Jiang Li selectively ignored the glistening droplet in Li Huan’s hand. Even so, this was the first time she’d heard of something like this.
Not only that, but listen to how she phrased it—wanting something with her scent on it. No matter how Jiang Li thought about it, she found it excessive, or rather, downright perverted.
Asking a girl for something that carried her scent? What was the difference from sexual harassment?
“I refuse to give you anything like that,” Jiang Li said. She released her grip on Li Huan’s hand and rolled over to lie back down.
With Jiang Li lying on the pillow, Li Huan’s head was positioned a bit higher.
Just as Jiang Li tugged at the blanket covering her body and prepared to close her eyes, the friction between her skin and the sheets reminded her of what Li Huan had done to her earlier.
Her clothes?!
“Have the security guard at the door send up two sets of clothes,” she ordered.
Jiang Li turned her body and fixed Li Huan with a deathly glare. She refused to believe that this woman planned to laze around with her all day. She might be a loafer fresh back from abroad, but was Li Huan one too?
Seeing Jiang Li roll off her, a visible flicker of regret crossed Li Huan’s face. She quickly schooled her expression and lay down parallel to Jiang Li, facing the same direction.
“Why does Li Li always ignore what I say?” Li Huan sighed wistfully. She scooted closer to Jiang Li and explained patiently, “Didn’t I already tell you? The condition for getting clothes is to make me happy once.”
One instance of making Li Huan happy equaled one piece of clothing.
If Jiang Li wanted a full set to leave the hotel in, even the bare minimum would require at least three items—at least, that’s what Jiang Li calculated based on the most shameless scenario.
That meant even her two undergarments would come from Li Huan, since she was currently in a state of total nudity.
“Hm? Li Li…”
Li Huan blinked, looking puzzled as Jiang Li suddenly reached out and cupped her face, caressing it gently.
Seeing the confusion on Li Huan’s face, Jiang Li followed her impulse and stroked that soft cheek once more before viciously pinching the skin.
She put real force into it. Li Huan gazed at her with wide, teary eyes and softly whimpered that it hurt.
She said it hurt—where was Jiang Li supposed to vent her pent-up rage now? She pinched the soft flesh even harder and glared into Li Huan’s eyes.
“Bear with the pain! Think about what you just said. I think your skin has gotten thicker than ever lately—what’s there to hurt about?”
Even though her scolding was merciless, Jiang Li couldn’t ignore those eyes welling up with tears. She finally eased her grip.
With the soft flesh on her face freed, Li Huan looked up at Jiang Li. She propped her palm under her cheek, squishing the reddened spot slightly as she met Jiang Li’s gaze.
“Li Li’s so heartless,” Li Huan murmured, her eyes shimmering. “You abandoned me five years ago, and now that we’re reunited, you won’t even make me happy once?”
There were countless issues with that statement alone.
Jiang Li raised an eyebrow, ready to refute each one point by point, but Li Huan didn’t give her the chance. Playing the part of the pitiful woman abandoned and forlorn, she listed her grievances one by one.
“After that night, you left me with just a letter and your pheromones before vanishing. Do you know how anxious I was all alone, or how furious I was at myself?”
“After marking you, I’ve had to endure every susceptible period on my own. I’d lose consciousness and crawl all over the room looking for you, sniffing at your scent before collapsing in a heap and coming to again.”
…
One accusation after another, all spilling from Li Huan about herself. Jiang Li seized an opening and interrupted her teary lament, grabbing her shoulders firmly.
“Fine! Tell me what it’ll take to make you happy!”
Without a moment’s hesitation, Li Huan replied, “Move in with me.”
Living together? That was something they’d done five years ago.
Jiang Li had expected some other demand, but all Li Huan wanted was for her to move in together.
Without much hesitation, Jiang Li agreed.
Her assent was straightforward, and with her goal achieved, Li Huan wasted no time. She rolled out of bed and had someone send up clothes.
Finally, Jiang Li wouldn’t have to get out of bed naked.
A pair of eyes trailed after her every move from behind, making it impossible for Jiang Li to ignore it and focus on her own tasks. She turned sharply, arching a brow in inquiry.
“Do you have anything else to say to me?”
“Hm? No, I’m just pondering what else I might take from Li Li.”
Li Huan propped her head on her hand, looking somewhat troubled—or so she said. But Jiang Li’s instincts told her that Li Huan’s gaze was drifting over her sensitive spots from top to bottom, dark and lingering.
It felt like her eyes had licked every inch of Jiang Li’s body.
This time, Jiang Li was completely clear-headed.
What she couldn’t ignore, though, was the implication in Li Huan’s words.
“What do you mean ‘take more’? What have you done to me?”
Jiang Li hugged herself vigilantly. The smile blooming on Li Huan’s face made her shiver, a bad feeling settling in her gut.
After everything just now, she was certain that the person standing before her had a black heart.
During the stretch from last night’s unconscious stupor to this morning’s awakening, had Li Huan done something to her?!
On instinct, Jiang Li touched her fingers and torso, only realizing afterward that she was still fully exposed in Li Huan’s line of sight.
