The auction house featured eleven private boxes. The central VIP Room Zero stood empty, while the other ten were allocated to Silver Moon City’s top ten powers. The City Lord’s VIP Room One lay to the left of center, with VIP Room Two to the right—likely occupied by Xiao Mie and his father.
VIP Room Zero, if the script held true, belonged to Good Big Sister.
The boxes had one-way crystal walls, allowing views outward but not inward. Even so, Yan Zhen’s sharp senses picked up a gaze emanating from the central box.
Sure enough, moments later, a lovely attendant hurried over and said politely.
“Young Master Yan Zhen, the Chief Manager requests your presence in the upstairs VIP Room Zero. Would you care to join her?”
Yan Zhen turned to Mentor Yu Xuan, his eyes seeking her approval. After all, he’d promised to keep her company tonight.
Mentor Yu Xuan noticed the gesture, her heart warming. She linked her arm with his and smiled faintly.
“Since they’ve extended the invitation, let’s go say hello.”
Even the unrelated attendant picked up on the subtle edge in her words, her legs turning a bit wobbly.
The Chief Manager? And who was this woman…?
“Please, follow me.”
They trailed the attendant to VIP Room Zero and entered.
Two grand VIP chairs faced each other by the water-view wall. Ji Ya occupied the one on the right, dressed in her signature qipao, black stockings, and high heels—though the styles had slight variations for a more allure.
Behind her stood the twin bodyguards Jin Tong and Yu Nu at rigid attention, while Aunt Mu, a Mystic King, scanned the surroundings discreetly.
Hearing them enter, Ji Ya turned from the view of the hall below and flashed Yan Zhen a seductive smile.
“Little Brother Yan Zhen, if you hadn’t come soon, Big Sis was going to fetch you herself.”
Yan Zhen couldn’t tell if she was joking, but it gave him a headache anyway.
“I’ve been busy pill refining.”
“Did it work?”
“I managed it, but one night of work yielded only two pills.”
Yan Zhen retrieved the small vial containing the Supreme-Grade Detox Pills from his storage ring, gave it a casual shake for show, then handed it to her.
Ji Ya accepted the vial, uncorked it for a peek, recorked it, and casually tucked it into the impossibly deep cleavage of her chest. She beamed.
“Two pills are plenty for any emergencies. Thanks, Little Brother Yan Zhen~”
Yan Zhen flushed at the sight, and even Mentor Yu Xuan’s cheeks tinted pink.
“Ahem.”
Mentor Yu Xuan cleared her throat to remind them of her presence.
Ji Ya acted as if only just noticing her.
“Little Brother Yan Zhen, who’s this beauty beside you? Introduce her to Big Sis~”
Before Yan Zhen could respond, Mentor Yu Xuan spoke up.
“I’m Yan Zhen’s mentor—surname Yu, given name Xuan. I’ve been looking after him since he enrolled. I’ve never heard that the Golden Jade Chamber of Commerce’s Chief Manager is his big sister. What’s this about?”
Her voice was soft and gentle, but her words carried a pointed edge.
“So you’re Little Brother Yan Zhen’s mentor. My apologies for the oversight.” Ji Ya rose with the air of a parent. “Thank you for taking care of him all this time. I trust he’s been well-behaved at the academy?”
Mentor Yu Xuan smiled warmly at that, her slender hand ruffling Yan Zhen’s hair.
“No need to worry, Chief Manager. Yan Zhen has always been very obedient to me—far more so than his peers. His grades are outstanding too; he’s held the top spot in the academy for three straight months.”
“Not surprising at all from Little Brother Yan Zhen. Big Sis is so proud~”
“As his mentor, I feel the same pride.”
“Heh heh heh.”
“Ha ha ha.”
What the hell? This isn’t some elementary school parent-teacher conference! Don’t treat me like a kid!
Yan Zhen felt a vein throbbing on his forehead. Stop petting his head already, or it’d go bald.
He knew it—this was why these two couldn’t meet. He was the one who’d suffer!
“Ji Ya Sister, if there’s nothing else, Mentor Yu Xuan and I will head down now.”
Ji Ya shot him a look.
“Why leave? You can participate in the auction just fine from here. Doesn’t Little Brother Yan Zhen want to stay with Sister?”
—I don’t want you staying with Mentor Yu Xuan!
“I didn’t mean it that way… Would sitting with me and Mentor Yu Xuan disturb you, Sister Ji Ya?”
“Sister gets bored all by myself. Come sit down quick—the refreshments are all ready.” Ji Ya smiled and beckoned them over. “That said, I didn’t expect Little Brother Yan Zhen to bring your mentor along, so I only prepared two chairs. The auction’s about to start, and we’re short-staffed. It’d take too long to fetch a new one now, so why don’t you sit with Sister for the time being?”
With that, Ji Ya naturally extended her slender white hand and gently clasped Yan Zhen’s, pulling him to her side.
Mentor Yu Xuan’s beautiful eyes narrowed slightly. She swiftly grabbed Yan Zhen’s other hand and said softly, “Let me sit with him instead. We came up here together, after all.”
“How could we do that? What kind of host leaves a guest without a seat, forcing them to squeeze in? If anyone saw, they’d laugh at the Golden Jade Chamber of Commerce for poor hospitality.”
Even as she spoke, Ji Ya tugged harder in secret.
Mentor Yu Xuan gradually increased her own pull. “There’s no one else here. You’re overthinking it, Chief Manager!”
“On matters of principle, we must hold firm, whether anyone’s watching or not.”
“But knowing when to adapt is important too.”
The two women each gripped one of Yan Zhen’s hands, tugging firmly while trading sharp, tit-for-tat barbs.
Yan Zhen had a splitting headache. What was this? A Shura Field between Good Big Sister and his mentor? This was too weird!
This was supposed to be a no-female-lead power fantasy. What was with the Shura Field? And their tugs were starting to hurt!
After all, both Good Big Sister and Mentor Yu Xuan were at the Mystic Master Realm—one a Nine Star powerhouse, the other Seven Star!
“Stop, stop! No more tugging! You’re gonna rip me apart!”
The women quickly eased their grip but didn’t let go. Instead, they pressed closer, wrapping his arms in their embrace and sandwiching them between their perky breasts. They rubbed against him ever so slightly, teasing his nerves in a bid to sway him toward their side.
“Yan Zhen, who do you want to sit with?” asked Mentor Yu Xuan.
“Little Brother Yan Zhen, sit with Sister?” urged Ji Ya.
—Talk about a tough choice!
The sensations along his arms were utterly different—one a soft cushion, the other a tender bounce. Yan Zhen’s thoughts scattered in an instant. He gritted his teeth, steadying his mind before saying, “I won’t sit. You two take the seats. I’ll just stand like the guard sister over there.”
“The auction will last quite a while. Standing the whole time would tire you out,” Ji Ya said considerately. She then suggested, “How about this? We three can squeeze onto one chair together. Sound good?”
Mentor Yu Xuan understood full well that Ji Ya wanted to embarrass her into backing down with such an intimate setup. But she wasn’t about to give up so easily.
“Fine, let’s all sit together then.”
And so—
One of the two VIP chairs was carried away, leaving a single one positioned squarely in the center.
The three of them crammed onto that lone chair—butts pressed together, shoulders brushing, each woman linking arms with Yan Zhen as they secretly vied for dominance.
Sandwiched between them, Yan Zhen felt waves of warmth radiating from the soft flesh on either side of his hips. Even the slightest shift let him sense their exquisite, tender bounce.
Real Yan Zhen: Who could possibly withstand this?!
Angel Yan Zhen: Hold strong!
Devil Yan Zhen: Already handled.
