Chapter 97

Wei Shuyu’s ears suspiciously turned red. She turned her head away, avoiding Jin Yizhu’s gaze, which instead exposed her earlobes and neck—delicate, fair skin tinged with a subtle pink.

The kiss marks from last night had not yet faded. Jin Yizhu’s fingertips landed on her neck, gently brushing over the traces she had left, moving toward her ear and drawing even closer until the distance became ambiguously intimate.

“Why aren’t you talking?” Jin Yizhu’s voice carried a laugh as she planted a light kiss on her ear, asking pointedly, “Wei Shuyu, why are you so easily shy?”

“It seems like we can eat now,” Wei Shuyu changed the subject. “Ah Hao is still here. Don’t say random things.”

“She doesn’t understand Chinese,” Jin Yizhu replied with a beaming smile. “You know that. She’s Filipino.”

Ah Hao finished setting the table, her eyes fixed straight ahead at the glass window outside. She calmly informed them that dinner was ready. Upon seeing Jin Yizhu nod, she immediately removed her apron, changed her shoes, and left in one smooth motion.

Jin Yizhu watched her retreating figure and chuckled softly. With great innocence, she said, “It seems like we scared her.”

Wei Shuyu got up from her embrace and pushed her into the walk-in closet.

Once inside the walk-in closet, Jin Yizhu rummaged through the loungewear, intending to pick out a set that matched Wei Shuyu’s style. Even while changing, she didn’t forget to ask:

“Don’t you want me to keep wearing the suit?”

“I do, but wearing a suit at home isn’t comfortable.”

Wei Shuyu leaned against the door of the walk-in closet and said flatly:

“Anyway, if I want to see it, I should be able to see it anytime, right?”

“Yeah, that’s true,” Jin Yizhu hadn’t changed yet and turned back out from the closet. “But if I don’t change, it’ll make you more comfortable.”

“…”

Wei Shuyu’s face turned red again.

“What are you suddenly saying…”

She wanted to push Jin Yizhu back into the closet, but as soon as she reached out, Jin Yizhu caught her wrist.

The moment skin touched skin, the temperature seemed to rise instantly. The air filled with an indescribable atmosphere. Wei Shuyu took a deep breath and inexplicably felt a bit nervous.

Her mouth felt dry, her tongue parched, followed by her heartbeat, which quickened by a few beats.

Wei Shuyu clearly felt her heart contracting slightly. Blood flowed through her veins to her shoulders, neck, arms, and calves, coursing through every part of her body. Jin Yizhu’s smile was dazzling. She didn’t use much force, but the way she pulled her into her arms felt overwhelmingly dominant.

Was it because of this outfit?

The crisp suit, with its stiff fabric, outlined her shoulder and waist lines. Intricate subtle patterns adorned it. When it pressed against the skin, there was a slight coolness. Jin Yizhu gripped her shoulders, forcing her to lean into her embrace.

Could it even be called forcing? It was just a bit more decisive than usual. Her gaze was gentle like the deep sea, drawing her in to drown without escape.

“Just a kiss shouldn’t be a problem, right?”

Jin Yizhu’s kiss fell. At a time like this, she seriously sought her opinion, her tone calm as if discussing a business deal.

“Or do you want to do something else?”

Wei Shuyu was kissed breathless. Her ear filled with Jin Yizhu’s soft, steady voice. She thought that this person’s gentleness was just another form of dominance.

Her breath was taken away, her heartbeat even faster. Between their lips and tongues was all of Jin Yizhu’s taste. She didn’t know what perfume Jin Yizhu had used today—the top notes light as water—but held in her arms, it felt rich and alluring, impossible to escape.

“I…”

Wei Shuyu didn’t want to tell the truth. She just looked at her, and in that dazed fascination, said something insincere:

“Aren’t we supposed to eat?”

“We can eat you first.”

Jin Yizhu smiled at her, suddenly exuding a playboyish air for no reason.

“What do you think?”

In the scorching kiss, Wei Shuyu was led into the walk-in closet and pressed down onto the sofa. Jin Yizhu kissed her neck, tracing the marks from last night, once again declaring her hidden possessiveness.

Wei Shuyu was kissed into a daze and said disjointedly, “So you washed your hands right after coming home for this…”

“No, it was for hygiene,” Jin Yizhu nibbled her ear. “Wash hands often, ventilate more. Haven’t you heard?”

“I…”

Wei Shuyu wanted to continue, those familiar words probably from some ad, but Jin Yizhu’s kisses were fine and dense, her breath too hot, nearly burning away all her reason.

Her nightgown was hiked up to her waist. Jin Yizhu held her, pinching her chin to make her lift her head.

Wei Shuyu didn’t understand, but at a time like this, she never refused what Jin Yizhu wanted. She obediently lifted her head. Jin Yizhu leaned to her ear and whispered:

“Keep your eyes open. Look properly.”

She didn’t know what Jin Yizhu wanted her to see, but she looked anyway.

The moment she opened her eyes, the large mirror in the walk-in closet entered her sight. She was also thrust by Jin Yizhu and instinctively bit her lip. The person in the mirror showed an expression of grievance and indulgence. Jin Yizhu pressed her waist and asked her seriously:

“Do you see clearly? What you look like right now.”

