Chapter 79: Didn’t Your Mother Tell You?
“You!”
Qian Zhongran slowly turned to look at the ferocious, fierce-looking Xiao Li.
Xiao Li was also ruthless. He stabbed repeatedly. Qian Zhongran never thought he would die at the hands of a former employee.
After killing him, Xiao Li raised his dagger and shouted, “Qian Zhongran is dead!”
The warehouse fell silent again. All eyes were on Xiao Li.
Suddenly, a figure appeared beside him, stabbing him from behind, then laughed maniacally. “From now on, I’m the boss! Xi Meng is mine!”
“Damn it! What makes you think you can be the boss?! Brothers, kill him!”
In an instant, everyone was fighting for the position of boss and for Xi Meng. Whoever killed the man in front of them would be the new leader.
Tang Ze, bored, lit a cigarette. “I never knew you were so charming.”
“Master, weren’t you the same at first?”
“Cough, cough, I was just pretending.”
“Okay, Master was pretending.”
Tang Ze slapped her perky bottom. “Mengmeng, you’re getting a little naughty.”
“I learned from Bai.”
“Of course, bad habits are easy to learn.”
Xi Meng smiled faintly. Without Tang Ze by her side, she wouldn’t have dared to enter this lion’s den. She understood the importance of a strong backer.
Just then, Tang Ze and Xi Meng heard An Bai’s voice in their earpieces. “Sister Xi, you’re so good at shifting the blame.”
“That’s called being smart.”
Sun Ting teased.
Across from them, the men were fighting to the death, while on this side, they were flirting. Tang Ze couldn’t stand it anymore. The conversation was getting more and more risqué, corrupting him.
By the time they were done, almost everyone in the warehouse was dead. Only two warriors remained, locked in a duel.
Tang Ze was puzzled. Did he look that weak? Were they treating him like air?
And yet, all these men had completely ignored him, blinded by their greed. Tang Ze’s appearance was too deceptive.
“Brother, let’s not fight. How about we share?”
One of them suggested.
“Heh, I’m not into that. Come on!”
Negotiations failed. Blades clashed mercilessly. Even the final victor was covered in wounds. Without medical attention, he wouldn’t live long.
Tang Ze sighed. “I never thought a single sentence from you could leave only one man standing.”
“I’m flattered, Master.”
The victor slowly approached, blood dripping from his fingers, his face slashed, his skin torn.
But his eyes were fixed on the beautiful Xi Meng, as if he felt no pain. Was a beautiful woman really that enticing?
“I did it. You’re mine now.”
He announced, as if claiming his prize, his eyes burning with greed.
Xi Meng smiled beautifully. “Little brother, didn’t your mother ever tell you that the more beautiful a woman is, the more likely she is to deceive you?”
The man was confused. When he saw Xi Meng pull a pistol from her down jacket, he froze.
Bang!
As the shell casing clattered to the floor, the warehouse fell silent.
Tang Ze couldn’t help but applaud. “Bravo, Mengmeng. You took care of all of them with a single bullet.”
“It’s only because Master is here that I have the courage.”
“You’re too modest. Let’s go.”
“Master, wait.”
Xi Meng grabbed his hand, her beautiful eyes shimmering.
“What’s wrong?”
Her demeanor suddenly changed from gentle to queenly. She whispered in his ear, “Fuck me.”
“…”
I, Tang Ze, am a decent man. These women are really corrupting me. I must resist, I must condemn this behavior.
In a nearby building, three figures lay on the ground, three Barrett sniper rifles aimed at the warehouse.
But the scene in their scopes was no longer the enemy.
“So slutty.”
Sun Ting chuckled through her scope.
“So big.”
An Bai was a little envious.
Ye Qingyi pouted and looked away, then tapped Sun Ting and An Bai, signaling them to turn off their earpieces.
“What’s wrong?”
Sun Ting asked, confused.
Ye Qingyi said seriously, “Xi Meng’s performance is a bit too good. It might be bad for us.”
An Bai said naively, “Sister Yiyi, you’re overthinking it.”
Ye Qingyi gave up on An Bai. You’d still be counting the money after being sold. She looked at Sun Ting.
“Indeed, she’s quite good at seducing Master. Let’s see how she behaves. We have no excuse to kill her now. If Master finds out, we’ll be lucky to escape with our lives.”
“I guess we’ll have to wait and see.”
An Bai said seriously, “I don’t think it’s a big deal.”
Sun Ting and Ye Qingyi both rolled their eyes. Thank God you’re with Master. Otherwise, with your brain, you would have gotten yourself killed long ago.
Before leaving, Tang Ze took all the supplies from the surrounding warehouses, leaving not even a grain of rice.
Back in the car, Sun Ting was driving, and Xi Meng was resting in the passenger seat.
“Mengmeng, where is your warehouse?”
Xi Meng opened her eyes and said apologetically, “My warehouse is empty. I was just bluffing. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have gone to see Huo Wannian.”
Sun Ting, driving, said calmly, “You’re quite a good liar.”
Xi Meng immediately sensed her hostility and said flatteringly, “Sister, I had no choice.”
“Don’t call me sister, I’m a few years younger than you.”
Sun Ting’s tone softened slightly, feeling Xi Meng’s attempt to please her.
Xi Meng wasn’t stupid. She smiled. “You’re all my sisters. Please take care of me.”
“I told you…”
Ye Qingyi, seeing An Bai’s expression, coughed lightly.
Xi Meng looked at Ye Qingyi and An Bai and just smiled without saying anything, but she felt there was something wrong with them. As a newcomer, they would probably try to put her in her place. And after her performance today, they were worried.
What I, Xi Meng, want is to be a woman second only to one and above all others. Your worries are justified.
Tang Ze smiled, watching the four women. This car was full of schemes. From Xi Meng’s performance today, the other three combined were no match for her. She adapted quickly and had her own ideas.
Only Yiyi could stand a chance against her. Ting Ting was a maybe. Bai was a lost cause.
But Tang Ze felt that even Ye Qingyi and Sun Ting together were no match for Xi Meng.
He clapped his hands. “We have a rule. Everyone has to tell their story, their experiences. Mengmeng, begin your speech.”
“My experiences? From childhood?”
Xi Meng was surprised. Did newcomers have to tell their stories?
Was he trying to get to know her?
Xi Meng was overthinking it. Tang Ze had just suggested it one day, and it had become a tradition.
“Yes.”
Ye Qingyi said.
