Chapter 149 Part 4
The king was also a ruthless tyrant.
In the ugly racial conflict, she was also a bloodthirsty participant, and along with the Beast King and the Pope, they were all of the same ilk.
Tris raised her hand, and the black liquid in the cauldron, as if under some control, flew into her hand, finally compressing into a “water droplet” the size of a bowling ball.
Then, with her as the center, a vast red magic circle unfolded.
As the magic circle unfolded, the elves behind her fell one after another, their life force turning into a red blood mist and flowing into the magic circle.
Tris looked up and smiled helplessly: “I’m sorry, Mura.”
“For the sake of the elves, I must do this.”
“I haven’t told anyone. I’ve been waiting for this day for too long. Of course, to summon the first Elven Lord, I will also sacrifice my own life.”
“This is the only way to save the dark elves. This is the only way. We can only achieve salvation with our own hands.”
“For this day, to avoid being exposed… I haven’t told anyone.”
“Mura, you will never believe who the true identity of the Goddess of Light is…”
“Tell me, for the sake of your prophecy, what exactly did you pay?”
Mura roared. She didn’t care about the result of the prophecy at all.
“The God Tree.”
Tris replied calmly, while also looking at the golden box floating in her hand.
“Of course, and this seed of the God Tree. Elves shouldn’t rely on this. In the end, even my life will be offered…”
“The withering of the God Tree was your doing?”
Mura broke down.
Although she had anticipated it after Reina’s reminder, she still couldn’t bear it when she faced this day.
Mura threw out two ice daggers, but they were futile in the face of the ritual.
The black liquid gradually condensed, gradually becoming a humanoid form. Just from the silhouette, one could tell that it was a female elf.
Tris clasped her hands together and began to chant.
All the elves behind her fell, and the crimson magic circle also began to converge on the black figure.
Reina remained unmoved.
“Splurt—!”
Just as Tris was about to sacrifice her own life, a crimson blood sword pierced through the “heart” of the figure.
Tris’s eyes widened. She never thought her ritual would be interrupted, that the phantom of that great one would be injured!
What made her even more desperate was that the crimson magic circle actually began to go haywire, turning into blood and spreading out.
Then came a burst of laughter.
“Hahahahahaha!”
“Finally, finally…”
“You prophesied every step, but you didn’t expect me to come! You self-righteous Dark Elf Queen!”
Appearing at the door was Peter.
Sophia’s butler, one of the high-ranking members of the God Slaying Society.
And a few of his trusted blood race subordinates… all of them were fat-headed blood race nobles who hadn’t been valued by Sophia.
Peter’s white suit, yet he laughed maniacally, like a mad gentleman who no longer concealed himself.
“You’re as stupid as Sophia! Using blood? You completely disregard our blood race!”
“How… could it be…”
The ritual instantly failed, and Tris leaned against the wall, panting heavily. She had prophesied that from now on, she would lose the power of [prophecy], and most likely her life.
She never thought that this would be the outcome.
Until she was completely unconscious, she was still repenting.
The shadow of the first elf, condensed from the black liquid, actually began to be absorbed by the blood sword, completely flowing into the blade.
The black liquid transformed into an indescribable strange power, crawling up Peter’s arm along the blood sword, covering half of his face, making him look like a demon from hell.
Peter retracted the blood sword.
The Beast King recovered from his injuries.
“Hand over your power—!” he transformed into a streak of lightning and rushed towards Peter.
But Peter held his sword and blocked, beautifully deflecting the Beast King’s full-powered attack. For a moment, the two were evenly matched!
“This is the power of the goddess! Even you, I can stand shoulder to shoulder with!”
“Pant… pant…”
The Pope knelt on the ground. During the chaotic battle, he had quietly crawled to a place five feet away from Reina and reached out to touch.
He opened a hidden golden lid, and there was a circular keyhole.
He looked up and looked at Reina with a disheveled expression.
“Bishop Lei! Quick, quick, pour your light power into this keyhole!”
“…”
“That black water isn’t some power! It’s the souls of the sacrificed orcs, to summon the soul of the Goddess of Light! The product of the [Gate of the Celestial Realm] plan. Although I don’t know why it’s here… hehe, we bet on it!”
“Below this keyhole is the Goddess of Light’s true power!”
“Come on!”
…
Reina stepped forward. Following the Pope’s wishes, she extended one hand, as if giving alms, and poured her light power into the keyhole.
But she said coldly and mercilessly:
“Mr. Pope.”
“There’s no power of mine here. You’ve been deceived.”
“What?” A hint of panic appeared in the Pope’s ecstatic expression.
With the sound of mechanical gears turning, a washbasin-sized hidden door appeared below the keyhole.
The Pope reached out, greedily exploring the narrow space that should have contained treasure, but he touched nothing.
“Wait… impossible. Last time I came, I felt…”
“…I clearly knew, but why?!”
He suddenly realized something, stopped his excited trembling, looked up, and stared at Reina.
“There was never any power of the Goddess of Light here. Thank you for your trouble.”
“You…”
The Pope’s bloodshot eyes were about to pop out.
“You knew I was a goddess all along, and you thought I would be so stupid? Truly unforgivable.”
“You knew everything all along? Do you know how long I’ve been hiding to fight against your [red line]?!”
His voice became dull, then turned to anger:
“You’ve been deceiving me all along, just to see me make a fool of myself?”
“Hehe… ridiculous. Why didn’t you kill me from the beginning?”
“You could have killed me in that village!”
“You’ve misunderstood,” Reina shook her head, her expression blank.
She gathered light in her palm, and a holy sword, shimmering with golden brilliance, materialized. She turned and left.
“Bang—!”
The castle door suddenly closed, and with the turning of mechanical gears, it was completely locked with a few “clicks.”
Everyone was shocked.
In an instant, Reina raised her hand slightly and threw the Judgment Blade.
The holy sword, like a ray of light, in an instant, before anyone could react, pierced through Peter’s chest.
“Splurt—”
Peter was pushed against the door by the recoil, and the Judgment Blade pierced through his chest, deeply embedding into the castle door.
“Ugh—!”
Peter’s eyes widened, his internal organs shattered by the light, and he died almost instantly.
Instantly, everyone couldn’t help but tremble, and their bodies even stiffened.
For a moment, only the sound of Reina’s light and elegant footsteps could be heard in the castle.
“Since everyone is here, let’s begin.”
“Pfft—!”
Reina walked to the center of the castle, and the Judgment Blade pulled out of Peter’s chest and flew back to her hand, not a single drop of blood on it. She looked at the Beast King with a blank expression and walked slowly towards him.
The Pope collapsed on the ground.
His anger, after understanding everything, turned into a helpless, hysterical laugh:
“Hahahahahahahaha—!”
“Hahahaha…”
“Hahahaha…”
“So this was your purpose, Goddess of Light?”
“Disguising yourself with a kind appearance, pretending to be ignorant, and waiting for the right moment to kill all the traitors. And no one will know about this slaughter.”
“You cruel, insidious, and ruthless person!”
