Chapter 5: Scum’s Self-Rescue – 5

The moment Su Nanfeng embraced her from behind, Gu Xizhou’s entire body stiffened, and her mind went blank.

Years of being suppressed had left Gu Xizhou not knowing how to fight back. Su Nanfeng’s Alpha scent, a cold fragrance of green tangerine, pressed down on her like a mountain, suffocating her.

And Su Nanfeng wouldn’t let her go. Her icy fingertips pressed against the suppressant patch on the gland at the back of Gu Xizhou’s neck. With playful interest, she said, “Differentiated into an Alpha, huh? What’s your scent?”

Rrrip!

The suppressant patch on Gu Xizhou’s nape was torn off by Su Nanfeng.

An overwhelming wave of rosemary scent burst from Gu Xizhou’s gland, making Su Nanfeng freeze for an instant.

In that very moment, Gu Xizhou heard 0820’s command in her mind: “Elbow her in the chest!”

Without thinking, Gu Xizhou raised her elbow, aimed for Su Nanfeng’s chest, and struck hard.

“Ngh…”

The sharp pain made Su Nanfeng instinctively step back, loosening her grip around Gu Xizhou’s neck.

Gu Xizhou seized the chance, wrenched herself free from her grasp, and bolted for the door.

But she hadn’t taken more than a few steps when Su Nanfeng, recovering quickly, grabbed her by the collar and yanked her back. Looking down at her fiercely, Su Nanfeng snarled, “You have a death wish!”

Only sixteen and a half, Su Nanfeng stood a full 172 cm tall, while the still-developing Gu Xizhou was a mere 158 cm. Moreover, Su Nanfeng had practiced the cello since childhood, giving her astonishing physical strength. After differentiating into an Alpha, Gu Xizhou couldn’t possibly break free from her grip.

The small cat, held in someone’s hand, struggled desperately, her eyes red with anger as she cried out in a low voice, “Let me go!”

Su Nanfeng sneered. Gripping Gu Xizhou’s arms with both hands, she pinned them behind her back and pressed her against the sink counter. “Looks like you’re asking for it, Gu Xizhou.”

With one hand holding Gu Xizhou down, she raised the other and slapped it down hard on Gu Xizhou’s thigh.

Gu Xizhou had endured many beatings from her. In the past, when there was a crowd, Su Nanfeng liked having people hold her down while she punched and kicked the soft parts of her body that wouldn’t leave fatal injuries.

Like her thighs, calves, and buttocks.

But this time, Su Nanfeng was alone in the restroom.

As a clear “Smack!” echoed from her thigh, Gu Xizhou, biting her lip against the pain, gathered all her strength and kicked backward viciously.

Su Nanfeng, with her excellent athletic reflexes, dodged Gu Xizhou’s attack immediately. She laughed coldly, trapped Gu Xizhou’s legs between her own, and locked her in an embrace.

Su Nanfeng secured her, pressed her against the sink counter, made a fist, and delivered a solid blow to Gu Xizhou’s abdomen.

Just one punch was enough to make Gu Xizhou’s stomach churn and stars burst before her eyes.

Dizzy from the pain, she heard 0820 screaming in her mind: “Bite her! Bite her!”

“Use your teeth!”

“Don’t think about the consequences of biting her! Even if your mother loses her job, that’s not a consequence you should carry.”

“You’re being bullied, so fight back!”

Su Nanfeng threw another punch, slamming it fiercely into Gu Xizhou’s abdomen.

At that very moment, like a vicious dog beyond control, Gu Xizhou spun around and sank her teeth savagely into Su Nanfeng’s shoulder.

The thin blazer couldn’t stop her sharp teeth. Gu Xizhou bit down with ferocious force, as if trying to tear a chunk of flesh from Su Nanfeng’s body.

Su Nanfeng’s movements halted instantly. She hissed in pain, shoved Gu Xizhou away violently, causing her to crash hard against the sink counter.

Su Nanfeng roared in fury, “Gu Xizhou, you want to die!”

The bones of her slender waist slammed painfully into the edge of the sink, pain shooting through Gu Xizhou’s scalp. But she staggered to her feet and, like a crazed rabbit, lunged at Su Nanfeng viciously.

This thin, frail girl, enduring pain throughout her entire body, crashed into Su Nanfeng like a cannonball, sending them both tumbling to the ground.

Su Nanfeng’s tall body hit the floor hard, the back of her head slamming against the ground.

“Hsss…”

But Gu Xizhou didn’t care. She pinned Su Nanfeng’s arms and straddled her, then aimed for her face and bit down fiercely.

“Aaargh…”

A sharp scream rang out. Ding Yi, waiting outside the restroom door, rushed in upon hearing the commotion. “Nanfeng…”

Su Nanfeng struggled, raising her hands, desperately trying to push the crazed rabbit off her. She shouted angrily, “Get her off me!”

The sturdily built Ding Yi ran over and kicked Gu Xizhou hard in the side of her abdomen. “Get lost!”