Wei Shuyu didn’t want to look, but Jin Yizhu wouldn’t let her close her eyes and pinched her waist, not letting her escape.

She had to look at the mirror, at herself held in Jin Yizhu’s arms. Jin Yizhu was impeccably dressed in that sharp suit, while her own gown was disheveled, her skin covered in red marks. Jin Yizhu shackled her body and her desire, making her stare at the mirror and at herself, forcing her to admit that her soul was now gripped in her hand.

Wei Shuyu turned her head away. She couldn’t answer such a question from Jin Yizhu.

The next second, Jin Yizhu pinched her chin again. Amid the entwining kiss, she was brought right to the mirror. The cold mirror surface pressed against her palm. She was forced to brace against it, while Jin Yizhu stayed behind her, the embrace growing sparse.

“Jin Yizhu…”

Wei Shuyu couldn’t stand this feeling. It was like she had been exiled, and Jin Yizhu was the judge, deciding her life and death. She pleaded softly:

“I don’t like this…”

“Is that so?”

Jin Yizhu pressed against her, planting a kiss in the hollow of her waist. The rhythm quickened a bit.

Her voice was low, laced with amusement, as she said:

“If you don’t like it, then why are you feeling it?”

Wei Shuyu bit her lip. She didn’t want to make a sound. She could control herself, but Jin Yizhu could control her too. The vortex of desire was like the deep sea—once trapped, escape was impossible.

Hateful position, hateful breathing, hateful heat. Hateful. She clearly hated it, but why did the her in the mirror show that expression? Wei Shuyu didn’t want to look. She’d never seen herself like this. She clearly hated it…

Her legs trembled. If Jin Yizhu weren’t gripping her waist, she couldn’t have continued standing before the mirror. The fingertips pressed to the glass grew damp. Wei Shuyu felt hot, then cold. Amid her chaotic breathing, she didn’t know what she said. Jin Yizhu whispered seductive coaxing in her ear, urging her to admit she loved it, that it felt good, to beg her. She might have said it all, or nothing. Her dizzy mind couldn’t think. In the near-annihilating tide, Wei Shuyu only managed a cry-laced plea.

She said, “Jin Yizhu, hold me.”

Her voice was soft, floating lightly. Her movements were light too, like a kitten’s strength. Jin Yizhu’s fevered thoughts cooled for a second. She just found her so pitiful and cute. She’d said no so many times, yet was still tightly shackled by her, even her soul burning for her. She really wasn’t a good person. She should stop—Wei Shuyu was begging her—but why didn’t she want to stop at all? She just found her so cute, too cute, cute enough to devour in one bite. If she couldn’t devour her, then she had to keep her by her side forever, turn her into a treasure belonging only to herself.

Even at a time like this, she only said, Hold me, Jin Yizhu. Hold me.

Jin Yizhu held her, letting her lean into her arms. She knew what Wei Shuyu liked and what she didn’t.

Wei Shuyu liked gentle dominance, liked being soothed, liked controlling the rhythm. More than being controlled, she liked controlling others. Jin Yizhu knew well that Wei Shuyu liked being possessed by her but not pure possessiveness.

Even so…

Even so, even if she didn’t like it, she still indulged her possessiveness, letting her leave marks on her body, letting her pinch her chin to make her look, letting her take what she wanted without full gentleness.

A faint guilt rose in Jin Yizhu’s heart. She kissed Wei Shuyu’s earlobe, held her back to the sofa, letting her find support. Only then did she notice that Wei Shuyu was trembling all over, shrinking into her arms, clutching her collar, lifting her face to kiss her proactively.

Messy kisses, devoid of technique, only unease and longing remained. Wei Shuyu’s eyes reddened at the corners. When she kissed her, it seemed Jin Yizhu could taste something salty.

Jin Yizhu belatedly realized she had gone too far.

She responded to Wei Shuyu’s kiss, urgent and fast like a rain-soaked kitten desperately proving it belonged somewhere. Wei Shuyu trembled in her arms. Jin Yizhu held her tighter, patted her back, kissed her earlobe.

“Did I go too far?” she whispered in Wei Shuyu’s ear, guilt spreading into more tenderness. “Just now, I… couldn’t hold back. You were just too cute.”

Too cute. Wanted just a bit more. Once reason vanished, restraint evaporated, leaving only possessiveness rampant—wanting her to belong only to herself, wanting more marks on her body.

Jin Yizhu pressed close, gently nuzzling her cheek to soothe her heart.

“…It felt good, but don’t do it like that next time.”

Wei Shuyu kept her eyes closed, her voice a bit hoarse. It took a long time before she spoke:

“I really thought I was going to die.”

“Did I scare you?” Jin Yizhu asked softly, planting another kiss at the corner of her lips. “I’ll hold back more next time.”

“I don’t believe you…” Wei Shuyu’s voice was soft as she buried her face in her chest. “You left me all messed up.”

“Then let’s take a shower first, okay?” Jin Yizhu coaxed gently. “Are you hungry?”

“Hungry,” Wei Shuyu said. “I don’t want to look at the mirror.”

