Chapter 6: The Ice Eagle Beast King
Su Lingxi’s condition caught Su Yuebai completely off guard. She never expected Su Lingxi’s Scorching Sun Heavenly Poison to erupt so quickly.
Then, a thought struck her. She looked at the leftovers from Su Lingxi’s meal. Within her perception, she could clearly feel a trace of the world’s spiritual energy hidden within the remains.
It was this trace of spiritual energy, hidden inside the snow rabbit, that Su Lingxi had consumed.
Once the spiritual energy entered her body, it immediately activated the dormant Scorching Sun Heavenly Poison, causing the poison to flare up uncontrollably.
The snow rabbit was supposed to be an extremely common animal, not even considered a spiritual beast.

Su Yuebai bit her lower lip, having made a difficult decision.
She steadied her mind and silently recited in her heart, “Master, I’m sorry. To save your life… this disciple has no other choice!”
Then, she extended a trembling hand towards Su Lingxi’s collar.
That’s right, she planned to use her own body to awaken her master’s Exquisite Body.
Even if Su Lingxi would blame her, or even hate her, after waking up.
Su Yuebai was willing to do it, because she wanted her master to live!

After a long moment, Su Lingxi managed to speak with difficulty, “Take me… to the western part of the Glacial Snow Domain…”
The reason Su Lingxi said this was because the system, seeing her persistence, had taken pity on her.
It had told her the location of one of the ingredients.
Even in this state, Su Lingxi was unwilling to touch her eldest disciple.
Seeing that Su Lingxi had slightly improved, Su Yuebai felt too embarrassed to do that kind of thing in front of her master.

The two soon arrived at a cliff face. Being in the extreme north, the mountain was covered in a thick layer of ice.
On top of the ice lay some perennial snow. If one looked closely, they could see translucent, pale white blades of grass growing from the ice.
“Is that the Ice Glimmer Grass Master is looking for?”
Su Yuebai pointed at the grass covering the mountainside. Following Su Yuebai’s gaze, Su Lingxi quickly confirmed it with the system.
After getting the system’s affirmation, Su Lingxi nodded.
“That’s it. Yuebai, could you help me get some…”
Su Lingxi knew that trying to climb up there herself would be suicide, so she gave up on the idea.
Without another word, Su Yuebai concealed Su Lingxi’s aura. A surge of spiritual energy rose from beneath her feet, lifting her straight towards the cliff face.
Flying up a small mountain of a few hundred meters was no problem for someone at the Soul Formation realm. In no time, Su Yuebai reached the Ice Glimmer Grass and used her spiritual energy to envelop it.
Then, she carefully placed the Ice Glimmer Grass into a jade box she had prepared beforehand.
Everything seemed to be going incredibly smoothly.
The heart that had been lodged in Su Lingxi’s throat finally settled.
Just as Su Yuebai was about to leave, a sharp, piercing cry echoed from above.
“Who dares to covet this king’s treasure?”
A massive, ice-type eagle spiritual beast soared in the sky, its two gigantic, ice-crystal wings blotting out the sun.

Before Su Yuebai could explain again, the Ice Eagle Beast King had already dived down. With a flap of its wings, dozens of ice spikes, each several meters long, shot straight at Su Yuebai.
Su Yuebai quickly gathered the spiritual energy in her body, raising a gray barrier in front of her. The ice spikes rained down on the barrier.
The two forces clashed, and the ice spikes instantly shattered into ice fragments, dissipating into the air.
Tiny beads of sweat covered Su Yuebai’s forehead; she was clearly struggling.
This move was obviously a probe from both sides. A casual strike from the Ice Eagle Beast King had caught Su Yuebai somewhat off guard.
