze fluttered the curtains, bringing in the flickering light of the day.
Chi Yu turned her head and saw a young woman lying by the bed, a pair of long, golden-haired, fluffy puppy ears on top of her head.
Her round, puppy-dog eyes were completely filled with her, as if there were no room for anything else.
She lowered her head and enthusiastically began to lick her own fingertips and the spaces between her fingers. Soon, they were wet, and a damp, warm, and hot itch arose.
As she licked, she also repeatedly and with affection murmured, “Jiejie, Jiejie…”
Even though she was already so close, she was still fervently missing her.
A little dog does not know restraint.
If too much food is put out, a little dog will not sense in time that it is full, but will choose to continue to eat everything in the bowl until nothing is left.
A little dog’s love is also like this.
Wagging her tail desperately, her heart and eyes are full of her, and she follows closely. Her love is clearly overflowing, but it is still not enough. She has to stare at her master without a moment’s pause when she is sleeping, and she has to repeatedly lick and feel her master’s scent with her tongue.
And Chi Yu was thus, without restraint, and fervently and excessively loved by Jin Can.
She thus redefined the “Yu” in her name.
It was just right. Any less, and it would not be enough.
All the gloom brought by the dream finally dissipated, leaving only a heart full of softness.
Chi Yu’s lashes drooped slightly, and she watched as the young woman’s gaze was intoxicated, and she enthusiastically licked her own hand wet.
It had been like this for two months. She should have been getting used to it, but she was just more and more shy.
At this moment, the numbness and itch between her fingers shot up like an electric current and spread to her chest.
Her heart tightened, and Chi Yu’s breath was unsteady when she spoke.
“Can… Can Can… Jiejie wants to go and wash up first.”
Jin Can blinked her puppy-dog eyes and meekly nodded her head.
“I’ll carry Jiejie over.”
The young woman, who had transformed from a little dog, was full of energy and spirit.
She bent down and reached out her hand, and with a light and easy movement, she picked up the sickly and thin woman from the bed.
Chi Yu’s hand subconsciously hooked around Jin Can’s neck, and she smelled the warm and fresh scent of a puppy on her.
She unconsciously looked at that pair of little dog’s furry ears. They were on top of her head, and they bounced with her every step, and they were extremely cute.
She couldn’t help but raise a hand and lightly pinch her ears, and the pads of her fingers brushed against the soft and glutinous fur.
“Can Can.”
The woman’s voice was gentle.
“Mhm?”
Jin Can’s steps paused, and she turned her head to look at her Jiejie seriously, and waited for her to speak.
“I’ve always wanted to ask…”
Chi Yu hooked her arm around the young woman’s neck, and her light pink lips moved close to the fluffy ear on top of the little dog’s head.
“Do you usually use this little dog ear to listen to Jiejie…”
Her lips moved down and came to the side of her rounded human ear. “Or this one?”
Her features were serious, and she was just simply curious about this question.
But as she moved, her lips, almost imperceptibly, touched the little dog’s ear.
And so, Jin Can’s heart immediately began to pound with a fervent heat.
Her puppy-dog eyes closed innocently, and she said, direct and pure, “I… I don’t know either.”
“I only know that every time I look at Jiejie, my heart pounds so hard that it gets hot, and then two little dog ears will automatically pop out from the top of my head.”
Chi Yu’s breath was ragged at the words.
She saw that the young woman’s human ears were visibly turning red, and she looked extremely pitiful.
She bit her lip and said softly, a little shy, “Let’s go and wash up first.”
“Mhm.”
The little dog meekly answered.
Walking to the sink, Jin Can carefully put Chi Yu down.
Jiejie’s body was weak, and she had just woken up, and her legs were so weak she could not stand steady.
She raised her hand with a practiced ease and, from behind, held the woman’s slender and soft waist tightly, as a support.
As she moved, the fabric rustled, and their bodies were inevitably pressed closely together.
Through the thin clothes, she could clearly feel the other’s body temperature.
The young woman’s body was truly warm and hot, and pressed against her from behind, it was so hot that for a moment, Chi Yu’s body was numb.
She secretly suppressed the feeling, squeezed out some toothpaste, and began to slowly brush her teeth.
She unintentionally looked up and saw that the young woman was staring at her through the mirror without a moment’s pause, as if she were looking at some peerless treasure.
Her heart skipped a beat.
Jin Can, from behind, held her in a tight embrace, and her fluffy head nuzzled her hair, and her eyes were sparkling with stars.
“Jiejie, you’re so cute when you’re brushing your teeth…”
“Your skin is so white, and your eyes are a little red when you’ve just woken up, and the toothbrush is puffed up in your cheek, and you look like a little rabbit.”
Chi Yu’s lashes trembled slightly, and her cheeks were immediately filled with a shy flush.
She continued to seriously finish brushing her teeth, and then she suddenly couldn’t help but ask:
“Does Can Can like little rabbits?”
