In Base One’s Research Institute, there was a genius researcher with a notoriously unskilled younger sister. Everyone called her a waste.

Ruan Ming inherited the territory her father left behind, busying herself daily with clearing land and planting crops.

The Territory Central District transferred down a researcher—a stunningly beautiful one. She would send Ruan Ming gifts every few days: cured meat and eggs today, rice and noodles tomorrow.

When rats ravaged the crops on her land, the woman sent someone over with a cat. After only two meetings, she brazenly entered Ruan Ming’s home, insisting on sharing her bed.

Ruan Ming wrapped her arms around this wife who had delivered herself to her doorstep, pulled the blanket up over them both, and thought:
