“Hey! Trying to cut in line, huh!”
“I-I’m with her.”
Seeing so many people staring at her, the socially anxious Su Mu’s face instantly flushed red. She hurriedly explained in a panic.
“Show me your token.”
“Token?”
Hearing the soldier say this, Su Mu remembered that Chen Qing had indeed handed an iron token to the soldier earlier.
“No token and you want to cut in line? Go back and wait in line properly.”
The soldier was about to chase Su Mu back when, fortunately, Chen Qing worried that she would waste time lining up again and called Su Mu over.
Confirming that Su Mu was truly with Chen Qing, the soldier didn’t dare obstruct her too much and let her pass.
“Where’d you get this token from? It’s so impressive.”
Su Mu glanced at the long line still waiting and curiously asked Chen Qing.
“Snatched it off a dead man.”
Chen Qing glanced faintly at Su Mu and said breezily.
The moment she heard it was snatched from a dead man, Su Mu’s curiosity instantly vanished.
The two walked into Cloud City in silence. The bustling streets immediately drew Su Mu’s attention.
All sorts of stalls lined both sides of the road, with vendors hawking their wares energetically.
There were many strange and exotic items that Su Mu, with her modern soul, had never even seen before.
But when she patted her pockets and found not a single copper coin, she could only look.
Chen Qing didn’t pay much attention to the roadside stalls either. She led Su Mu straight to an inn.
Once inside the inn, Su Mu looked around curiously, like a country bumpkin entering the grand city.
Chen Qing brought Su Mu to the inn’s counter.
Chen Qing placed the Wild Wolf Token on the counter. The innkeeper glanced at it, then looked at Su Mu standing behind her.
He handed over two room tokens, but Chen Qing only took one.
Su Mu reached for the other one, but after a glare from Chen Qing, she could only helplessly withdraw her hand.
Following the room token, they found their room. Only after entering did Su Mu finally breathe a sigh of relief.
From the moment they entered the inn, Su Mu had felt the atmosphere was a bit off. Although the other guests were minding their own business drinking,
she could clearly sense that they were watching her and Chen Qing with sidelong glances.
The aura emanating from these guests also made Su Mu feel somewhat uneasy.
Once inside the room, Su Mu felt much better.
Chen Qing closed the door and turned to look at Su Mu.
“W-What’s wrong?”
Stared at by Chen Qing’s strange gaze, Su Mu felt uneasy, her heart crawling with goosebumps.
“I’m heading out. You stay in the room. Don’t wander off.”
With that, Chen Qing opened the door and left again.
After Chen Qing had been gone a short while, Su Mu cautiously cracked open the door and quietly observed the situation downstairs.
Seeing that Chen Qing had indeed left the inn, she breathed a sigh of relief.
This damn Villain had actually really left. She had thought it was a test.
Su Mu happily lay down on the bed, enjoying the softness of the bedding.
After sleeping on outdoor grass for two days, she could finally experience a proper bed again.
But after lying there a bit, Su Mu got up from the bed again.
Having sweated so much over the past two days, she felt sticky all over.
If she went on like this, Su Mu felt like she was going to stink.
She opened the door, and just then, a waiter happened to pass by.
“Um, brother, could you bring some water? I want to take a hot bath.”
“Sure thing, miss. Please wait a moment.”
The waiter looked at Su Mu’s stunningly beautiful face, a flash of amazement in his eyes.
Hearing that Su Mu wanted bathwater, he agreed without hesitation.
Su Mu paced boredly in the room for a while when there was a knock at the door.
“Miss, your hot bathwater is here!”
“Thanks.”
Su Mu locked the door, stripped off her clothes, and sank her long, fair legs into the steaming bathwater.
The warm sensation enveloped her body, making her let out a comfortable muffled hum.
Clumsily tying up her long hair behind her, she looked at her tantalizingly long legs in the water. A faint blush colored Su Mu’s pretty face.
It had been so long since transmigrating to this world, and she’d always been pinned down by that damn Villain Chen Qing. She still hadn’t properly observed her own body.
Anyway, this body was hers now. Looking at it shouldn’t be a problem.
With that thought, Su Mu’s little heart pounded wildly. Her slightly flushed, delicate face resembled a ripe apple, tempting one to take a bite and taste it.
She slightly parted her plump thighs and squinted one eye to peer down.
Just as she was about to glimpse that forbidden place, the door suddenly creaked open.
The sudden noise startled Su Mu. She hurriedly covered herself with her hands, trying to keep her expression calm to mask the panic in her eyes.
“I thought you’d run away. Didn’t expect you to be so obedient.”
Chen Qing was holding a black leather bag in her hand and looked somewhat surprised at Su Mu.
She had already prepared to use Su Mu’s escape as an excuse to bully her harshly that night.
Unexpectedly, Su Mu was even more obedient than she’d imagined. Not only did she not run, but she was leisurely soaking in a bath in the room.
“I-I wouldn’t run away, of course.”
Su Mu’s words carried a cute tremor, clearly trying her best to suppress her inner panic.
But with her acting skills, Chen Qing saw through it at a glance.
Though she didn’t know what Su Mu had been doing, her panicked appearance screamed that she’d done something bad while Chen Qing was away.
Chen Qing set the bag on the ground, a teasing smile curling at her lips.
“My good Shizun is so obedient. Looks like I really need to reward you properly.”
The sound of Chen Qing’s slowly approaching footsteps made Su Mu’s already panicked heartbeat even more erratic.
She hadn’t expected Chen Qing to return so soon.
Though looking at herself was perfectly normal,
Su Mu’s heart still felt inexplicably flustered, like being caught doing something naughty in the room by someone close to her.
Chen Qing, approaching slowly, had now reached Su Mu’s back.
Looking down from above, Chen Qing noticed the spot Su Mu’s hand was covering and instantly had a bizarre thought.
Could it be that this Traitorous Shizun, while I was away, was secretly…
Unaware that Chen Qing had misunderstood, Su Mu was still trying her best to cover it up.
“I-I was just taking a bath. Why’d you come back so early?”
Su Mu’s attempt to cover it up only solidified Chen Qing’s suspicion.
She hadn’t expected that the aloof Shizun who cried and begged “no” beneath her would secretly pleasure herself.
But this misunderstanding didn’t make Chen Qing happy about catching Su Mu’s handle.
Instead, it darkened her expression. Su Mu secretly taking care of herself.
Didn’t that indirectly mean she wasn’t satisfying enough?
So that teary-eyed crying had all been fake, just to placate her.
