The next day, Luo Qingmeng tidied up that suit. She got up feeling heartbroken over it—the buttons had all been torn off. She figured she’d have to do some sewing, or maybe find a place to get it repaired.
Qiu Shuxue hugged her waist from behind and rubbed her cheek against Luo Qingmeng’s. Sunlight streamed in from the window and reflected off the mirror, glaring brightly. She nuzzled like that for a few minutes before fetching a new suit for Luo Qingmeng to wear.
It was so hot in the summer, and she’d only worn the suit yesterday because of a meeting. Luo Qingmeng didn’t really want to put it on. She set the suit aside and gently nudged Qiu Shuxue with her elbow. “It’s too hot.”
“Then wear it when you get home tonight?”
Luo Qingmeng ignored her and went to brush her teeth and wash her face. The robot vacuum at home had reached its scheduled working time and was roaming around the living room. Qiu Shuxue had cleaned so thoroughly the day before that it didn’t really need to do anything today.
When the robot vacuum rolled over, Luo Qingmeng called out to Qiu Shuxue, who was still in the dressing room. “Floor-Wiping Little Snow, aren’t you going to work? Watch out, or I’ll fire you.”
“I’m coming.”
Qiu Shuxue emerged from the dressing room. Luo Qingmeng leaned over the sink and spat out the water from her mouth. After rinsing away the toothpaste foam, she wanted to yell at Qiu Shuxue to hurry up and stop dawdling—they were running so late today.
She glanced sideways and saw that Qiu Shuxue was dressed in a black suit, with a low-V thin blouse underneath that revealed a tantalizing line of cleavage. Her chest looked dazzlingly white when viewed from above.
Qiu Shuxue walked over to her side. She checked herself in the mirror, slipped on a pair of half-rim silver-framed glasses, and let her hair cascade around her neck. Her fingers lightly pushed up the bridge of the frames.
Luo Qingmeng felt like she was back at the beginning, when Qiu Shuxue had first seduced her. She didn’t dare look, yet she couldn’t stop wanting to steal glances at her every moment.
Qiu Shuxue said softly, “How do I look, sis?”
Luo Qingmeng didn’t know how to describe it. “Go brush your teeth and wash your face.”
Qiu Shuxue obediently took off the glasses and returned to her usual appearance. She brushed her teeth and washed her face, and Luo Qingmeng immediately averted her gaze. Coming back to her senses, she realized her heart had pounded heavily just moments before.
Qiu Shuxue even used her skincare products. Once her skin had fully absorbed them and her hair was slightly damp, she ran her fingers through it, combing it back from her forehead to reveal her exquisite features. It gave her an aggressive edge.
Luo Qingmeng looked away, intending to grab her bag and head out to work. Qiu Shuxue reached out to block her. Luo Qingmeng called to her, “Hurry up and get ready for work. Are you eating breakfast or not?”
Her eyes couldn’t help but flick over for another glance.
Luo Qingmeng thought she looked stunning like this—sexy and sultry.
Qiu Shuxue’s eyes smiled behind her glasses. In a soft voice, she asked, “Do I look good?”
Luo Qingmeng stared at her. If this had been before they’d gotten together, Qiu Shuxue definitely would have said it with her head bowed.
“Then do me.”
Luo Qingmeng hesitated for a moment before nodding. Qiu Shuxue continued, “…Does it give off that sophisticated scoundrel, abstinent little dog vibe? Hmm?”
Her eyes blinked expectantly.
Of course it did—the formal suit, the sexiness, combined with her obedient yet mischievous personality. She looked breathtaking in it.
Luo Qingmeng knew that if she said too much, Qiu Shuxue would get all excited, and neither of them would make it to work that morning.
Luo Qingmeng turned her aside and left the bathroom first to grab her bag. With her back to Qiu Shuxue, she murmured, “Why the glasses?”
Qiu Shuxue followed her out. “I’ve always been a little nearsighted. Back then, I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to see you clearly, so I wore them a few times on purpose.”
Luo Qingmeng let out an “oh.” She walked to the entryway. She was dressed casually and coolly today, in athleisure wear. She just needed to slip on her sneakers. The fitted clothes accentuated her full figure.
Qiu Shuxue often told her not to hide her flaws in clothing—her large chest was an asset, and she should show it off. The mint-colored outfit was cropped on top, and as she bent down to tie her shoelaces, a strip of pale skin appeared at her waist.
She felt a hand touch her lower back, fingers sliding over it. Luo Qingmeng pretended not to notice.
She straightened up after changing her shoes, but before she could react, Qiu Shuxue pressed forward aggressively. Her chest pressed against the door, a slight ache blooming there. She let out a muffled grunt and asked the person behind her, “What are you doing?”
