Chapter 62: Cat and Mouse
But at that moment, no one dared to move. Several men who had aspired to be the boss were already lying dead on the floor.
“Since you’re not coming, don’t blame me for starting.”
Tang Ze’s smile vanished. He fired into the crowd, and four or five men fell, wailing.
People started to run, but the doors were stuck, as if they were locked in the hall. Even the windows wouldn’t open. They smashed the glass, wanting to jump, but it was still raining outside, and their special rain gear was upstairs.
Hearing the continuous gunshots and screams, everyone was terrified. That delivery guy was a devil, not a human.
He killed people as if he were slaughtering chickens!
“Big Brother, don’t kill me! I was also forced by Mr. Huo! I’m a college student! From now on, you’re my boss!”
A young man wearing glasses threw down his knife and knelt on the floor.
Tang Ze hummed in acknowledgement and shot him in the head, splattering blood everywhere.
“Don’t think I didn’t know you were the loudest.”
Tang Ze reloaded, scanning the hall. Thirty-something corpses, and seven or eight wounded.
He chambered another round and taunted, “Hide well, don’t let me find you.”
About forty men hid in the private rooms, bathrooms, and kitchen.
They all trembled, wondering how their planned raid had turned into this. It had to be a dream.
Tang Ze, enjoying this game of cat and mouse, kicked open a private room door. Music was still playing, and a disheveled woman was hanging from the ceiling, her legs spread in an M-shape, her body covered in bloody welts.
Tang Ze walked over and saw she was still breathing. She looked to be in her twenties. How could they torture her like this? “Miss, did you see anyone come in here?”
The girl looked at Tang Ze and his gun, then weakly gestured towards the bathroom.
A smile appeared on Tang Ze’s lips. He kicked open the bathroom door.
“Big Brother, spare…”
Bang!
He walked out of the bathroom and smiled at the girl. “I’ve avenged you.”
He turned to leave.
“Big… Brother…”
Tang Ze looked back. “What’s wrong? Is there someone else?”
“Can… you… kill… me…?”
Tang Ze looked at her condition. Every minute was torture for her. What a sin. There’s no need to torture women like this. Perverts.
“Miss, this gun will hurt. How about I just snap your neck?”
He even sought her consent.
The girl smiled and nodded, not wanting any more pain. She closed her eyes.
Tang Ze put the gun down and placed his hands on her head.
Crack. Her body went limp.
He sighed, picked up the gun, and went to the next room. To his surprise, every private room had a woman hanging from the ceiling or tied to a sofa, all of them severely beaten. He couldn’t help but mutter, “Animals.”
He ended their suffering one by one.
In the bathroom, he was shocked again, feeling his innocent heart being damaged.
A row of naked lower halves were exposed outside the toilet stalls. He looked inside. This must be the public toilet for the younger brothers. The more capable ones had their own private rooms.
Inside, a woman was tied up, unable to move, either unconscious or dead.
To fall into their hands was truly a fate worse than death.
Suddenly, he saw a black footprint. Someone was hiding here.
He shot at the door.
Bang!
Blood trickled out from under the door. He slung the shotgun over his shoulder and left the bathroom. Seeing these things made him feel pure and honest in comparison.
In the kitchen, he was once again reminded of his own merciful methods.
A woman’s head sat on the counter, a thigh on the cutting board, and a bowl of chopped meat beside it. A pot was even simmering on the stove.
Cannibalism. You guys are really something.
And someone was hiding in the walk-in freezer.
He opened the door and saw seven frozen female corpses hanging upside down. A layer of frost covered their long legs, and from the wounds on their bodies, it was clear they had been tortured before they died.
Be a good girl. Don’t go to entertainment venues in the middle of the night. Isn’t it better to go home early?
He noticed a puff of hot air and, without a word, closed the door and locked it.
The three men inside the freezer shivered.
“Is he gone?”
“I think so.”
“Let’s go check.”
They tiptoed to the door and tried to open it, but it was locked. Panic set in, and they started pounding on the door, no longer caring if they were caught.
Tang Ze, standing outside, lit a cigarette, listening to the pounding, and slowly closed the kitchen door.
Soon, the first and second floors were cleared. The dead were dead, and the suffering had ended.
He went to the third floor, which seemed to be the office area. Fewer rooms to search.
The general manager’s office.
Tang Ze gripped the doorknob, paused, and smiled.
Bang!
The wooden door was shot through. He opened it and saw a man with a knife lying on the floor, bleeding. He put another bullet in his head and then saw four girls sitting on the sofa, their faces pale with fear.
Where did this person come from, killing their captor?
Tang Ze looked at the four girls. They were young, but not pretty enough. Good enough for grinding experience, though.
“Big Brother, don’t kill us.”
The four girls trembled.
Tang Ze asked curiously, “Why are you here? And dressed so well?”
One of the girls said with a panicked voice, “We don’t know. It seems like they were going to take us somewhere.”
“Oh, I see. I shouldn’t have killed him then. You wait here, I’ll go find someone to ask.”
The terrified girls nodded.
After Tang Ze left, one of the bolder girls went to the door and heard his retreating footsteps.
“He’s gone, let’s run.”
“But… he told us to wait here.”
A timid girl said.
“Are you stupid? You’re going to wait for him to come back? Do you want to be a toilet seat?”
At these words, the girl’s face paled, and she immediately stood up and ran.
Opening the door, they saw Tang Ze with his back turned. The girl gestured, “Run!”
The four girls ran towards the stairs as if their lives depended on it.
Tang Ze looked back and sighed. Why are you running? It’s raining outside, where can you go?
Bang, bang, bang, bang!
The four girls fell, their bodies twitching, blood seeping from their fair skin.
“I told you to wait for me. I hate it when people break their promises.”
He then opened the next door.
“Big Brother!”
Tang Ze was taken aback. This person was kneeling in the middle of the room. Something different.
