32. The Little Dragon Who Wants Milk
Celes was gone.
She had originally been told she could play in the garden. As a child, she could indeed run around the house, enjoying the freshness of the flowers and trees. Celes loved to stare at a flower, and it was unknown whether she was attracted by the fragrance, or interested in the roots and veins of the flower, or had a thought that even Reina couldn’t fathom.
But now she was gone.
Reina activated the [Eye of Light] and only then discovered that Celes’s figure was actually in the bedchamber… Strange, why was she there?
Reina’s main body began to concentrate, and soon, a soft and warm little thing burrowed into her quilt. Sniffing, it was the fragrant scent of Celes.
“Little Celes, why are you so excited? It’s time for dinner.”
“Mommy…”
Although it was similar to before, her voice was slightly different this time. If she had to say what the difference was, it was definitely that she seemed more petite.
And only now did she discover that Celes had already grown so big! How could she be so small when she burrowed into the quilt?
Clearly, something unexpected had happened.
Reina felt a tail wrapping around her thigh, the movement just like Calysia’s. And lifting the quilt, Reina was stunned.
—
That wasn’t a dragon, no, it should be said that it was a dragon, a real dragon girl!
Her fair body was pressed tightly against her thigh, her soft face, two cute azure vertical eyes, tears streaming down, looking at her as if seeking help. Reina’s heart softened, and she immediately recognized that this was Celes’s half-dragon form.
She looked like a seven or eight-year-old girl, but one could see the makings of a beauty, like a work of art meticulously carved by a god, and also like a miniature version of Reina… Of course, her dragon features were more in line with Calysia. Strictly speaking, she was indeed a “creation” of a god.
She had a face and azure hair that were somewhat similar to Reina’s, and a pair of silver wings were pressed against her body, looking very scared.
“Mommy… the outside world is so big, Celes is so small.”
“Good girl, this is your half-dragon form. You succeeded!”
A skill that other children would take months to learn was learned by Celes in just one morning. If any dragon educator discovered this, their worldview would surely collapse in disbelief.
“Mmph… Mommy, will Celes be too fragile like this? I can’t protect Mommy.”
She was clearly talking about protecting me, but she was seeking my help. It felt like she had inherited some strange traits… It must be Calysia’s. When have I ever been stubborn?
Reina patted the little dragon’s small back and head, and her azure hair. Instantly, her heart melted again, as if she could forget all her troubles.
“Purr, purr…”
Even in her half-dragon form, Celes still let out a cute sound.
“Why does Mommy need protection? And besides, a half-dragon’s body is very convenient. It’s easy to cast magic, and the energy consumption is very low. Although you can’t use a large amount of magic quickly, your precision and flexibility will grow.”
“Mommy, is Celes cute?” Celes’s voice also became more fluent.
“Yes, very cute.”
“Cuter than before?”
“Both are cute. This one is very soft~ and also very small.”
“Then, then I won’t change back.”
Celes still followed her heart.
Being held tightly in Reina’s arms, lying on her mother’s belly, this way, she could satisfy the things that her dragon form couldn’t. She had originally thought that she would miss her mother’s embrace due to her growing size, but now that she had it again, her mood became cheerful.
Reina immediately took out a dress suitable for Celes… To be precise, she chose one from countless purple dresses of the same style. After all, no one knew what Celes’s half-dragon form looked like.
Celes, in her purple dress and white stockings, if paired with a purple top hat, would instantly transform into a cute little lady with a noble temperament. And her tiptoeing appearance just after transforming into a half-dragon was also an important bonus to her cuteness.
Holding the little dragon and trying to walk a few steps on the ground, Celes quickly got the hang of it.
She flapped her wings and felt that it was not much different from her usual flying, but her body had become lighter.
But halfway through, Celes turned her head and gave Reina a delicate and cute expression:
“Mommy, Celes wants to be held.”
She extended her arms, no longer acting.
Reina smiled, not knowing what to complain about. She could only hold her by the thighs and pick her up. The little dragon girl leaned against her arms, her face a little flushed as she lay on her chest. She tried to rest her chin on Reina’s chest for more security, but her dragon form and half-dragon form were still different, and her horns left a small indentation on Reina’s fair skin.
So she simply rested her chin on Reina’s shoulder, and only then did she nod in satisfaction. Little did she know that during this process, Reina was so excited she couldn’t express it with body language.
“Hehehe, my good daughter.”
When the two arrived at the dining room, Calysia also stared intently at the dragon girl being held.
“So beautiful…”
“This is the child I gave birth to!”
Reina said with a hehe smile, her mind filled with a sense of accomplishment. She swayed her body and sat down at the dining table.
“Little Cal, look, this is my child, isn’t she cute? My child, ehehe~ our child, I love her so much, such a cute child…”
“…”
She had become strange ever since she laid the egg.
But it didn’t matter if she was strange.
Who made me a virtuous wife and loving mother~
But no matter what, she would probably release some of it when Celes wasn’t behind her…
During mealtime, Reina picked up another piece of meat and placed it at Celes’s mouth.
“Little Celes, this piece of meat is delicious. It’s one of the dragon race’s favorite foods.”
According to the timeline, a little dragon, after learning the half-dragon skill, could generally begin to “wean,” gradually transitioning from full dragon milk to a normal dragon’s diet. The two were not directly related, and the weaning period was different for every dragon, but for an ordinary dragon, the two periods would be relatively close.
“Eh…”
Celes nodded, but didn’t seem very interested.
Her head even shrank towards Reina’s chest, as if she were protecting her treasure.
I see, that’s also normal.
Reina patted her head: “If you want to eat, just tell Mama. Mama will definitely make it for you.”
“I don’t… want to eat meat.”
Celes hesitated for a moment before saying:
“I just want to drink milk… Mommy’s milk is delicious.”