Qiu Shuxue backed off a little. Luo Qingmeng braced her hands against the door to put some distance between herself and it. She reached for the doorknob to open it, but Qiu Shuxue’s hand covered hers. She gave it a light pinch, her breath falling on Luo Qingmeng’s ear as she said, “Sis, seeing me dressed like this—aren’t you scared? Don’t you feel a sense of crisis?”
Luo Qingmeng collided intimately with the door again. She felt like all her efforts at educating Qiu Shuxue had been for nothing—the girl had healed her scars and forgotten the pain.
It was completely useless.
In fact, after thinking it over all night, Luo Qingmeng decided she could turn the tables and punish her instead.
This girl was really…
Luo Qingmeng’s lips parted slightly, about to say something, when Qiu Shuxue took her earlobe into her mouth. She blew a cool, minty breath that tickled her ear.
Qiu Shuxue turned her around. Luo Qingmeng shot her a sideways glance, but Qiu Shuxue pinched her chin, adjusting her position so she’d look at her properly. Qiu Shuxue’s fingers hooked into her own collar and slid downward, her voice low and seductive as she coaxed Luo Qingmeng with that shameful pet name: “Quick, help me check my body. See if I’ve grown up yet.”
Luo Qingmeng gritted her teeth seriously and said sternly, “Are you sick again?”
She kept having these indirect bouts of craziness. Qiu Shuxue bumped lightly against her. “Yeah, so hurry up and check me.”
Resistance was futile, so Luo Qingmeng followed her lead. Her gaze followed Qiu Shuxue’s fingers as they parted her own collar. Luo Qingmeng leaned down and kissed her there. “No illness.”
Qiu Shuxue still looked at her.
Luo Qingmeng took a deep breath, then bit down hard, leaving a clear tooth mark. Qiu Shuxue winced in pain and said, “There… you’ve given me my rabies shot. No more going rabid.”
“Okay.”
Qiu Shuxue leaned down and kissed her on the mouth.
Luo Qingmeng let her kiss her—she was helpless against her. She gently cradled her head, patted her shoulder, and said, “All right, you’re not sick anymore. You’re good.”
Qiu Shuxue hummed in agreement, then asked, “So, have I grown up?”
Luo Qingmeng closed her eyes and replied, “Yes, you’ve grown.”
Then Qiu Shuxue opened the door and asked once more, “Do you like the grown-up me?”
Such a chatterbox. Luo Qingmeng stepped outside and took a deep breath. At the same time, something occurred to her—Qiu Shuxue used to have a tattoo.
But now she didn’t.
Luo Qingmeng clearly remembered that Qiu Shuxue had once had a tattoo. Back then, before they’d broken up, Qiu Shuxue had stayed over at Li An’s place. The two of them shared a room, and after Qiu Shuxue showered, her collar was open especially low.
Luo Qingmeng had caught a glimpse of the tattoo on her chest and curiously stared at it for a couple extra seconds. When she noticed Qiu Shuxue watching her, she quickly looked away. That night, as they lay in bed, Luo Qingmeng faced away from her. Qiu Shuxue’s finger tapped lightly on her shoulder—gentle movements, like a shy child hesitant to speak to an adult.
Qiu Shuxue pressed close, her voice falling on the back of Luo Qingmeng’s neck. “Sis, do you want to see my tattoo?”
She remembered that the tattoo was nestled into her chest, so seeing it would require taking off her sleepwear.
Luo Qingmeng hadn’t had the nerve to look, so she didn’t respond.
Qiu Shuxue said it a few times. “Do you think girls with tattoos are bad?”
Then she muttered to herself, “Sis, I’m not bad. I just want to chat with you, share some girl secrets.”
Luo Qingmeng didn’t think she was bad. Her voice sounded so pitiful that Luo Qingmeng comforted her, saying a tattoo was her personal freedom and nothing to worry about. She was a bit timid herself and only spoke with her back turned.
Later, she never saw the tattoo again, and now she couldn’t even remember what it had been…
It couldn’t have been her name, could it?
A jolt shot through her mind.
If she’d looked back then… that night…
What would have happened? Would she have been seduced, or forced?
So dangerous.
They reached the underground garage. Luo Qingmeng reminded herself they both had to go to work and forced the thoughts from her mind.
The two got into their respective cars. Luo Qingmeng was afraid she’d go wild on the road, so she rolled down her window and shouted, “Don’t do anything crazy on the drive. Drive safely and pay attention. Got it?”
Qiu Shuxue turned her head to look at her. She didn’t speak, but her eyes sparkled with amusement behind her glasses, her red lips curving into an enigmatic, dangerous smile.
Quiet, refined…
But knowing what she’d done, it also felt a bit insane.
