Chapter 9

Jiang Sisi peeled Leng Xiang out from that pile of clothes.

She turned on the air conditioning in the hotel room and set it to a slightly higher temperature. Leng Xiang was already somewhat delirious. She twisted restlessly on the bed, kicking off the covers. Half of the blanket slid off the bed and fell onto the hotel carpet.

Jiang Sisi recalled the feel of her touch earlier—Leng Xiang was covered in sweat. If this continued, she might even become dehydrated.

After a moment’s thought, Jiang Sisi went to the bathroom attached to the hotel room, wrung out a wet towel, and brought back a glass of water.

But when she returned, she had a bad feeling.

Leng Xiang must have felt too uncomfortable. She rolled around on the bed, rubbing against the sheets. Her foot got caught in the blanket that had fallen to the carpet, and she tumbled right off the bed, landing on the pile of covers on the floor.

Jiang Sisi: “……”

Amused by the sight, Jiang Sisi placed the wet towel and glass of water on the bedside table. She squatted down to pick her up and put her back on the bed.

Her skirt was already torn, so Jiang Sisi simply removed it. The top she had been wearing was nowhere to be seen, lost somewhere in the corner of the bed. Her bra had been unhooked at some point, and she lay sprawled on the covers. Her long hair, reaching down to her waist, spilled across the white fabric, curling into soft arcs. She was left with only the last scrap of fabric clinging precariously to her body, on the verge of falling off.

Jiang Sisi didn’t know where to start.

The situation was already awkward enough, but then Leng Xiang unconsciously flipped over, exposing everything to Jiang Sisi’s view—both what should and shouldn’t be seen.

Leng Xiang still seemed unbearably hot, a thin layer of sweat covering her skin, giving her whole body a rosy, watery glow.

Jiang Sisi: “……”

From her perspective, Leng Xiang was indeed very beautiful.

At that moment, Leng Xiang seemed to regain a sliver of awareness. Her fair, slender arm draped over the edge of the bed as she tried with all her might to pull herself up. But the alcohol and drugs had drained her of all strength. Before she could collapse back onto the pile of covers on the carpet, Jiang Sisi quickly reached out to support her.

The touch felt incredibly good.

One hand slid under her waist, the other hooked behind her knee. Leng Xiang was tall, but surprisingly light—almost unreal.

Jiang Sisi lifted her back onto the bed and settled her in.

She picked up the glass first, pressing the rim to Leng Xiang’s lips to feed her a sip of water. But Leng Xiang was too out of it; she held the water in her mouth without swallowing, letting it dribble from the corner of her lips bit by bit. Unable to get her to drink, Jiang Sisi gave up and set the half-full glass on the bedside table. She took the wet towel from the other side and gently wiped the thin sheen of sweat from her body.

·

Leng Xiang’s body temperature was scorching. Even through the towel, Jiang Sisi could feel it warming up, the initial coolness quickly overtaken by Leng Xiang’s heat until the towel itself grew warm. Yet Leng Xiang’s temperature only rose higher.

This wasn’t right.

Jiang Sisi remembered the small bottle she’d seen. From the label, it was some kind of unspeakable drug. She had no idea how much Leng Xiang had inhaled to end up like this.

And judging by her current state, she was so tormented that she was completely out of her mind and didn’t even recognize who Jiang Sisi was.

This was tricky.

Leng Xiang’s heat had fully warmed the towel. Jiang Sisi thought about getting a fresh one from the bathroom and started to move away from the bed. But the hand holding the towel was suddenly grabbed by Leng Xiang.

Her grip was weak—impressive that she could hold on at all. Jiang Sisi turned to look at her. Leng Xiang lay on the bed, the covers half-pulled away, revealing a vast expanse of snow-white skin. Her body trembled faintly, her face flushed with unbearable need.

At some point, Leng Xiang’s eyes had opened wide, but they were unfocused. She stared blankly at Jiang Sisi’s wrist, drawn to its cool temperature. She wrapped herself around Jiang Sisi entirely, instinctively seeking that comforting chill, nuzzling into her embrace without a thought.

Her soft body held a fatal allure. She knew nothing now, only craving relief.

Jiang Sisi couldn’t pull her hand free or step away. Helplessly, she coaxed, “Let go first, okay?”

Leng Xiang frowned, pondering as if struggling to comprehend the words. Then she firmly shook her head.

Amused, Jiang Sisi tried again. “If you let go, I’ll toss the towel, and you can hold on again, okay?”

