During afternoon tea time, Du Min held up her hand, letting Chi Nuan look at the sparkling diamond ring on her ring finger. “I’ve only ever dated this one boyfriend, and now we’re getting married for life…… My God! Can you believe it? It’s completely unbelievable!”
During the New Year period, both sets of parents had urged them again, and the couple who had been dating for over five years finally made up their minds to get married.
Xue Wen curved her lips and said, “How romantic. The first person you met became your marriage partner.”
This made Du Min happy. “You’ll all be in my bridesmaid party then~”
Zhao Jingjing was out of town, Xu Dan had to work in the afternoon, Xue Wen was free, and Chi Nuan had become Gu Ningzi’s official assistant after quitting her job, so her schedule was much more flexible. “Hang on.” Xue Wen pulled out her mobile phone, messaged her photographer friend, and forwarded her Business Card to Du Min.

The executive floor had a broad view. Gu Ningzi held a cup and stood by the window gazing out. There was a light knock at the door. She turned and saw Chi Nuan pushing it open.
“Gu Ningzi.” Chi Nuan flashed her a big smile, walked over, and showed her the journal.
Gu Ningzi set down her cup and flipped through it casually. “Flashy.”
“But it looks good.” Chi Nuan’s smile was very sweet. Her eyes lit up the moment they met Gu Ningzi’s gaze, stars sparkling instantly within them.
It was as if…… as if she was her sunshine. A little light from her, and she could shine brightly.
Gu Ningzi’s dimples faintly appeared. Just as she was about to say something, Chi Nuan’s mobile phone rang.
It was Xue Wen.
“My lighter seems to have been left in your car,” Xue Wen said.
Chi Nuan replied, “……Really? I’ll go look for it. Where are you?”

After hanging up, Chi Nuan explained to Gu Ningzi, who glanced toward the door, signaling her to go ahead.
Chi Nuan went down to the garage and indeed found a diamond-encrusted lighter in the car. She took it outside the company building to wait for Xue Wen. A few minutes later, Xue Wen arrived.
Chi Nuan handed her the lighter. Xue Wen toyed with it on her fingertip. “Sorry about that. It was a gift from a friend; it’d be bad if I lost it.”
Chi Nuan said, “No problem.”
Xue Wen waved, a smile on her lips. “Go on up. Don’t let it delay your work.”
The two said goodbye again. As Chi Nuan entered the building and waited for the elevator, she ran into He Zhen, who had finished seeing off the guests. He Zhen asked, “You know about Siqin Group, right?”
Chi Nuan answered, “Yeah.”
The elementary school where she had taught before was under Siqin Group. The elevator arrived, and they entered together. He Zhen pressed the floor and smiled slightly at Chi Nuan. “Those executives earlier were from Siqin.
