Chapter 35: Tainting the Seat of Judgment
Gabriel spread her wings, a single white cloth covering her private parts, the wounds from her previous ordeal still aching. She flew out of the Holy City, looking at the ravaged landscape, a cold indifference in her eyes, as if the captured angels were not her kin. She looked up at the battle in the sky.
“The prisoner has escaped, the cage is useless…”
Gabriel summoned her golden armor and looked at the familiar figure, her hand tightening around her weapon.
“All-Knowing Witch, Shizhi, because of you, I’ve fallen to this state…!”
Gabriel charged into the clouds, her voice filled with rage. The All-Knowing Witch, having dodged an attack, saw her coming. Gabriel, filled with resentment, swung her hammer at the witch’s head, but a single glance from the witch deflected the blow.
“Gabriel?!”
“You bastard, why are you so strong?!”
Both were stunned. Gabriel couldn’t believe the weakling she had raised could withstand her attack, and the All-Knowing Witch was surprised by her quick recovery.
“It seems we have a new player. Let the carnival begin~”
Meredith, the Seat of Hope, snapped her fingers, and a giant die appeared above Gabriel, landing on a six.
[6 points]
“Damn it, what the hell is this thing on my head?!”
[Hyper-Sensitive]
Before Gabriel could understand, a wave of heightened senses washed over her, allowing her to anticipate attacks, her skin so sensitive she could feel the slightest change in the air. But the effect was fleeting.
“W-Wait, my body feels strange~”
Gabriel felt like she was being tickled by a thousand ants. The beneficial effect was now a form of torture, a current of electricity running through her body. Her previous ordeal had already made her sensitive, and now this.
Meredith looked at Gabriel, who was falling from the sky, confused. She had just wanted to give her a buff, but she had been defeated so easily.
“This is bad, I really did hit an ally…”
“After this is over, you’re going to the brothel to atone for your sins with your body…”
Ailani appeared beside Meredith, her voice cold. Aesf simply patted Meredith’s shoulder.
“I’ll be sure to visit…”
“Uh, it was a mistake!!”
Meanwhile, on the ground, Luo Yuxi stopped what she was doing, wiped her wet hands, and put down the unconscious Yuehua Fengyun. She had thought it would last longer, but she had fainted after only a short while.
“Oh no, what if someone sees this…?”
Luo Yuxi looked at the three “cream puffs”: the unconscious Lika, the overstimulated Ann, and the fainted Yuehua Fengyun.
“I should deal with this. If only I had a spatial divine art…”
Luo Yuxi was about to dress the three when she remembered her teapot.
“Oh my, I almost forgot about it~”
Luo Yuxi took out the diamond-encrusted golden teapot and, with a touch of the spout, the three unconscious figures were sucked inside. The messy battlefield was now clean. Luo Yuxi, satisfied, put on her clothes and stood with her hands on her hips.
“I don’t know who sent this, but it’s a real treasure~”
Meanwhile, inside the teapot, the teapot spirit, who had been about to take a nap, saw three “cream puffs” appear on her bed and dropped her pillow.
“Three more? What a terrible master…”
The teapot spirit grumbled, knowing her complaints would go unheard. Luo Yuxi began to think of how to feign being rescued.
“Those angels couldn’t even hold them off for that long…”
Luo Yuxi turned and looked at the city walls, now being bombarded by siege crossbows and explosive magic, crumbling under the assault. Countless angels were fleeing. The once impregnable Holy City was now like a paper lantern.
“Maybe I should just sneak back with the main army. The little church in the south was much better…”
Luo Yuxi looked at the pillar of light in the distance, the Church’s main camp. As she was thinking of how to make her entrance, a bad feeling washed over her.
“Something’s not right, why is it so quiet…?”
Luo Yuxi realized she had entered an unknown space, the sounds of battle gone. She panicked.
“Found you…”
[Divine Art: Judgment Cross]
“!!!!!”
In the blink of an eye, Luo Yuxi was on a silver cross, Lin Jian, the Seat of Judgment, approaching with a bible.
“Luo Yuxi, your judgment begins now…”
The scene shifted to an endless abyss, only the cross and Luo Yuxi remaining.
“B-Bishop, why are you here? I… I just escaped, I was looking for you!”
“Attempting to deceive with lies is another sin…”
Lin Jian looked at the bible, her face emotionless. Luo Yuxi, seeing the familiar scene, the place of her execution in the game, panicked.
“Wait! Wait! What did I do?! Are you going to kill me?!”
“Colluding with witches, framing a bishop, indulging in lust, brainwashing and dominating…”
With each sin, Luo Yuxi felt death creeping closer. Any one of these was a major offense, and now she was caught by the by-the-book Lin Jian.
“Wait, don’t kill me! I can explain!!”
“You’ll repay all your sins with your body…”
“N-No, don’t kill me, I’ll do anything… hmm? Wait, with what?”
Lin Jian, her face still emotionless, began to undress, approaching Luo Yuxi.
“I said, with your body…”
“Ah, no… Bishop, you!”
Lin Jian slowly lifted her skirt, revealing alluring black stockings and garter straps. Luo Yuxi swallowed nervously.
“The bear panties were an accident. This is my usual attire…”
“Ah, you remember that…?”
