Chapter 1: Book Transmigration
“The pure, sacred robes wrapped me into a sacrificial offering. It was she who helped me remove my restraints. From then on, there was only one deity in my heart. I worshiped her, relied on her, and also…”
“Desired her.”

The night outside the window was deep and dark.
Adele was browsing for novels on a reading app. The popularity of the number one book on the daily rankings had already surpassed two hundred thousand. Out of curiosity, she casually clicked into the book—
The Lop-Eared Rabbit About to Be Sacrificed
This was a Western fantasy novel centered on the conditioning of the female lead. The female lead possessed a pure lop-eared rabbit bloodline. Despite being the daughter of a wealthy merchant, she was treated as a sacrificial offering for the Sacred Cult.
A sacrificial offering is a soulless marionette. To make the female lead docile and obedient, her father spared no expense, hiring numerous instructors from the Sacred Cult to come to their home.
The female lead suffered terribly at their hands. She was tormented with despicable methods like brainwashing, hypnosis, and even beatings until she was traumatized. Lop-eared rabbits are timid by nature, and in her human form, amidst extreme fear, she could no longer retract her tail and ears.

The original author described the female lead’s pain and helplessness with a tragic and moving beauty. No one empathized with her tears; no one answered her cries for help.
The glorified acts of crime were filled with violence, yet the comment section was full of cheers.
They loved to watch the weak being abused, powerless to resist. Every one of the lop-eared rabbit’s pleas was a stimulant for these spectators.
As a fan of strong female leads, Adele was seething with rage as she read.
“A bunch of scumbags.”
The moment the words left her mouth, a hand reached out from the screen and pulled her straight into the story—
「Chapter 18, The New Instructor」
“Lady Adele, the young miss has finished her bath and is waiting for you inside.”
A maid pushed open the door to the classroom and bowed respectfully.
Transmigrating into a book was nothing new for a bookworm, and Adele, having transmigrated in both body and soul, quickly recovered from the dizziness, calmly suppressing the storm raging in her heart.
The first rule of transmigration: don’t blow your cover.
In the original novel, the instructor who shared Adele’s name came from a noble family. Having been severely abused since childhood, she had become twisted inside. After joining the Sacred Cult, she used the cloak of religion to hide her filthy heart.
She invented all sorts of torturous methods, preparing to vent all her dissatisfaction with her own situation onto the female lead.
This was what the original author had foreshadowed in the previous chapter. The terrible part was, the book was still being serialized. Adele had transmigrated into the latest chapter, and she had no idea what would happen next.
Fortunately, the world-building of the novel was fundamentally the same as her own world. This land had a strict class hierarchy, with pure-blood humans and mixed-blood humans ruling over the elves.
Those like the female lead, who possessed a lop-eared rabbit bloodline and could take human form, were collectively known as mixed-blood humans.
Adele was also a mixed-blood human. She had a half-bloodline of extremely pure white wolf, and in her human form, she was a commanding woman with striking features, a tall, slender figure, and gorgeous facial features.
Normally, she would be very popular, but she had a naturally cold expression, which, combined with a pair of dark green eyes that faintly radiated aggression, always scared away anyone who tried to get close.
Seeing her icy expression, the maid thought she had misspoken and silently lowered her bow even further.
Adele put on a noble air and gave a faint “Mm,” walking into the classroom as if it were the most natural thing in the world. Only after the heavy door closed behind her did she secretly let out a sigh of relief.
The classroom was normal in name only.
Past a large bamboo screen, both sides of the hallway were lined with bookshelves. But what they held was not history, politics, economics, or literature, but—
The Doctrines of the Sacred Cult—The Path to Salvation
Sacrificing Kin to Trade Life for Life
How to Become the Sacred Cult’s Most Beloved Offering
…
The Sacred Cult was the most influential sect on the continent of Dezhou. Its doctrine could be summed up in two words: eternal life.
Other sects mostly used traditional scriptures to enlighten their followers, emphasizing love and redemption, compassion and wisdom. The Sacred Cult, however, advocated for a baptism of blood and violence. Its followers firmly believed in six words: the more extreme, the more devout.
The items displayed on the shelves came in text-only and illustrated versions. A mere glance was enough for Adele to recall the descriptions from the novel.
