Chapter 143: Shut Up
The meeting place was crowded.
It was the weekend.
The shopping spree hadn’t ended yet, and the entrance to the merchant guild was packed with people stocking up on winter supplies.
Agnes, in a snow-white dress, sat on a bench in the Imperial Plaza in front of the guild.
Her features were delicate, her eyebrows slightly furrowed, as if waiting for someone who was late.
“Ten minutes, if she doesn’t show up, I won’t forgive her!”
Her shapely legs were clad in sheer, nude-colored stockings, a wide-brimmed summer hat casting a shadow over her face, revealing only her bright red lips.
She had dressed up carefully, but the person she was waiting for was nowhere to be seen.
Agnes suspected this was Lena’s way of asserting dominance, deliberately avoiding her to deflate her ego.
After all, that person was the infamous “Lesbian Queen” Lena, how could she willingly be Agnes’s little girlfriend…
“Hey, over here.”
Agnes waved, her high heels clicking against the pavement.
She tapped the shoulder of the person in front of her, who seemed to be in a daze. “Why are you dressed like a delinquent?”
“Oh, I’m just playing the part.” Lena lowered her sunglasses. “To avoid gossip, I had to dress neutrally and hide my devastatingly beautiful face, what a crime, Professor.”
She raised her chin playfully.
Lena had managed to make even a simple black sleeveless hoodie look stylish, paired with a pleated skirt and boots, the exposed skin of her slender legs adding a touch of allure to her androgynous look.
A closer look revealed her stunning beauty.
Such a cool and beautiful girl!
Agnes coughed, slightly flustered. “Come on, stop pretending.”
“Don’t look at me like that, Professor, I had to dig this out from the bottom of my closet, and I even sacrificed my hair for this…” Lena’s voice was filled with mock grievance, almost tearing up.
But Agnes clearly noticed her neatly styled hair beneath her green beret, accentuating her rebellious aura.
Was this how one dressed for a date as someone’s girlfriend?
She looked more like a wealthy CEO slumming it!
“Little wolf in sheep’s clothing, don’t wet yourself when you see him later.”
“Hmph, I’ve been waiting for someone to make me wet myself, preferably a tall, busty beauty,” Lena said without shame.
Agnes sighed, exasperated.
How did she end up with such a shameless student? Well, after this, she would finally be free from Corvus’s harassment.
“Where should we go to kill time…?”
Agnes took the initiative, guiding Lena, this would be a perfect date.
“How about the fourth floor? I remember the Golden Guild has some new entertainment facilities, perfect for young people like you, Lena.”
She paced back and forth, talking to herself…
Lena smiled. “Professor, aren’t you also young?”
“Not at all, I’m already twenty-eight…” Agnes tucked a strand of her water-blue hair behind her ear, her age not reflected in her appearance, only enhancing her gentle and elegant aura.
The academy’s most popular professor, her reputation well-deserved.
“Really? You look like an eighteen-year-old girl,” Lena said sweetly.
“Don’t flatter me too much, I know my own age.”
“Hmph~”
Lena pouted, then noticing two familiar figures approaching, a mischievous smile appeared on her face.
She adjusted her beret, offering her arm to Agnes. “Quick, hold onto me, this is your only chance to dominate me, Professor~”
“As if you would need my help.”
Agnes gently took Lena’s arm, their movements natural and synchronized.
“Lena, what are you doing here?!”
The two figures had reached them, and one of them, a boy, exclaimed in surprise. “Wait, that’s not right, Professor Agnes, how could you…”
Caramy’s mind reeled.
He was meeting his ex-girlfriend today, planning a grand romantic date, even buying the little blue pills, but he had just run into the person he least wanted to see, how unlucky…
“It’s fine, go ahead with your plans, I’m off duty today,” Lena said casually, her hand gently resting on Agnes’s arm, playing the part of the doting girlfriend.
“Is that so…”
Caramy was skeptical, about to say goodbye.
But his companion sensed something amiss, her voice sharp and accusatory. “Two-timing, so it was because of her that you broke up with me?!”
She seemed to not recognize Lena, questioning Caramy’s infidelity.
“What are you talking about? Of course, I love you.”
“But you didn’t deny it! So I was the other woman all along!”
“Elena, don’t be unreasonable, do you even know who she is?”
Caramy sighed.
Although he knew Elena was just being insecure, she wasn’t entirely wrong…
He had lost interest in women because of Lena, that’s why he had broken up with his ex.
Now, even hearing Lena’s name made him uncomfortable, let alone seeing her in person…
“I’m being unreasonable? Ha! You’re calling me unreasonable?!”
Elena pointed at herself, her face a mask of disbelief.
“Caramy! Listen to yourself!!”
Caramy: “…”
“For a two-timing bitch, you dare call me unreasonable?! Who is she to you, that you’re defending her like this?!”

“Shut up, you idiot!”
Caramy’s voice trembled slightly, his hand stopping Elena’s outburst. Lena also discreetly withdrew her magic, enjoying the show.
“You hit me…”
Elena covered her face, tears welling up in her eyes.
A little drama was fine, but too much would damage a relationship, being overly dramatic only invited trouble.
Caramy shook his hand, his voice cold. “You’re being too impulsive.”
This was a public place, save the drama for private.
He didn’t want to be expelled from the [Doves]; his undercover status had brought him unimaginable benefits, like finally earning the respect of his condescending family elders.
Thanks to Lena assigning him as Diana’s confidant, he had become a favored figure in the eyes of the Godfrey family elders.
Like a eunuch whispering in the emperor’s ear, he was basking in the reflected glory of the princess.
So, he wouldn’t give up his promising future for a mere ex-girlfriend, especially not in front of Lena. He had to protect his life first, then worry about other things.
He had to silence this clueless woman…
Caramy sneered. “They’re a match made in heaven, what right do you have to object, you monster?”