Gu Xizhou grunted in pain, released Su Nanfeng’s shoulder, and fell off her, curling up pitifully on the ground clutching her stomach.

Her eyes were red, brimming with unshed tears, yet she still glared fiercely at Su Nanfeng.

Pulled up from the floor by Ding Yi, Su Nanfeng looked down at Gu Xizhou curled up on the floor. Rage blazed within her. She raised her leg and aimed a vicious kick at Gu Xizhou’s abdomen. “You’re dead!”

Just as her kick lashed out, a voice filled with shock rang from the restroom entrance: “Su Nanfeng!”

Su Nanfeng and Ding Yi whirled around towards the source of the voice.

There stood Su Zhiyi, dressed neatly with a slender frame, clutching the doorframe. She stared at them in disbelief, her face a mask of shock. “What are you doing!”

Su Zhiyi’s gaze traveled downwards and landed on the pitiful figure curled up on the floor, clutching her own stomach. Her nose stung, and her eyes instantly brimmed with tears, her voice taking on a sobbing tone. “Why are you hitting someone!”

Su Nanfeng’s expression changed instantly. Her hair a mess, she pressed her lips tightly together, watching Su Zhiyi walk towards them.

Su Zhiyi went to Gu Xizhou’s side, crouched down, and gently placed her hand on Gu Xizhou’s thin shoulder.

Fighting back tears, she glanced at Gu Xizhou beside her, then looked up at Su Nanfeng. Large teardrops rolled down her cheeks. “Su Nanfeng…”

“How could you…”

“How did you become like this…”

Su Nanfeng looked down and saw the disappointment and incomprehension in her sister’s eyes. She felt as if an iron nail had been driven into her spine. Her entire body turned ice-cold.

Su Zhiyi helped Gu Xizhou up and took her to the infirmary.

Along the way, Su Nanfeng, with Ding Yi in tow, ignored the pain in her shoulder and followed distantly behind Su Zhiyi, cold and silent.

Su Zhiyi ignored her own sister. She supported Gu Xizhou to the infirmary door and called out anxiously, “Doctor, please look at my classmate…”

“She was kicked in the stomach.”

The female Beta doctor came out quickly. Seeing the pale-faced Gu Xizhou being supported in Su Zhiyi’s arms, she frowned. “What happened here?”

Gu Xizhou had been hit multiple times and was in too much pain to speak.

Su Zhiyi immediately spoke for her. “I saw her being bullied in the restroom and kicked in the stomach. I didn’t know if it would cause serious problems.”

The doctor’s face changed color. She quickly reached out to support Gu Xizhou, saying urgently, “A kick to the abdomen could be dangerous. What class are you in? Contact the homeroom teacher quickly and send her to the hospital for an examination.”

There was a flurry of activity, and finally, Song Qiao took Gu Xizhou to the hospital.

Considering she had been beaten by Su Nanfeng and Ding Yi to the point of hospitalization, the school did not overlook the matter.

After the school doctor had treated the bite wounds on Su Nanfeng’s face and shoulder, the Dean of Students summoned Su Nanfeng, Ding Yi, and Su Zhiyi to the office.

Inside the office, the air conditioning was on full blast. The three girls stood side-by-side in front of the desk, awaiting reprimand.

The female Dean, with her hair pinned up in a high bun, sat upright at her computer desk. With a stern expression, she looked at the tall, indifferent girl opposite her and asked in a deep voice, “Su Nanfeng, exactly what conflict occurred between you and Gu Xizhou in the restroom?”

Hearing the Dean’s question, Su Zhiyi couldn’t help but turn her head to look at her twin sister.

Su Nanfeng turned her head away, displaying the bite marks on her face. With red eyes, she bit her lip lightly, putting on an aggrieved expression. “Teacher, I didn’t start the fight.”

Having lied for years, Su Nanfeng was well-versed in the art of the squeaky wheel getting the grease. In front of teachers, she presented a completely different face than the one shown to her victim, Gu Xizhou.

Blessed with good looks, when she wasn’t being vicious, her aura was almost as gentle and seemingly harmless as Su Zhiyi’s.

The sharp-featured Dean wavered somewhat at her demeanor.

But Su Zhiyi was different. As her twin sister, despite years of forced separation, she could tell which of her sister’s emotions were real and which were fake.

Watching her sister’s act, Su Zhiyi’s eyes widened. She’s lying!

Why is she lying?

Just then, Ding Yi chimed in from the side. “It was Gu Xizhou who had sticky fingers first.”

Su Zhiyi turned her gaze to see Ding Yi speaking with conviction. “We went to the same middle school as her. She was always doing petty thievery, a well-known thief in school.”

“Today, Nanfeng and I were using the restroom. While washing her hands, Nanfeng placed her watch on the sink, and Gu Xizhou took it. We caught her.”

“We told her to return the watch, but she denied it and fought back, getting so angry she hit Nanfeng first…”

Su Zhiyi’s eyes gradually widened. Watching Ding Yi lie without flinching, her voice trembled. “You’re lying! Both of you!”
