Chapter 28: Return to the Scene of the Crime
Luo Yuxi walked through the house, opening every door, searching for Doris. Doris had said her house was big, but Luo Yuxi hadn’t expected a half-castle bordering the street.
“Really, so many rooms, where is she?”
Luo Yuxi kicked a wall in frustration. Although she couldn’t fully trust Doris yet, having her around was safer for gathering information in the Witch Kingdom. Her nun’s habit practically screamed “Church,” her faith radiating outwards.
“With her by my side, it’ll be safer to investigate…”
“As you wish, Master~”
“!!!”
A voice behind her startled Luo Yuxi. Doris stood there, smiling, dressed in her butler uniform, a monocle on her left eye, looking refined and gentle.
“Really, can’t you make any noise when you walk? You scared me!”
“I do make noise, I was just too fast, the sound couldn’t keep up~”
“You— I’m not just casually chatting with you…!”
“Shh, I understand~”
Luo Yuxi was about to reprimand Doris. Although she had seduced her with her beauty, there still needed to be some boundaries. But Doris gently placed a finger on her lips, silencing her.
“Mmm…!”
“A clever butler doesn’t need their Master to make requests~”
Doris snapped her fingers, and the scene shifted. Luo Yuxi found herself in a lounge chair, a glass of freshly squeezed juice in her hand.
“I… I didn’t ask you to—!”
“You want me to take you to gather information on witches, right? It’s okay, I understand~”
Doris snapped her fingers again, and the scene shifted once more. Luo Yuxi was now lying on a soft bed. She angrily threw the glass on the floor.
“You brought me to a bed to gather information on witches?! I’ve already paid my dues! Don’t even think about it!”
“But this is the best place to gather information on witches~”
“What?! What kind of information gathering happens in bed?! I think you just—! Wait, why does this bed look so familiar?”
Luo Yuxi suddenly realized where she was. The familiar white sheets and ancient stone walls brought back unpleasant memories. She clutched her head.
“This… this is…!”
“Master, you have such a poor memory~ This is where we had our first wonderful night~”
“You! Why did you bring me here?!”
Luo Yuxi realized she was back in the Seven Deadly Sins Witches’ lair, the room where she was supposed to be kept as a canary. As the scene solidified, her blocked memories returned.
“It hurts, my head hurts…”
She remembered Doris’s rough treatment, the marks left on her body, despite her pleas for mercy.
“I remember now, you were the one who—!”
“Shh~”
“Shh, what shh! Don’t think dressing up like a butler will make me forget what you did…!”

Luo Yuxi turned towards the sound and saw a succubus standing at the door, her legs trembling as she looked at Doris, her eyes filled with terror.
“L-Lady Wrath, y-you’re back…”
Doris simply glanced at her, and the succubus collapsed, a puddle of liquid spreading beneath her. Luo Yuxi was shocked. A single glance from Doris had made the succubus wet herself.
“Get out…”
“Y-Yes!”
The succubus scrambled out of the room as if fleeing a monster.
“Master, there are no more interruptions now. Please continue reprimanding me~”
“It’s… it’s fine…”
Luo Yuxi, seeing this, felt a chill run down her spine. She had forgotten how dangerous Doris could be. She had been lulled into a false sense of security by Doris calling her “Master.” If not for her beauty, she wouldn’t stand a chance against Doris, not even ten of her.
“I should be more careful…”
“Master, what are you saying~?”
“Nothing, nothing…”
Luo Yuxi no longer dared to reprimand Doris. She had lost sight of their power dynamic, seduced by Doris’s sweet words. If not for her beauty, she would be nothing more than a punching bag.
“If there’s nothing else, Master, you can ask this guest any questions you have~”
“How sad, being called a guest in my own territory~”
Luo Yuxi saw the familiar crimson hair and demonic horns at the door. It was Ruo Li, the succubus behind her the same one Doris had just scared away.
“What’s with that ridiculous outfit? It makes me want to vomit~”
Ruo Li’s disgust was evident. She had overheard their conversation and knew Doris had betrayed them. She looked at Luo Yuxi.
“How did this lewd nun manage to seduce a loli-lover like you~?”
“That’s none of your business. Master has some questions for you, just answer them…”
“You’re strong, but you think I’m afraid of you~?”
