Chapter 22: Guess Where We’re Going Next
Su Jian Yue wiped the table clean before looking at Yu Lin. “Sister Yu Lin, have a seat.”
“Mmm.” Yu Lin nodded slightly, her gaze never leaving Su Jian Yue’s face.
Su Jian Yue wiped her own stool as well and then sat down.
She took out a disposable wet wipe from her small bag and handed a small packet to Yu Lin. “Wet wipe. Wipe your hands and get ready to eat.”
“Thank you.” Looking at the cute little alpha in front of her, Yu Lin’s eyes unconsciously curved into a smile.
What should I do? The little milk alpha is getting cuter the more I look at her. And she’s so thoughtful, just like a well-behaved little puppy.
Su Jian Yue also took a wet wipe to clean her hands. She ordered two bowls of soft tofu pudding, two fried dough sticks, and a small steamer of buns from the owner.
After telling the owner what she wanted, Su Jian Yue finally looked at Yu Lin. Fortunately, she was an extrovert and didn’t feel awkward being with someone she didn’t know well.
“Sister Yu Lin, how did you guys choose the gifts last night? Did you pick my gift right away?” Su Jian Yue asked curiously. She had thought her older sister would definitely be able to pick her gift.
Yu Lin smiled at her. “Very curious?”
Su Jian Yue nodded obediently. “Mhmm!”
“Don’t call me Sister Yu Lin anymore. This is a romance variety show. We’re here to find someone we like, not to find relatives. Just call me by my name from now on,” Yu Lin said with a smile. She had to correct Su Jian Yue’s thinking. This was a dating show, not a show for her to find an older sister.
“Okay,” Su Jian Yue nodded in agreement.
Yu Lin also nodded at her. “Yesterday, for the sake of fairness, we unwrapped all the gifts. Then, the five of us drew lots and chose the gifts according to the order we drew.”
“Oh, so that’s how it was.” Su Jian Yue understood why the person who came wasn’t her Older Sister Xunxun. It was because her older sister’s luck was bad; she must have drawn a number at the back.
While the two were talking, the buns and soft tofu pudding Su Jian Yue had ordered were brought to the table.
Su Jian Yue’s eyes lit up as she looked at the food in front of her. “I looked it up online. This shop is a favorite among the locals. Their soft tofu pudding and steamed buns are the most delicious, so I chose this place.”
“Mmm, then let’s have a good taste,” Yu Lin said, playing along.
Su Jian Yue first took a bite of the soft tofu pudding. The savory sauce mixed with the smooth and tender tofu pudding. With one bite, Su Jian Yue couldn’t help but nod.
The sauce for the soft tofu pudding here was very well made. It wasn’t too salty, and it was different from any she had eaten before.
“Mmm, this soft tofu pudding is quite delicious,” Su Jian Yue couldn’t help but praise.
Yu Lin also nodded. “Indeed. The taste isn’t salty, and the texture is also good.”
Su Jian Yue tasted a bite of the plain soft tofu pudding, then added some chive flower sauce and chili oil.
After doing this, she took a bite of the fried dough stick. The outer skin of the dough stick was fried to a crispy perfection, while the inside was soft and fluffy. A bite of the dough stick, paired with a mouthful of the savory and fresh soft tofu pudding, was indescribably delicious.
“If you think it’s bland, you can add some chive flower sauce and chili. It tastes even better!” Su Jian Yue said happily.
Yu Lin looked at Su Jian Yue, who was engrossed in her food, a smile on her face. “Okay.”
As Su Jian Yue spoke, she continued to eat in big mouthfuls, and even tried a few small buns. When she was eating, she really couldn’t be bothered to talk.
Yu Lin was so amused by her she laughed. “Eat slowly. We’re not in a hurry today.”
With that, she also started to eat.
“Mhmm, guess where we’re going next?” Su Jian Yue had finished her fried dough stick, and only half a bowl of soft tofu pudding was left. Only then did she finally have time to chat.
Yu Lin rested her chin on her hand and thought for a moment before saying, “An amusement park?”
After all, the little puppy alpha still looked like a child. She would probably like a place like an amusement park, right?

“So mysterious? Then let me guess again. Are we going to an aquarium?”

Su Jian Yue quickly went to pay the bill, and then got into the production team’s car with Yu Lin.
Su Jian Yue directly told the driver to go back to the Heartbeat House first.
Yu Lin asked in surprise, “Why are we going back?”

When Yu Lin came downstairs, she saw Su Jian Yue waiting obediently for her on the first floor.
The corners of Yu Lin’s lips lifted slightly. It would be great if I could really win Su Jian Yue over. Such a cute little milk alpha is truly one of a kind.
“I’ve changed. Let’s go,” Yu Lin said with a smile.
“Mhmm,” Su Jian Yue nodded obediently. After the two of them got into the car, about twenty minutes later, the car stopped on the side of the street.

Su Jian Yue directly asked for a small basin of already-mixed clay. She then brought over an apron. “It’s best to wear this, or it will be easy to get it on your clothes.”
“Okay,” Yu Lin said, putting on the apron. Her eyes darted to Su Jian Yue beside her. “Can you help me tie the strap in the back?”
