Carol placed one hand on Kailun’s lower abdomen and the other over his mouth, silencing him.
“Don’t get excited, and don’t move. If anyone sees you like this, your image will be ruined.”
A blush spread across Carol’s fair skin, her brows slightly furrowed as if she were enduring something.
Although she tried to hide it, Kailun could sense her nervousness.

Kailun raised an eyebrow, signaling his surrender. Carol, seeing his signal, released his mouth.
“That’s a tactic that hurts both of us. It seems you and Afra are both very concerned about this matter. But I don’t want to damage these delicate flowers with freezing magic. You’re lucky this time.” Kailun snorted and glared at Carol.
That’s not how magic was supposed to be used. He expressed his strong disapproval.
He understood why Carol and Afra were so sensitive about this. If it were him, he would probably be even more concerned.
Being his “left and right hands” but having far less combat power than the others was something their pride couldn’t tolerate.