The not-yet-adult female lead was forced to read these bizarre religious books every day, under the beautiful-sounding guise of a young lady’s enlightenment.
It was absolutely sick.
Adele’s brow furrowed, her eyes filled with undisguised disgust.
Beyond the bookshelves, the view suddenly opened up. At the end of the hallway was a circular, sunken platform.
The edge of the platform had tiered seating like an amphitheater, and the skulls of various animals were mounted high on the eastern and western walls.
Canes soaked in a water tank in the corner, some of them still stained with blood.
This was nothing short of a sacrificial site, filled with a damp, metallic stench…
It was too much.
The young woman kneeling in the center of the platform heard the approaching footsteps and began to tremble even more violently.
Her head was lowered, two golden ears drooping behind her head, desperately trying to hide inside her white tank top. Her exposed arms were so thin that a thumb and index finger could easily encircle them. Her wrists were nothing but skin and bone, with glaring bloody marks on the protruding bones.
The golden fluff of her ears and tail only served to make her skin look as white as snow, but at this moment, she was covered in wounds, leaving one with no desire—or the heart—to look closely.
Although Lina was in human form, she still retained the habits of a lop-eared rabbit. Her hands were unconsciously clasped together, and her entire body was curled into a tiny ball.
Adele stood frozen in place for a long time. She looked at the little ball of a rabbit on the verge of a stress-induced breakdown, and the hand hanging at her side grew uncontrollably cold.
This is too cruel.
She hadn’t read the descriptions in the book carefully, yet she had still found it utterly repulsive. Now, with the victim standing alive before her, the visual impact nearly stunned her senseless.
Grinding a vibrant young woman into a soulless sacrificial offering—this wasn’t faith, this was bottomless abuse.
A mix of emotions churned within Adele, pity intertwined with anger. She lightened her steps and approached the trembling lop-eared rabbit.
Just as she was about to squat down to comfort Lina, a black shadow flashed in her peripheral vision.
The shadow was extremely fast, like a phantom. If not for the innate sharp senses of a white wolf, an ordinary person might not have noticed it at all.
!
Is there a third person in this room!?
Adele’s movements froze. A sudden chill ran down her spine, and in an instant, she snapped out of her emotional state and regained her reason. She was in a book, in a strange world. As a newcomer, she couldn’t act rashly.
If there was a third pair of eyes here, any action that deviated from her original character’s persona would arouse suspicion.
She couldn’t risk it, and she wouldn’t.
Saving the little rabbit couldn’t be rushed.
Thus, Adele did her best to play the part of a psychologically twisted instructor and said, “Look up.”
The young woman was utterly submissive, offering no resistance as she raised her head at the sound of Adele’s voice.
Even as a female lead not favored by her creator, she was breathtakingly beautiful. Her face was still young, not yet fully matured, but one could already glimpse the peerless beauty hidden in her features.
Her tear-filled eyes were like sapphires washed with water, a mixture of terror and fragility, the corners red and moist.
Despair was about to spill over, but Lina didn’t forget to be ingratiating. She nodded slightly and said in a weak voice, “Hello, Teacher~”
Such a gentle voice pierced straight to the soul. Like a kitten kneading, it softly pressed right on Adele’s heart.
The little rabbit didn’t need to do anything; just calling out to her once was enough to make her heart melt into a puddle.
The sound of her heart, beating like a war drum, thundered in her ears. Adele was in complete disarray.
She could act out the original character’s callousness, but she couldn’t bring herself to do anything truly twisted.
What do I say next?
Her knowledge of the Sacred Cult was partial at best.
What do I do?
She had even less desire to bully Lina.
…
Just as Adele was wracking her brain for her next move, Lina suddenly prostrated herself on the floor, knocking her head heavily as she said in a trembling voice, “Teacher, I was wrong… I truly don’t know what to do. Please instruct me…”
After speaking, she raised her head and looked at Adele, helpless. A blush crept onto her cheeks, which still bore the faint marks of fingerprints. Her moist lips parted and closed several times, but she couldn’t form another complete sentence.
She was so scared.
This new instructor’s face was as cold as ice, her brow tightly furrowed. She was clearly very displeased with her.
