“Please, Miss Si.”
Sixu watched her put on a serious act, mimicking a chauffeur. Her haughty gaze swept over Ah Man’s face. With a light snort, she got into the passenger seat, still holding the two bouquets.
Sixu observed the car’s interior and remarked with refined elegance, “It’s decent.”
Ah Man reached over to take the bouquets from her arms. They were too large and bulky, making it impossible to buckle the seatbelt. But Sixu leaned back defensively, glaring at her. She didn’t say a word, but Ah Man understood her meaning perfectly.
“I’m just putting them in the back. I’m not stealing your flowers.” What a child.
Seeing how much Sixu genuinely loved the two bouquets she had given her, the curve of her lips was undeniable. It was just flowers, after all; this was easy to handle.
Ah Man waved her slender, long fingers over the empty back seat. The bracelet on her wrist chimed, drawing Sixu’s gaze.
“Sixu, look.”
As the pink glow faded, a stunning array of colorful flowers appeared on the back seat, as if transporting Sixu to a fairyland of blossoms.
Sixu’s cherry lips parted slightly in amazement. The spirit and joy in her eyes made her seem far less distant and cold.
In these few short days of contact, Ah Man had come to feel that Sixu was just pretending to be overly mature. She could laugh so vividly, yet she always suppressed her true nature.
If a simple spell could make her smile, Ah Man would never be stingy with it.
She playfully snapped her fingers, and a cascade of petals began to fall from the car’s ceiling like a dazzling, colorful rain of flowers.
Startled, Sixu quickly used her hands to shield her hair, afraid the petals would get tangled in the strands and be impossible to remove.
But she discovered the petals vanished upon touching her skin, leaving behind only a faint, shimmering fluorescence.
“You scared me!”
Sixu questioned Ah Man, her hands still frozen in the motion of protecting her head. Normally, she maintained the aloof demeanor of a celestial maiden. But now, because of Ah Man’s teasing, Sixu was tinged with a more earthly, human quality.
Ah Man couldn’t hold back her laughter. Sixu’s current state was simply too amusing.
She turned away, feigning nonchalance, but her shaking shoulders were a clear giveaway she wasn’t even trying to hide.
Sixu was so angry her cheeks flushed. She had never suffered such an indignity before. Her delicate face tilted up slightly, and a wicked smile graced her lips. “Ah Man, turn around. I want you to call yourself a big scoundrel.”
The power of their bond activated once more.
Ah Man turned to face Sixu. Her smiling eyes were bright and amorous. She leaned closer to Sixu, deliberately lowering her voice into an alluring, heart-stirring tone.
“I am a big scoundrel.”
As Ah Man approached, Sixu instinctively shifted back. When she found herself against the car door with no room to retreat, she could only meet Ah Man’s gaze during her advance.
That single glance made it impossible for Sixu to look away.
Because the woman before her was too enchantingly beautiful. At this proximity, she could even see the fine, soft hairs on Ah Man’s face.
Under Ah Man’s gaze, Sixu’s cool, elegant face gradually flushed.
“I am a big scoundrel.”
Ah Man repeated herself. This time, Sixu couldn’t suppress her frustration and snapped, “Shut up!”
She was supposed to be punishing Ah Man, so why was she the one feeling flustered?
Ah Man blinked, her eyes alluring and seductive. She breathed out, her fragrance like orchids, and leaned close to Sixu’s neck. “I noticed you were sneaking glances at my lips again. Tell me, did you want to kiss me again?”
Sixu’s expression flickered. Ah Man’s words had hit their mark. Embarrassment turning to anger, Sixu simply acted. She grabbed Ah Man’s shoulders, pulling her close, and ground out through clenched teeth, “Yes! So what? I’ll kiss if I want to, and I won’t if I don’t!”
The moment the words left her mouth, Ah Man’s lips landed on the corner of her mouth. The tip of her tongue gently teased Sixu’s lips. Her gaze deep, Ah Man murmured, “You’re absolutely right. And right now, I want to kiss you.”
Her hand found a button, and the seat instantly reclined. Startled, Sixu tightly clutched Ah Man. “What are you doing?”
Ah Man smiled, her unrestrained gaze like an invisible hand stripping away Sixu’s layers of clothing one by one.
She stroked Sixu’s hair and turned off the interior lights. The emotion in her eyes was intense, her voice melodious. “Just kissing you.”
Sixu was angered into laughter. She rolled her eyes and fiercely grabbed Ah Man’s hand. “Then what is your hand doing! Tao Man!”
Ah Man pouted playfully and nuzzled her cheek against Sixu’s cheek. “I have no idea,” she whined.
“Tao Man!” A sudden tremor entered Sixu’s voice, laced with panic, as if something that shouldn’t happen was happening.
After a long while, the fragrance of flowers permeated the surroundings. Paired with Ah Man’s sweet, soft voice, any remaining anger in Sixu completely dissipated.
Sixu didn’t know if it was the bond or something else.
She had actually begun to yearn for Ah Man, too. She didn’t resist Ah Man’s touch; instead, she found herself sinking and falling into the intimacy.
She could have commanded Ah Man to stop kissing her. But this demon was so fragrant, so beautiful… she couldn’t bear to call a halt.