Leng Xiang’s dulled mind processed it. The towel was in the way, rough and now hot—far less comfortable than Jiang Sisi’s skin. Finally, she reluctantly agreed.

Jiang Sisi barely managed to extract her wrist and tossed the towel aside. She tried to slip away while she could, but Leng Xiang sensed it immediately and grew displeased, her brows furrowing in a mix of grievance, petulance, and coquettishness—like she was sulking. The moment Jiang Sisi started to rise, Leng Xiang pounced, pinning her into the mattress.

Jiang Sisi found herself under Leng Xiang, those dark, beautiful eyes staring intently at her.

Suddenly, Leng Xiang leaned down and kissed her cheek.

Jiang Sisi: “……”

She had only planned to take care of her and go home to sleep. But this kiss stirred even her.

She had little resistance to beautiful women with great figures, especially one who kept rubbing against her like this.

Jiang Sisi frowned, trying to hold her down and get her to lie still. But suddenly, Leng Xiang’s strength surged, as if she’d found her favorite toy and refused to let go.

The tide stirred by the alcohol and drugs fully unleashed itself. The soft sounds humming from Leng Xiang’s throat sounded exquisite to Jiang Sisi.

Still pinned beneath her, Jiang Sisi watched as Leng Xiang, unsatisfied with the contact, fumbled at her clothes but couldn’t figure out how to remove them. In frustration, she bit down on Jiang Sisi’s neck. Jiang Sisi hissed in pain.

She bit people now?

After biting, Leng Xiang lowered her gaze to look at her.

Jiang Sisi met her eyes for a moment, then covered her own in pained contemplation—was this taking advantage of her vulnerability? After a quiet reflection on life, she looked up again, straight into Leng Xiang’s eyes.

They were stunning, like a deer’s.

In that instant, Jiang Sisi gripped Leng Xiang fiercely, flipped them over forcefully, and pinned her beneath.

God…

Sorry.

·

One of Jiang Sisi’s hands held Leng Xiang close while the other trailed downward.

Leng Xiang began to tremble nonstop. Only then did Jiang Sisi realize just how much she was suffering—explaining why she’d been rubbing against her so desperately.

Jiang Sisi felt her fingers grow slick. Leng Xiang let out blissful moans, arching into her hand. When Jiang Sisi ventured deeper, she met a slight resistance.

Leng Xiang felt the pain too and shrank back a little, wanting it yet afraid.

Leng Xiang was out of it, but Jiang Sisi wasn’t.

Surprised, Jiang Sisi raised an eyebrow.

She suddenly recalled the rumor from a few years back—Leng Xiang supposedly seducing an executive at Excellence Media, failing to break them up and getting blacklisted instead. And if she remembered right, Leng Xiang and Qin Wen had dated for a full three years. How had they not gone this far?

She hesitated, but Leng Xiang’s body sensed her withdrawal and clung to her with a whimper, her voice sticky and needy.

“Don’t… don’t go…”

Jiang Sisi drew in a sharp breath, staring at the face beneath her. Her own state wasn’t much better. She pinched Leng Xiang’s cheek and kissed her almost tenderly.

Leng Xiang’s response was clumsy, inexperienced. Pity stirred in Jiang Sisi’s heart. She whispered softly, “Do you want it?”

Leng Xiang let out a pitiful whine, murmuring faintly, “Yes…”

Jiang Sisi leaned down and kissed her again, gently sucking and rubbing her lips.

She smiled. “I hope you don’t regret this.”

A famous influencer on Weibo once commented on Leng Xiang, saying that while she is undeniably beautiful and a brilliant actress, she is far too unyielding—possessing a spine "higher than the heavens." In the entertainment industry, a person like that is destined to fail.
Leng Xiang replied with only one word: "Scram."

Years later, the legendarily unyielding Leng Xiang became the secret lover of the renowned director, Jiang Sisi.

The media leaked a story claiming that Leng Xiang, the lead actress in famous director Jiang Sisi’s new film Luxury, had an old grudge against the director. Their relationship was reportedly toxic, described as being as incompatible as "fire and water."
Just as netizens were grabbing their popcorn to watch the drama unfold, Leng Xiang posted a clarification on Weibo.
Leng Xiang: "We aren't close."

Later, they were photographed entering and leaving the same apartment building together.
Leng Xiang: "Just discussing the script. Seriously, we aren't close."

Even later, the two of them posted on Weibo again:
Jiang Sisi: "You are my most precious. @LengXiangV"
Leng Xiang: "I love you too. @JiangSisiV"

Netizens: "Like hell we’ll ever believe you again!!"