In the end, under Li Huan’s amused and expectant gaze, Jiang Li’s face stiffened as she withdrew her hands, crossing her arms over her chest in a defensive posture.
As if that could shield her from the woman’s “attack.”
Li Huan had noticed Jiang Li’s wariness, of course. After their brief pleasant interlude, she merely chuckled lightly and turned toward her precious collection box.
Treading in her footsteps, Jiang Li followed behind her.
Finally, Li Huan retrieved a transparent glass cup—like those small, sealable ones used in chemistry labs for storing samples.
Inside sloshed a faintly cloudy transparent liquid.
Curious, Jiang Li tilted her chin toward it. “What’s that?”
She’d thought Li Huan would show her whatever it was she’d taken from her before. Instead, it was just this bottle of clear liquid.
Seeing the blank confusion on her face, Li Huan’s smile deepened, momentarily entrancing Jiang Li.
Curling her finger, Li Huan flicked the side of the glass bottle crisply.
The sharp sound echoed softly in the room, and Li Huan’s explanatory voice cut through it straight to Jiang Li’s ears.
“This is Li Li’s water.”
“It’s the memento I took from you, planning to bring it with me.”
Li Li’s water—another addition to her collection.
It was the fluid Li Huan had carefully scooped from Jiang Li herself last night, sealing it away in her porcelain cup. Beneath her thick, dark lashes, the liquid rippled faintly.
The information hidden in her words was overwhelming; Jiang Li couldn’t quite process what she meant at first.
Her water? Where would she have water?
“No way?!” As if she’d suddenly grasped the key, Jiang Li’s eyes widened in disbelief, darting between the bottle by Li Huan’s cheek and her face.
That exquisite, beautiful countenance was holding the porcelain cup right now, smiling warmly at her without a hint of shame for the shocking revelation.
Her narrow eyes curved into crescents as Li Huan took in Jiang Li’s stunned expression and let out a peal of laughter.
Yes, that’s right—Li Li hadn’t guessed wrong.
The liquid in the porcelain cup was one of the most intimate fluids from Li Li herself.
And now, it was part of my collection.
“Are you a pervert?!”
Jiang Li lunged forward in a panic, her face flushed with shame and anger. Cursing Li Huan, she reached to snatch the item from her hand.
Something like that—how could it be kept as a souvenir?!
Li Huan was much taller than Jiang Li. With ease, she raised the cup high out of reach, even if Jiang Li jumped. Her face bore a delighted grin, utterly unfazed by the scolding.
Jiang Li clambered at her repeatedly but never succeeded. Once, she nearly grabbed it, only for Li Huan to deftly switch hands mid-air.
Standing leisurely like the thief she’d become, Li Huan toyed with her as if she were a pet scampering at her feet.
By the end, Jiang Li was too exhausted to continue, and the source of all evil remained beyond her grasp, safe from destruction.
She could only slump on the sofa, powerlessly watching as Li Huan meticulously returned the bottle to the collection box.
“Pervert,” she muttered weakly.
Li Huan placed the item down gently, not minding the slur at all—in fact, it delighted her, like high praise.
The clear click of the lock sounded between them.
Li Huan approached Jiang Li, her brow and eyes carrying that infuriating smile. She dangled the collection box’s key before her, slowly pushing it forward amid Jiang Li’s shocked gaze.
“If Li Li’s ever interested in my collection in the future, you can look anytime.”
As for the risk of destruction, Li Huan merely smiled faintly and said nothing.
“There’s another key too. If you’re interested later, I can give that one to you as well.”
One box wasn’t enough; there was another key.
But since it wasn’t on her person, perhaps it held things too inconvenient to carry?
Jiang Li’s imagination ran wild. Especially now, after Li Huan had shown her one item that had come from her own body…
“I have some tidying up to do at home. I’ll head back first—pack your bags and come find me.”
Li Huan picked up the collection box. Dressed impeccably, shirt buttoned straight, she cut the picture of a serious elite—even the top button was fastened precisely.
Anyone seeing her calm expression would assume she was the epitome of composure.
Only Jiang Li knew better. Her lips pressed down as she regretted her impulsive words earlier, especially catching the predatory glint that flickered in Li Huan’s eyes whenever she glanced her way.
Walking straight into the lion’s den.
No—even worse: delivering herself right to the tiger’s mouth.
“I trust Li Li won’t have trouble finding her way home. Otherwise…”
With that feather-light threat hanging in the air, Li Huan turned and left, abandoning Jiang Li to pound the sofa cushions in frustration.
A flurry of phone rings broke the silence—Li Si calling.
“Hello, Jiang Li. I saw Li Huan leaving the hotel. Are you okay now?” Li Si asked anxiously from the driver’s seat, twisting around excitedly to watch Li Huan depart.
Slouched lazily on the sofa, Jiang Li voiced her observation. “You’ve seemed especially afraid of her doing something to me since earlier. It’s different from before.”
There was a pause on the other end, and Jiang Li blinked before Li Si spoke again, her tone laced with dread.
“I’m not afraid of her doing anything to me. It’s you…”
“You should look into it yourself. Some things…”
Before hanging up, Li Si said gravely, “Li Huan’s been a lunatic these past years.”
