66. It’s All Her
Out of the king’s arrogance, she casually opened the door with magic. The one who walked in was a figure in a black cloak, whose face was unclear.
Behind it were the Knight Commander Kyle, two rather familiar people, and the assistant, who had been knocked unconscious and was being carried on Commander Kyle’s shoulder.
“To be on the seventh floor, it’s so high. Lady Elena, how have you been lately?” the leading cloaked figure said.
The reason she used [it] to describe him was because Elena had just not been able to sense its existence at all. Whether from its voice or its appearance, she couldn’t see the gender of the person before her.
“You know the consequences of trespassing on private property.”
“Of course I know, but if I had gone through the proper channels, you probably wouldn’t have planned to see me. Please forgive my transgression, Your Majesty Elena, who is the center of attention.”
The cloaked figure actually knelt down directly. Its voice was full of obedience and respect, and there wasn’t a single trace of killing intent or resentment. Although it was wearing a strange outfit, Elena felt that it was even more composed and less frivolous than Kyle.
“Kyle, did you let it in?” Elena asked, looking at the knight behind her.
“I am willing to accept any punishment, but please, Your Majesty, listen to the advice of the [Crimson Priest]!”
Kyle fell to his knees with a thud. The other two, Elena also saw clearly.
They were the captains of the [Exchange Squad], the warriors known as the one-armed knight duo. They were formerly Holy Knights of the Pope Pesa’s Silver Iron Arm Order, and now belonged to Elena’s army, the Anomaly Extermination Squad. The Anomaly Extermination Squad was a secret team that Elena had specially used to clear obstacles, to deal with hidden competitors, and the Shadow of God.
And the one-armed knight duo was the strongest among them. It was said that the two of them had received the blessing of the gods, and could even fight against the subordinates of the Necrolord, and had even almost killed the resurrected legendary strongest Knight King. If it weren’t for that strongest giant from the Primordial Era, Saluno, they could have even taken an important stronghold and discovered the final truth of the Shadow of God.
“The reason why I am on Your Majesty Elena’s side is all because our goals are the same.”
“With all due respect, you have a great resentment towards the dragon race, don’t you?” the Crimson Priest said with a smile.
Elena propped her head up, a rather casual posture.
“Continue.”
“Lately, you’ve been restricting the dragon race everywhere, and have even published reports implying that the dragon race is not good, with a rather aggressive momentum. But we, your foolish subjects, do not recommend you to do so.”
…
“I do hate the dragon race. And then?” Elena was expressionless.
The person known as the Crimson Priest looked deeply at Elena. It was silent for a few seconds, and then it said with a hehe smile, “Don’t you know that the current dragon race is no longer an existence that we humans can stop?”
“So, you’ve allied with Kyle and those guys to force me?”
Elena said coldly, “I hate the dragon race. What does it have to do with you? Leave quickly.”
“Your Majesty, don’t be in a hurry,” the Crimson Priest kowtowed, and the crisp sound was startling. “Do you know what kind of existence the current dragon race is? According to my lord’s will, the Shadow of God is the puppet of the dragon race, and the God Slaying Society is a trick to control the world. The dragon race is using despicable means to devour this world.”
Elena’s eyes narrowed slightly. “You mean, the God Slaying Society and the Shadow of God are completely self-directed? But what does that have to do with what you just said? Who is the ‘my lord’ you mentioned?”
“I am stating a fact. My master is a supreme being from beyond the heavens. Only she can save us from fire and water.”
Elena’s eyes flickered. “It seems you’re a believer. I can forgive your rudeness and allow your existence. It seems that the threat of the dragon race is quite large.”
“Yes, Your Majesty, you must be concerned about the threat of the dragon race. Kyle, do you still remember them, the Dragon King?”
“I remember!” Kyle looked up, his face full of grief and indignation. “I remember the dragon race. They are too strong!”
“That’s not the most important thing, Your Majesty. Have you thought about it? The strongest thing about the dragon race is not themselves, but their damned fertility! The individual strength of the dragon race is strong, but their reproductive ability is weak. Now, under the promotion of the Dragon Queen… damn it, even the Dragon King has three children. Each of those dragons is a future threat!”
…
“Precisely so. Therefore, what we need to do now is to weaken the power of the dragon race,” the Crimson Priest stood up and raised his arms. “Hehe, if the Dragon King’s daughter continues to grow, in a hundred years, humanity will have no chance of turning the tables.”
“And I have the power to end all of this.”
…
It was snowing in the Dragon King’s Palace.
White covered the roof of the bedchamber, the lawn of the garden, and the blooming flowers.
Snowflakes fell, and there were no dark clouds in the sky. Looking up, those snowflakes and the white, hazy mist all came from two emitters in the sky.
They were actually two two-meter-long ice dragons, standing on the bedchamber and spewing out a frosty dragon breath.
“It’s snowing~”
Celes had a delicate and gentle face, but also an air of arrogance. She also behaved this way in front of others. But today, she was flying around, as if it were a festival.
Reina watched this little dragon also start to run around foolishly, and she couldn’t help but laugh. Perhaps it was because it was almost time for breastfeeding and story time at night, and the whole family was quite happy.
Reina looked up and said softly, “It’s already minus sixty degrees. Be careful the flowers don’t die.”
Calysia, standing on the roof, nodded and continued to teach the two little dragons how to use their dragon breath.
Reina subconsciously touched the ice ring on her little finger. Although she had said that she would come and ice it every day, the little dragons would forget as soon as they drank milk. So, Reina used her [Time] authority to permanently fix it as her eternal ornament. Her ring finger and index finger were both gifts from Little Cal, and she also wore a cute little flower on her head.
Just as she was immersed in the beautiful memories, she felt a jolt in her stomach, and she knelt on the ground, letting out a soft moan.
“Awoo…”
Before she could completely sit on the ground, her left and right arms were supported by Celes and Calysia respectively. Reina subconsciously shed tears.
“Dragon… dragon baby…”
Based on her experience… this was the last tremor before the dragon egg was born.
Calysia seemed to have realized this long ago and had discussed it with Celes and the little dragons. Celes and Calysia were responsible for supporting Reina, whose legs were weak. Angelis and Light opened the door of the bedchamber and, with their small hands in white silk gloves, tidied the quilt on the bed so that Reina could lay her egg in a safe and warm place.
“Little Cal, Little Cal, Master… Calysia…” Reina’s lips and the corners of her eyes were glistening. Her voice was weak, and her head was gently placed on the pillow. She looked at Calysia with vacant eyes and only then felt a little at ease.
Celes also giggled foolishly: “Mommy really likes Mother. Even at this time, her mind is full of her.”
