With the battle over, and Bai having absorbed most of the bloodlust, the offering on this square was now insufficient.

Bai paused. “The Crimson Nest.”
“The legendary Wild God is awakening. Perhaps he will appear at the Wild God Altar any moment,” Lin Yan said. “Queen Arachne hates you. She calls you ‘little fox.’ It seems you have a long history with her…”
She had read about it in the Queen’s diary.
When she had first arrived at the Wild God Altar, and had had her first audience with the Queen, she had seen the little fox appear.