She couldn’t let the instructor get angry. That would be disrespectful to the Sacred Cult, and she would be locked in the dark room, thrown into an iron barrel full of mealworms…
It hurt so much.
It was so scary.
Past punishments had long since branded fear into her very bones. Every time she remembered, that extreme helplessness would slowly consume her.
A few tears escaped her control, pattering onto the floor.
Lina quickly adjusted her kneeling posture and apologized through sobs, “I really know I was wrong. Please don’t be angry. I beg you to punish me.”
In a place Adele couldn’t see, Lina’s eyes were filled with terror, and also a hint of defiance.
Just yesterday, she’d had a dream. She dreamt she was wrapped in pure, sacred robes and sent to the sacrificial altar on the day she came of age, dying a painful death in a great fire.
When she woke up this morning, many comments had appeared before her eyes. These comments would sometimes appear and sometimes vanish.
Right at this moment, they were scrolling enthusiastically.
【This must be the new instructor! With that icy face, she looks tough!】
【The author already said she’s psychologically twisted. I can’t wait for her to torture the little rabbit viciously.】
【The way the little rabbit was crying just now makes me want to bully her.】
【But she’s clearly scared. Even in niche circles, consent is important.】
【If the person above doesn’t want to watch, then get lost!】
Lina looked at the content of their discussion and thought back on her past experiences. The memories enveloped her like a nightmare. Overwhelmed by fear, the tightly wound string in her mind finally snapped—
Her tail instantly took its true form, a fluffy ball pushing up the back of her white shorts.
!!!
Lina tried to retract her tail, but in her traumatized state, she couldn’t control her body at all. All her struggles were in vain.
【Whoa! Quick, pull the fur off her tail!】
【A frightened rabbit might even have a false pregnancy… hehehe!】
【Did I just walk into a crime scene? This is sick.】
【Why are there so many haters today?】
Lina was terrified. Boundless fear prevented her from thinking clearly. She had only one thought—
I absolutely will not be a sacrificial offering like in my dream!
But how could she ask for help?
She had long been isolated and helpless. Her mother had died young, her father was a monster, and there were no other blood relatives or elders in the family she could rely on. She had no voice; even the bolder servants dared to walk all over her and boss her around.
Lina’s gaze fell on Adele’s leather boots, and amidst her chaotic thoughts, the idea of murder actually surfaced.
Kill this new instructor, then escape…
Lop-eared rabbits are naturally sensitive and gentle-tempered. The thought made her shiver from head to toe.
Having been conditioned from a young age to be delicate and submissive, the thought of resistance was fleeting. Lina was more accustomed to begging for mercy.
“Teacher, I’m sorry.”
Past experience told her that asking for punishment proactively was always slightly better.
Meat, eggs, and milk were considered impure by the Sacred Cult. As an offering, Lina was rarely allowed to eat them in order to maintain her purity. She was incredibly thin, and her waist, constantly bound, was slender enough to be grasped in one hand.
It seemed as if a little force could snap her in two.
Adele finally got her heartbeat under control. She forced down her pity, squatted down in front of Lina, and asked gently in a voice only the two of them could hear, “Your ears and tail, can you really not retract them? I can find a physician to help you.”
A flicker of astonishment crossed Lina’s eyes.
These instructors were all pure-blood humans. They hated fluffy things the most. Shouldn’t she have slapped her across the face?
The last time her ears popped out, they were tied into a tight knot that she almost couldn’t undo…
What did this gentle inquiry mean?
The comments appeared again.
【I get it. The new instructor is deliberately giving her a bit of hope. When the little rabbit lets her guard down and sees her as a savior, she’ll hurt her viciously and watch her struggle in despair!】
【The analysis from the person above is so thrilling!】
【I agree!】
…
Lina stared at their discussion, her eyes wide.
She also believed that no instructor was a good person. The past tortures were still vivid in her mind; she had learned her lesson long ago. And so—
Lina tremblingly held up her ears and said, “I shouldn’t have grown ears. I know you hate fluff. Please, hit me, just don’t cut them off…”
Adele: ?
For heaven’s sake, who on earth taught the little rabbit to be like this?
Seeing Adele make no move, Lina turned around, pointed at the ball of golden, fluffy tail, and said, “Only my ears and tail manifest, nothing else. I’m begging you, please spare me…”
What interesting world building so far!
