Chapter 87: Onwards
A massive roar ripped through the forest. Luo Yuxi looked up and saw a giant figure blocking her path. She looked at the three giant girls who had passed over her earlier, their massive, leather-bound legs towering over her.
“Such a large monster, how lucky~”
The beast, which could have crushed her with a single blow, was now being pummeled by a giant girl. The force of the impact created a shockwave, and the beast, seeing a creature its own size, backed away in fear.
“This monster is so fat, its meat must be tender~”
The giant girl licked her lips and picked up her axe. The weapon was so large, it looked like she was wielding a house. With a single swing, the air cracked, and the beast’s hard horns were sliced off like tofu. The force of the blow even split a nearby mountain in two, sending rocks tumbling down. Luo Yuxi quickly ran for cover.
“I’m going to make you into a kebab!”
The giant girl looked at the beast, already imagining her future meal. Luo Yuxi watched in awe. So this is how giants fight, every step like an earthquake.
“This is more entertaining than watching witches fight. No, wait, this is more like a hunt…”
Luo Yuxi looked at the gruesome scene. The monster that had almost turned her into a pancake was now being beaten to a pulp, its blood splattering everywhere. She couldn’t bear to watch.
Crack!
“That should be enough for today’s hunt~”
The giant girl sat on the monster’s body, grabbed its horns, and twisted, the sound of breaking bones echoing through the forest. Luo Yuxi cautiously emerged from her hiding place.
“So brutal. Although they’re big, they’re quite good-looking, so that’s a plus…”
Luo Yuxi hid behind a rock. The ground trembled again, and two more giant shadows passed overhead. She guessed they were the giant girl’s companions.
“I should leave before they find me…”
Luo Yuxi carefully avoided the two giants. The beast that had almost killed her was now being dragged like a toy.
“You two are here, good. Help me carry this, it’s surprisingly heavy~”
“Coming, coming. Really, you ran off so fast, what if you had gotten into trouble…?”
…
The two giant girls dragged their prey away. Luo Yuxi watched, marveling at their strength. If a giant girl became a witch, would she become a First Order?
“A strong, resilient body, devastating power, and then unique magic…”
The thought excited Luo Yuxi. She had never encountered giants or dragons in the game, probably because they were too overpowered. Seeing the three giants disappear, she opened her map and continued her journey.
“At this rate, it’ll take at least two days to reach the angel territory. I have to be careful in the giant territory…”
Luo Yuxi traveled through the forest, eating fruit from the trees and resting in the teapot. After two days, she finally reached the border between the giant and angel territories. Beyond the dense forest, she could see the outline of a city.
“A city? Well, I guess a proud race like the angels wouldn’t live in a village…”
Luo Yuxi put the teapot back in her bag and brushed the leaves off her clothes. Her pink hair was a mess from her journey, but she was still beautiful. She changed into her nun’s habit.
“I knew this outfit would come in handy…”
Luo Yuxi looked at her familiar black and white habit. Although not as comfortable as the silver and gold-trimmed one, it was familiar. And if she encountered any Church members, they would recognize her.
“Alright, let’s go!”
As she stepped out of the forest, the mark on her hand glowed, and two fairies appeared. Luo Yuxi was confused. She hadn’t summoned them.
“Master! Thank goodness, it’s really you! You’re okay!”
“Master! When you fell into the teleportation circle, we were so worried! And we couldn’t open the passage from this side!”
Luo Yuxi realized these were the two fairies who had been carrying her teapot. She extended her hand, and they landed on her palm.
“I just asked you to take me somewhere safe, why did you send me here? And what teleportation circle?”
“We were trying to take you out of Apal, Master, but as soon as we left the basement, that blonde human girl saw us!”
“A blonde human girl? Isabelle? She’s so paranoid, she even caught a teapot…”
“That girl had long, blonde hair, wearing a noble’s dress, and she had a strong smell of blood…”
Luo Yuxi had a good idea of who it was. Besides vampires, only Isabelle, who frequently self-harmed, would have such a strong scent of blood.
“Alright, I understand. But how did you send me so far, all the way to the Far South?”
“The Far South? I didn’t expect you to be so far away, Master. We were surrounded by guards, so we had to put the teapot in the teleportation circle…”
“You just put it in the teleportation circle? Well, it’s better than being captured.”
“The teleportation circle was incomplete. That’s probably why you ended up here…”
Luo Yuxi now understood what had happened. But she was here now, she would find a way back. She sighed and waved her hand.
“Alright, it’s done. I don’t blame you two, it was the best option at the time. You can go back now…”
“Yes!”
The two fairies nodded and returned to the Holy Mark on Luo Yuxi’s hand. Luo Yuxi touched the mark, feeling no texture, only a change in color.
“This is half a cheat, I guess…”
Luo Yuxi continued towards the plain. As she crested a hill, she saw a field of golden wheat, a beautiful sight.
“A village! I should be able to get back soon!”
