75. What Is Mommy Doing in the Recreation Area?
Guangying was beginning to recover her memories.
She was different from all the other children.
Her memories spanned thousands, even tens of thousands of years. She was an existence formed from the souls of countless Saintesses, a pure and independent consciousness. She was the most complex of all her children, and also the most pitiful.
She had most likely recalled some painful memories.
Before the dragon egg was laid, Reina and Calysia had had a similar conversation.
“Reina, are you sure you don’t want to erase her memories? For the current you, it shouldn’t be that difficult.”
“I won’t do that. The reason is the same as yours.”
“Mmm, you’d rather have a complete her…”
Erasing her former memories, or cutting off any possibility of recovering them, was a deception that even Reina couldn’t bear. So, this time, the responsibility should be entirely on her.
“Mama won’t leave you. You’ll always be Mama’s child.”
“Sob, sob…”
After crying for about five minutes, the sleeping Celes finally woke up. She rubbed her tired eyes from taking care of the baby and immediately moved to her side when she saw the little dragon crying.
For a moment, Reina became even more determined in her next goal—to give her children a peaceful world, which would be a truly good ending.
Guangying cried for a full half an hour. Unfortunately, Reina had no idea which memories she had recovered.
After the feeding was over, it was already night. The satisfied Celes, after drinking her milk, put on her cute maid uniform and went to cook. Angelis and Calysia went outside to practice flying. Reina finally had some time alone with Guangying.
Her cute two legs stretched out from the bath towel, and she sat on the bed in a duck-like posture. She was as well-behaved as ever, but the look in her eyes as she looked at Reina had changed a little.
Just a little.
However, Reina decided to test the waters first. In the end, she didn’t try to hide anything under Guangying’s cute expression, so she just asked directly.
“Guangying, have you remembered anything?”
“Mama~”
Guangying, who had cried and drunk her milk, was clearly much more well-behaved than before. She seemed to have accepted something, and also to have thought of something, which was why she was showing such a cute smile.
“Mama, you promised you wouldn’t leave me.”
Reina still didn’t know how to answer this.
She thought for a moment and was a little more decisive, hugging her.
“Yes, I am your only mother. You can always rely on me.”
“Sob, sob…”
Guangying also hugged Reina, but her body was too small.
“Mama, I remembered a little… I remembered that we promised before…”
“I, what kind of dragon was I before?”
Reina’s eyes widened slightly.
She might have remembered the fragments of the battle with the Shadow of God.
And more memory fragments would recover over time, until she became her complete self.
Reina hesitated a little. If she would become pained because of this, then was the option of retaining her memories the right one?
“Will Guangying be a bad dragon? Because Guangying hurt Mama…”
…
“No, that was Mama’s intention. It didn’t hurt at all.”
“But Mama looked very pained afterwards…”
Reina also remembered this time. That time was indeed not light. This little dummy’s thoughts had been completely analyzed by her. There was nothing she could do about it.
But how to explain it to her?
“I don’t want Mama to hate me. I’m a bad dragon, a bad child, right?”
Guangying’s voice sank again. She remembered some bad memories, and so she wanted to cry again.
“The reason why little Guang can be here is because Mama has already accepted you,” Reina gently patted her back.
“Sob, sob…”
“The past, little Guangying, you don’t need to worry about it at all. No matter what happened, it won’t affect the current ending. If you have anything you want to say, just find Mama, okay?” Reina touched her dragon tail with her hand, and the little dragon affectionately wrapped her tail around her wrist, a gesture of goodwill.
“I will be responsible for all my children. The reason why dragons are born into this world is precisely because you have this right.”
“Ma~!”
Guangying’s tail no longer wrapped around her wrist, but wagged excitedly, and then finally found Reina’s tail, which was wrapped around the dragon egg, and hooked onto it.
While her older sister wasn’t here, Guangying acted spoiled to her heart’s content.
…
After dinner, Reina decided to take a good rest while taking a bath. She was pulled into the pool by Calysia, and her entire body was soaked in the high-temperature “water.” Her delicate skin was carefully massaged by a pair of long, slender hands. Reina could feel the exhilarating feeling of the scales, which were invisible to the naked eye, being squeezed and massaged.
After her bath, she changed into clothes that were not easily damaged by the little dragons. Reina discovered that there were still two hours before the night’s story time and feeding time.
She pulled Calysia and walked to the recreation area…
In the recreation area, she happened to meet Celes, who was cleaning.
Celes tightened her maid uniform and looked at her two mothers with a teasing expression, saying with a smile:
“Mommies, where are you going?”
“Mmph…”
For a moment, Reina was at a loss for words.
“Reina invited me to…”
“Big dragons’ business, little dragons shouldn’t meddle~!” Reina interrupted Calysia, preventing her from telling the truth.
“Celes has worked hard. It’s the same time tonight… Mmm… wait… just wait for me.”
“Okay~”
After Celes left and she had gone downstairs, Reina finally dared to look at Calysia with a complaining expression.
“Little Cal, if a child discovers such a dirty thing, won’t it… corrupt the child!”
“I don’t think it’s dirty. Reina just has a normal dragon’s physiological needs, right?” Calysia tilted her head and smiled.
“Don’t misunderstand.”
“I just want to level up to 100. What’s wrong with that… It’s been over two years. Why haven’t I leveled up yet?”
The level she hadn’t wanted to increase before had soared to almost max level, but her Dragon Mark had been slow to reach level 100.
After absorbing Elena, Reina’s Light level had also reached the max level of 100.
In other words, she was now level 199, just one step away from being a true vassal, and also the way Calysia had hoped.
“What if the time just isn’t right yet?”
“I think I have to find an opportunity… But I clearly already like you so much. Why isn’t it working? It’s been so long. It’s impossible that I don’t like you.”
Immersed in her doubts, before she knew it, the two had already walked to the hall of the recreation area.
Here, when she had just come to the Dragon King’s Palace, she would often come… The several-thousand-square-meter area had been transformed into Calysia’s personal paradise, and the most crucial gear that operated this paradise was Reina.
Reina pushed Calysia against the wall, and she bumped into the chains behind her. And the collars on those chains swayed back and forth, colliding with each other, making a sound like a wind chime.
“Little Cal, let’s begin♡”
