Chapter 11: First Meeting of the Guests
Before long, the production team arrived at the airport. The live broadcast would be interrupted after boarding the plane. The ten guests needed to gather in Beijing, where the production team had specially prepared a villa to serve as the residence for all the guests.
When Su Jian Yue arrived in the courtyard, three other guests had already arrived ahead of her.
The man in the lead stood up to greet Su Jian Yue. “Hello, my name is Zhao Qifei. I’m a local teacher in Beijing.”
“Hello, my name is Su Jian Yue. I’m a university freshman,” Su Jian Yue said.
“My name is Liang Wenjing. I’m a doctor,” a female omega sitting to the side also came over to greet Su Jian Yue.
“Oh, hello,” Su Jian Yue gave Liang Wenjing a sweet smile.
“Hello, I’m Ren Peng. I’m currently a game streamer,” a male omega said.
Zhao Qifei gestured, “Have a seat first. We probably have to wait for everyone to arrive before we can choose our rooms.”
“Alright.” Su Jian Yue didn’t stand on ceremony. She put her luggage aside and found a seat.
“Speaking of which, you’re probably one of the most popular guests on this show. I also watched that variety show Pastoral Cuties when I was little,” Liang Wenjing said with a smile, looking at Su Jian Yue.
“Really? I didn’t expect everyone to still remember me after so long,” Su Jian Yue replied with a big smile.

The few of them chatted while eating fruit. Twenty minutes later, three more guests arrived.
The female alpha with a hip-hop style, coolly wearing sunglasses, was the musician Jiang Ying.
Next to her was a male omega with a buzz cut who looked to be about 185 cm tall. He was a flight attendant named Mao Ning.
The other male alpha, wearing a headband and sportswear and holding a basketball, was named Chen Zhibin, a university student from Hai City.
After everyone exchanged greetings, the atmosphere became awkward again. With no host to control the situation, the guests had to break the ice themselves.
“Do we have to stay in the courtyard the whole time?” Chen Zhibin asked doubtfully.
“Yes, the production team probably won’t let us move in that easily,” Mao Ning replied with a smile.
Su Jian Yue glanced at her phone. It was almost twelve o’clock. Why isn’t Older Sister here yet? She took some fruit from the table next to her and ate while waiting for her older sister. Most of the guests had quieted down, each pretending to be busy.
The show’s live stream, however, was much more lively, with rows of bullet comments scrolling by.

The leading female omega introduced herself first. “My name is Yu Lin. I’m currently a lawyer. Can we sit anywhere here?”
Zhao Qifei nodded and smiled. “Yes, you can sit anywhere.”
Yu Lin’s gaze swept across the alphas before she sat down next to Su Jian Yue.
She smiled at Su Jian Yue. “Hello.”
Su Jian Yue was so focused on looking at her older sister that she only reacted when someone sat down in the seat next to her. She had saved that seat for her older sister. Now, she was too embarrassed to ask someone who had already sat down to get up.
“Hello,” Su Jian Yue replied politely.
“I’ve seen your variety show before. You were so cute as a child,” Yu Lin said. She looked quite mature, wearing a black skirt suit today that made her look both beautiful and cool.
“Really? Everyone says I was cute as a child,” Su Jian Yue replied to Yu Lin with a big smile, like a little sun.
Just after greeting Yu Lin, Su Jian Yue felt a chill, as if someone was staring at her.
She turned her head and saw Shen Xun staring at her with an icy gaze. Su Jian Yue couldn’t help but shiver.
Wait, everything was fine just now. Why is Older Sister looking at me like that now? I didn’t do anything, did I? Is my Older Sister Xunxun blaming me for not saving a seat properly? But it’s not my fault. Yu Lin sat down too quickly, I didn’t even have time to stop her.

Shen Xun sat down between Yu Lin and Ren Peng. Zhao Qifei and Chen Zhibin, who were opposite her, were clearly a bit disappointed.
The last male alpha, Zheng Tianming, then sat down in the seat between Chen Zhibin and Zhao Qifei. With that, all ten guests of Heartbeat Emergency had finally gathered.

Now, we need everyone to hand over your electronic devices such as mobile phones, tablets, and laptops. The production team will distribute phones to the guests uniformly in a bit. Your electronic devices will be kept by the production team for the next half a month.”
“Huh? They’re being pretty strict,” Chen Zhibin complained as he handed over his two phones and a tablet. The others did the same, handing over all the electronic devices they had brought.
After everyone had handed in their things, the host continued, “I believe everyone has already had a simple ice-breaking session. Next, you will need to complete a small game together. This game is also related to choosing your rooms.”
Yang Rui smiled and continued, “It’s like this: our villa has three floors. Except for the first floor, which has two adjacent rooms, the second and third floors each have four rooms, two adjacent rooms on the left and two adjacent rooms on the right, with a corridor in the middle. Therefore, we will be choosing rooms through a small game.”

“There are paper and pens on the table. Guests can write down your most desired neighbor on the paper. Guests who choose each other can have priority in choosing rooms. After explaining the rules, Yang Rui continued, “You can start writing now. After you’re done, we will show them to everyone at the same time.”
Su Jian Yue picked up a pen and, almost without thinking, wrote down Shen Xun’s name. She wanted to live next to her older sister.
The other guests were also thinking and writing down names.
Like Su Jian Yue, Shen Xun wrote down a name almost immediately. She had hesitated for just a moment earlier, and the seat next to Su Jian Yue was taken by someone else. She couldn’t let someone else get ahead of her this time.

As the host’s voice fell, the guests revealed their papers.
Although this segment seemed to be about choosing rooms, it was, in fact, also a way for the guests to choose their most heart-fluttering first impression guest.
