I Told You Not to Mess with Me

—Mu Xia: “So I’m someone you grew to love?”
—Han Qingshi: “You’re the kind of person one can only be lucky enough to meet.”

The day Mu Xia had a falling-out with her awful ex, she found herself a gorgeous older woman.
At first, Mu Xia thought she was just an ordinary woman who’d had a rough life, so she let herself enjoy the night—and left without a second thought.

A few days later, Mu Xia went to pitch a proposal to a client.
The moment the young boss walked in, poised, elegant, and far too familiar, Mu Xia’s composure collapsed…
No wonder the woman had kept warning her that night: “Mu Xia, don’t mess with me.”
Yeah. She really wasn’t someone Mu Xia could afford to mess with.
A workplace rookie up against an industry heavyweight—Mu Xia didn’t stand a chance.
And yet she’d had her fun that night, enough to leave bruises on the woman’s wrist.

The more their paths crossed, the more Mu Xia realized the woman was not to be trifled with.
At last, she understood: she hadn’t gotten involved with someone she should never have provoked because she was young and beautiful, with a sweet smile. The other woman had planned it all along, just waiting for Mu Xia to walk straight into the tiger’s jaws.
