Chapter 008: Conspiracy and Temptation
“Idiot, stop shouting,” Jakedo sneered. “Tyris is my family’s servant. I brought him along this time for support. The reason I didn’t reveal our relationship was to prepare for a day just like this.”
Just as Jakedo said, Tyris walked up from behind, bowed his head slightly, and said deferentially to Jakedo, “Young Master Jakedo, what should we do next?”
“Just sit to the side. I’ll handle it. I’ll reward you double when we get back.”
With just a few words, the fallen Raul’s heart turned completely cold.
Chen Ran sat to the side, completely stunned that something like this would happen.

Jakedo pulled out the short sword. A jet of blood instantly shot out, splattering all over him. His effeminate face now looked exceptionally sinister.
Then, Jakedo walked back to Lia, laughing almost madly as he caressed the side of her face.
“My dear, you have no idea how lovely you are,” Jakedo said, a morbid tenderness on his face. “You’re too stubborn. You can’t feel everything I’ve done for you. Now, I know I can never have your heart, but having your body might be some small compensation. Although, it’s a bit of a shame to only enjoy you once, and it doesn’t quite make up for all my efforts these past few days, but it will make me feel a little better…”

With a rough tug, Lia’s top was torn open, revealing the crimson tube top underneath. Lia looked at Jakedo with shame and anger as he pathologically ripped her clothes. Her face was deathly pale, but she was helpless. At the same time, Jakedo was taking off his own clothes, about to pounce on her.

There was no more room for negotiation in his words. Jakedo simply thought that as a member of the clergy, Chen Ran was likely a man of devout faith, so he would genuinely grant him his wish. He gestured to Tyris. “Finish him, quickly.”
Tyris nodded and strode toward Chen Ran, wanting to take down this powerless priest in one go. But just then, a sudden, dazzling light flashed and blinded him…
And this blinding light, like a small sun, was the new skill Chen Ran had just activated.
Light Screen!
The principle of this skill was simply to emit a blinding light to cause temporary blindness, much like a flashbang. It was an important escape skill for priests in the early stages. The best counter was sunglasses. For an experienced survivalist who had played the game for years, he was quite adept at using this skill.