She didn’t want to lift her head from Jin Yizhu’s arms. Once she calmed down, just thinking of what happened in the walk-in closet made her feel like she was burning up.

Didn’t want to see the mirror, didn’t want to see the suit, didn’t want to see the walk-in closet… Too embarrassing.

“Weren’t you liking the mirror just now?” Jin Yizhu couldn’t help being sassy again, naturally earning a glare from Wei Shuyu. “My bad, my bad. I won’t look at you. You go shower first, okay?”

“Who cares if you look at me? I don’t want to look at myself,” Wei Shuyu took a deep breath. “I’ll go shower first. You remove your makeup.”

She got up from Jin Yizhu’s arms. The moment she stood, her knees buckled slightly. Wei Shuyu belatedly remembered she’d been standing like that in front of the mirror…

Jin Yizhu steadied her, helping her stand firm. Seeing her ears quietly turn red, she chuckled lowly again.

“No laughing.”

“Okay, okay, no laughing. Go shower. I’ll be quick.”

“No need for you to be quick.”

“Hey, I didn’t say I was joining you. Why so panicked?”

“Jin Yizhu, I suggest you stop talking now.”

“So heartless. You just said you loved me.”

Jin Yizhu said to let her shower alone, but she still followed behind. She watched her enter the bathroom and only went to remove her makeup after hearing the sound of running water.

By the time they finished removing makeup, showering, and changing—a full routine—the lights outside had come on, and night had deepened.

Ah Hao had just prepared dinner, but now it was mostly cold.

Fortunately, it was Chinese food today. Just pop it in the microwave to heat up, and it would be ready to eat.

When Jin Yizhu, changed into fresh clothes, walked into the dining room, Wei Shuyu was still sitting on the sofa, gazing at the night view through the floor-to-ceiling window. She didn’t know what she was thinking—her gaze had no specific focus, looking a bit dazed, different from her usual self.

Jin Yizhu found it amusing. After putting dinner in the microwave, she quietly walked over to the sofa and hugged her from behind. Wei Shuyu jumped in fright, her thin shoulders and back trembling slightly. Once she realized what was happening, she relaxed again.

“What are you watching?”

Jin Yizhu asked her. She glanced at the bag of nuts on the coffee table and knew she had just eaten something, so she wouldn’t be hungry enough for a stomachache. Relieved, she smiled and said:

“You knew to eat something to tide you over first. Good job.”

“I’m not an idiot…” Wei Shuyu muttered, feeling a bit awkward. “Not watching anything, just don’t feel like moving…”

From an efficiency standpoint, since she had showered first, it would have been faster for her to put the food in the microwave rather than wait for Jin Yizhu to come out and heat it. But she felt utterly lazy all over, really didn’t want to do anything, and just wanted to lie on the sofa and rest for a bit.

“Then don’t move.”

Jin Yizhu casually grabbed a few placemats and tossed them onto the coffee table, saying:

“Let’s eat here. Want to watch TV?”

“Yeah,” Wei Shuyu reached out to her. “Remote.”

Jin Yizhu handed her the remote. She watched as Wei Shuyu curled up amid a pile of pillows and started flipping through the TV channels one by one, and couldn’t help feeling amused.

“Why are you laughing?” Wei Shuyu caught her expression and asked. “Did I do something?”

“Nothing.”

Jin Yizhu arranged the dinner on the coffee table and shoved the bowls and chopsticks into her hands, saying:

“It’s just that I suddenly felt like I was raising a little cat at home.”

In the third year of becoming her canary, I fell in love with her. My boss was exquisite and beautiful, gentle and considerate, a graduate of a top prestigious school. Her office overlooked the Victoria night view. She was the quintessential Minato Ward eldest miss. But she had a fiancé. - The day Jin Yizhu announced the broken engagement, the Mid-Levels was shaken. "You match him perfectly in status and grew up together from childhood. Now you just call it off?!" Her father could no longer maintain decorum. He slammed the table and roared, "I don't care if you keep a little girl outside, but this kind of nonsense won't do!" Jin Yizhu's brows and eyes remained cold. She merely swept her gaze over them, and the table full of finely dressed men and women fell silent. "It's just a marriage alliance. There were no feelings to begin with, so why can't I call it off?" - The day I prepared to leave, Hong Kong was deluged by a torrential downpour. Jin Yizhu, who had gone out to a banquet, rushed back. Even her hair strands dripped with water. She held me, her voice hoarse, almost pleading: "Wei Shuyu, can you not leave?" I did not soften. I merely wiped her hair dry for her: "Jin Yizhu, we agreed. The day you get married, that's the day I leave." "But I broke off the engagement," Jin Yizhu replied. "You can never leave now." - Eldest Miss Jin had grown addicted to keeping her canary. She even broke off her engagement for her. Yet no one had ever seen what this rumored canary looked like. Until the new year's film exhibition, when Jin Yizhu attended alone. Someone with ill intentions asked her: "Miss Jin, have you grown tired of your canary?" Jin Yizhu lifted her chin slightly, a gentle smile directed at the stage as she said: "You mean my wife? She's receiving her award."