Was this truly a Peach Blossom Demon? Why was she so alluring, so utterly irresistible?
Sixu fell into doubt.
Damp with fragrant perspiration, Sixu was covered in Ah Man’s scent. She opened her dewy eyes, cupped Ah Man’s face, and murmured, “You must be a mutant. You should have been a fox demon.”
Ah Man giggled. Using her fingers like a comb, she tidied Sixu’s long hair. Knowing she was dealing with a pampered young lady, Ah Man diligently helped her dress. “Whatever kind of demon I am doesn’t matter, as long as I can captivate you.”
Sixu patted her face. After that release of emotion, she found she couldn’t maintain a cold attitude toward this woman. So her expression, laced with tender affection, was strikingly beautiful.
“Sly demon.”
“I’m fragrant! Don’t believe me? Smell, smell!”
Like an affectionate puppy, she nuzzled against Sixu’s neck, drawing a helpless look from Sixu, who complained, “Ugh, you’re so annoying!”
“You yelled at me.”
Sixu tugged her ear, threatening, “I’m very hungry now. You have one hour. If I don’t see a meal, you… are finished.”
Ah Man sighed dramatically. “I’m just a poor little thing.”
“Tao Man.” Sixu’s gaze shifted from warm to cold, speaking her name in a soft yet dangerous whisper.
That instantly deflated Ah Man.
“Alright, alright, I know. Don’t yell at me.”
As Ah Man focused on driving, Sixu rolled down the window and rested her cheek on her hand, feeling the evening breeze. Perhaps even she didn’t notice how serene and beautiful her expression was at that moment.
Sixu followed Ah Man from the parking lot, taking the elevator up to the 8th floor.
Sixu commented flatly, “You moved?”
Ah Man wrapped an arm around her shoulder, a gesture she seemed fond of. “Living above the shop was fine for just me, but now I have you, don’t I?”
Sixu raised an eyebrow, remaining silent. The words were pleasant enough. It seemed this demon did know how to be considerate after all.
“Sixu, you should register your fingerprint too.”
She didn’t hesitate. Since it was offered, she would register it.
“Someday I’ll take you to my place. You can register there, too,” Sixu said calmly, noticing Ah Man’s eyes light up.
Sixu couldn’t help but poke her dimple. “So happy.”
“Of course.”
Once inside, Sixu was about to sit on the sofa when Ah Man pulled her back up.
She asked coldly, “What now?”
Ah Man smiled charmingly. “I forgot, there are no groceries in the fridge. Come with me to the supermarket.”
The image of two girlfriends holding hands, shopping for food to stock their shared home—Ah Man imagined it would be a very heartwarming scene.
But Sixu refused. “No need for you to cook. I’ll call a private kitchen; they’ll deliver.”
To Sixu, this was simply a waste of time. An empty fridge could be filled by sending someone; she didn’t need to burden herself with this task.
“No! You have to come with me.” Ah Man didn’t understand. Wasn’t it nice for two people to walk around the supermarket together? Why would Sixu not want to go?
Sixu’s face remained expressionless, showing no sign of yielding. “I said, I’m not going.” Her lips pressed into a tight line, signaling her extremely poor mood.
She disliked Ah Man’s lack of understanding.
Ah Man made to pick her up, but Sixu nimbly dodged, moving behind the sofa to look at her.
Ah Man sighed a helpless laugh. “You really won’t go?”
Sixu wanted to quickly dismiss this idea. “I’m a little tired, so I don’t want to go.”
Hearing this, Ah Man looked at Sixu’s unenthusiastic face. She frowned and walked toward her, her beautiful eyes full of apology. “Was I too overbearing in the car earlier, wearing you out? Sorry, Sixu, I didn’t take good care of you.”
She gently rubbed Sixu’s hair, her voice as soft as her touch.
Sixu’s displeasure was instantly swept away by Ah Man’s actions and concern. Under Ah Man’s care, she felt ashamed of her own earlier childishness.
She couldn’t help but hug Ah Man, whose slender waist seemed as if it might snap with just a little force. Sixu shook her head in Ah Man’s embrace. “No.” It wasn’t like that. So please don’t apologize to me.
“Then we won’t go to the supermarket. You call the private kitchen.”
Sixu responded with a muffled sound of agreement. She hadn’t told the truth before; she simply hadn’t wanted to go. Because Ah Man had seemed a bit insistent, she’d said she was tired, never expecting Ah Man to take the blame upon herself.
Clearly, she was the one throwing a tantrum.
She didn’t want Ah Man to blame herself, but she also didn’t want to lower her head and explain.
“Ah Man, am I very annoying?” Sixu murmured.
“How could you be? You’re clearly adorable. Sharp tongue, soft heart; a cold face, but a warm heart. Those idioms were practically made for you.”
Sixu couldn’t help but curve her lips. “Just coaxing me.”
Ah Man keenly sensed Sixu’s mood improving, so she couldn’t resist teasing her a bit more. “How is telling the truth coaxing you? Sixu, has no one ever praised you like this before?”
“…” Indeed, she should never have felt guilty about this demon.
“Ah! Ow! That hurts!”
Sixu released the pinch on her. “It’s supposed to hurt. Come on, let’s go to the supermarket,” she said petulantly.
Hmm, well I think you’re a bit annoying so… lol