Then her mouth moved silently, mouthing words at her.
Luo Qingmeng pursed her lips. She understood—Qiu Shuxue was saying, “I’m your little dog.” Luo Qingmeng clenched her teeth hard. Her gaze lingered fiercely on Qiu Shuxue’s chest one last time; the tooth mark wasn’t well hidden. She ignored her, drove off, and didn’t look back.
Qiu Shuxue headed to work later than usual. She wasn’t carrying a lunchbox. Xiao Ninghe had just come out of the manager’s office and couldn’t help tutting when she saw her outfit. “There’s no meeting or big event today. Why dress like that…?”
Qiu Shuxue said, “Sis told me to. She said she likes it this way.”
She leaned back in her chair, brazenly displaying her sexiness. The part usually hidden by the suit faintly revealed a tooth mark.
Xiao Ninghe said, “…You two have some pretty kinky tastes.”
Qiu Shuxue’s phone pinged with a message first.
【Put your clothes on properly. Don’t let anyone see.】
Qiu Shuxue bit her lip and tugged her thin blouse closed in the middle. She started texting Luo Qingmeng back: 【Sis, we really need to buy a place and move out soon. I want to drive you to work.】
Luo Qingmeng didn’t reply.
She sent another photo over.
Luo Qingmeng had actually seen the message, but she was busy taking inventory of the books that morning. Plus, she figured Qiu Shuxue should be working too, so she held back from responding.
She also wanted to finish up her work before comparing that video again. She kept feeling like the tattoo in the previous photo didn’t quite match the one she’d seen that night.
She wanted to know if Qiu Shuxue had gotten a tattoo related to her.
If so… that would be way too blatant.
Since Luo Qingmeng wasn’t replying, Qiu Shuxue got smug for just a little while. Soon, Xiao Ninghe noticed that Qiu Shuxue was calling her whenever she had a free moment, always saying she was sorry to her sister and that she’d been wrong.
Xiao Ninghe wondered if they’d already had a fight so quickly. Lovers’ faces really did change faster than flipping the pages of a book.
Then she watched as Qiu Shuxue switched her phone to video mode. “Look, I’m still wearing your mark. Be good now?”
“…”
The video call ended abruptly on the other side. Qiu Shuxue closed the dressing room door, snapped a few photos of her face, and sent them to Luo Qingmeng. She’d been wearing her glasses all day, and her pervy aura was on full display, practically spilling out of the phone screen.
【Take a look for the hostess. Don’t be mad at me.】
Luo Qingmeng didn’t want to pay her any attention, but Qiu Shuxue kept sending messages. She didn’t want to look, yet she couldn’t help clicking into them over and over.
She: 【Call me sister.】
Qiu Shuxue: 【Luo Qingmeng, I’m your little dog.】
Luo Qingmeng thought Qiu Shuxue was a mad dog.
She was having another episode.
Her fingers shook as she typed.
Xiao Ninghe also sensed that Qiu Shuxue was acting a bit crazy today. She waited until the frenzy died down before she had a chance to talk to her. “Weren’t you two going camping? Can you add me to the group? We’re all just going to have fun anyway, and I’d be pretty bored on my own.”
“Besides, I’ve got camping experience from before. It’d be so boring with just the two of you who don’t know what you’re doing. Take me along.”
A few others passing by overheard and chimed in curiously. “Camping? Take us too. Let’s make it a group outing.”
Qiu Shuxue shook her head. “Ninghe can come along, but you all can forget it. My girlfriend’s shy. We’ll meet you all one by one, slowly.”
Yin Sisi frowned and tapped her folder against the desk. “What do you mean? Girlfriend?”
“You’re out. My girlfriend doesn’t like you much.”
“Huh?” Yin Sisi was first surprised by “girlfriend,” then caught on. But by then, everyone assumed Qiu Shuxue was joking and brushed it off with laughter.
She said, “Luo Qingmeng?”
Qiu Shuxue ignored her and kept her head down, replying to the messages: 【Off work. Want me to pick you up dressed like this?】
【Don’t ignore me. I’m dressed properly—no showing off to anyone else. It’s not like I’m deliberately trying to tease you like this.】
As if.
Luo Qingmeng saw it and hesitated between replying and not. Over there, they must have noticed she was typing, because Qiu Shuxue ducked off somewhere else to snap another photo. She sent it over with her fingers hooking into her collar, exposing her pale skin again, her fingertip pressing against the spot where the bite mark had almost faded.
Luo Qingmeng wanted to type back for her to stop sending these, or at least delete them if she did. What if her phone got lost someday? What if one day…
Then she got another message from Qiu Shuxue.
Qiu Shuxue: 【It’s the bite mark that’s missing you so bad.】