Jin Can said as if it were a matter of course, “I like Jiejie.”
In that instant, Chi Yu clearly felt a sudden itch at the tip of her heart, as if it had been scratched by a puppy’s fluff.
A certain unspeakable pleasure overflowed.
She did not speak and turned on the faucet again and began to wash her face.
Finally, after her Jiejie had finished tidying herself up, Jin Can stared at her.
“Can I lick you now?”
Chi Yu’s lashes trembled slightly. “Mhm.”
This little dog had loved to lick her since she was little.
If she didn’t let her lick just because she was in her human form, it would surely hurt the little dog’s heart. So Chi Yu never refused and would allow the little dog to lick her after she had cleaned herself.
…But, was it really just that she was afraid of hurting the little dog?
As her thoughts scattered, the little dog had already enthusiastically and happily come over.
She carefully pressed her against the bathroom wall and started with her fair and rounded earlobe.
Her wet tongue was soft and hot, and it licked a trail of damp moisture, like a mark.
Chi Yu’s breath trembled, and her eyes gradually filled with a weak and soft mist.
She lowered her eyes and saw that the young woman was looking up and licking her own chin, and her cute puppy-dog eyes were staring at her.
As if she were the only thing in the world.
As if she could never love her enough.
The little dog licked her earlobe, her chin, her neck… lingering everywhere, and she was mesmerized as she sniffed and felt her scent.
Chi Yu’s sickly body began to tremble lightly, and in her rapid breathing, she actually and suddenly felt a certain dampness spread.
Her heart tightened, and a helpless panic arose.
The young woman, after tasting her neck, licked her reddened eye corners and the tip of her nose.
Then she lingered at the edge of her lips, restless.
This was not the first time.
Chi Yu panted lightly and tilted her head back, and raised a hand to stroke the little Golden Retriever’s head, and as usual, she trembled and murmured:
“Be good, you can’t lick anymore…”
The puppy was very good, and in the past, she would always obediently stop.
But at this moment, the meek little Golden Retriever lowered her eyes to look at her beloved master before her, and the thought of not wanting to listen arose in her heart for the umpteenth time.
Her pure puppy-dog eyes narrowed slightly, and she looked at the woman’s misty eyes, and her usually sickly and pale lips were flushed a magnificent, light red, and as she panted lightly, they opened and closed, and she was full of charm.
Her throat felt dry, and a little dog’s tail silently slipped out from behind her.
In the midst of the surging and almost boiling heat in her heart, the little dog who did not know restraint finally and uncontrollably lowered her head and enthusiastically licked the woman’s soft lips.
The surface of her lips, the corners of her lips, the seam of her lips…
Every place that could be tasted, she traced and sketched with the tip of her tongue, and in the clear and subtle floral scent, she was mesmerized, and her tail behind her was wagging with excitement.
The moment she was kissed, Chi Yu’s pupils constricted.
She was too sickly, and she was also already limp from being licked, so at this moment, she had no strength to push her away.
She could only be weakly and helplessly pressed against the wall, and feel her lips being wantonly tasted, and feel the little dog’s vigorous and fervent love completely surrounding her.
Her very soul trembled.
After a moment, Chi Yu sensed that the little dog was, without a teacher, licking at the seam of her lips, and then she touched her closed teeth. The young woman was so anxious that she was quite pitiful, and a puppy-like whimper was constantly coming from her throat.
She was so soft-hearted at the sound that she actually took the initiative to open her lips and indulgently accepted the other.
Once she was let in, Jin Can immediately and enthusiastically entered.
“Jiejie…”
She closed her eyes and, mesmerized, licked her Jiejie’s soft tongue, and gently and fervently drew out a clear sweetness.
Chi Yu’s pale cheeks were gradually covered in a moist red, and she was so kissed that she was a little out of breath, and a faint whimper escaped her throat.
“Mmm…”
Vaguely sensing that her Jiejie’s body could not take it, Jin Can’s intoxicated mind returned, and she slowly stopped.
Their lips parted, and an ambiguous and crystalline thread was drawn.
The little dog, still wanting more, gently licked the moisture that had spilled from her Jiejie’s lips.
“Jiejie, can I lick you like this next time?”
She opened her puppy-dog eyes, so mesmerized that she was dizzy.
“So sweet.”
Chi Yu hooked her arm around the young woman’s neck and panted for a long while before she managed to catch her breath.
—”That’s right. After all, no one loves you.”
The once undeniable, curse-like words suddenly rang in her mind.
She looked up at the young woman, and her voice was hoarse when she spoke, and she asked again, as she had asked the little rabbit:
“…Do you like the sweetness?”
The little dog shook her head, as sincere as ever, and laid her heart bare without any reservation.
“I like Jiejie.”
Chi Yu pursed her lips, which had been licked until they were bright red.
Her shimmering eyes were half-closed, and she raised a hand to stroke the young woman’s head, and murmured in a gentle voice:
“Good dog, lick Jiejie again.”
